If a forum has an icon assigned to it, it would look nice to have it displayed to the left of the title in the forum thread view, like this:

By the nature of adding whoever in the pm conversation, I would like use it as a type of group chat, group post or group topic feature. Before IPS team agree with made some changes, anyone can collaborate to done these tasks? : 1. Change the pm icon, right now it is a inbox icon, I want to change to Chat icon 2. Move the location from member profile to mobilenavbar(like the Activity Stream and Search) , more front view for members. 3. (maybe is good ) I would like to give Clubs more unique and integrated of communication without go outside of the club. How about if convert the PM(I will call it group topic) as a part of the clubs features? So admin can add…

The design of the IPB Marketplace in the admin panel looks fantastic. I would like the interface for IP.Downloads in the default theme to look like this.

Please can you add reactions for contents of Topic Summary? What I want to do is create some custom reactions, then set criteria of post received, it will appear in the Topic Summary, the post will show first 3 lines of content (a redirect link) belong the name and icon of reaction. For moderation purpose I will configure permission that only moderators can use related reactions, but all members can see it.

Have searched through the forum and can only find one topic that kinda has what I'm looking to do. We have a Facebook group to compliment our forum. What I'd like to do is find out if there is a way to have a feed (say from forum members cars) that posts any new topics or new posts on current topics/threads straight to our Facebook page. I've seen IFTT and Zapier mentioned but have no idea how to set these up. Is there a simple way to have new forum posts going to our fb group automatically from the forum? Any help greatly appreciated thanks. Forum version is 4.5.3 (yes I know, i need to update!) Thank you in advance Dave

Hello folks, I had a field in our members' profiles - "Name" - that contained real member names and cities-of-residence. Up until this recent upgrade, It was for my eyes only, i.e., only for Admins. This is sensitive data because I promised anonymity to our members, but *I* always knew who they were. Even Moderators shouldn't be able to see this information. Anyway, as the three screenshots (hopefully) show, I no longer have the option to make this "Admin-only." Is there any way we can put this in as an option? Before, I had it displayed in each post, so I could see who the author was at-a-glance; now, I have to trudge onto the ACP, and that takes about 1-2 minu…

We recently tried to comply with GDPR data deletion request for one of our clients and stumbled upon a major issue with Invision's anonymise attributions ability. As part of this process we must delete the users from the forum. We want to keep conversation flowing and so we want to anonymise attributions which is great and generally understood to be an acceptable GDPR approach/ However, many users like to use their full names as usernames, this is Personal Identifiable Information. So you delete the user and the username is changed to guest, great! However, if anyone has "quoted" that user then the name still appears throughout the thread leaving a huge…

Hey there. Wondering... would anyone else be interested in an application / plugin that barred administrators from reading member's PMs? I'm the only admin on my site currently, but it's just the principal of it. I would feel more comfortable knowing that my member's had this step towards privacy in place. I would never read my members' PMs, and have read the arguments here why this feature should still exist, but I personally would like to remove that capability out of principal. Thoughts?

Currently there is only a very limited set of social media profiles available. It has been like this for far too long. Please add the several big missing platforms or the ability to add our own. PS - please don't try to sell your plugins to me, folks. This stuff should be in the suite.

I know the Guest Signup Widget only is shown to guests, is it possible to add this option in the 'Visibility' section of all widgets/blocks, to show to only logged in users, only to guests, or show to both? Thank you.

Hi Guys, this is a small nit pick type thing, but it's real. When a temp IPS admin account is created, it uses the email address nobody@invisionpower.com. Given that it's in the admin group, the account receives email notifications for that group. Because that account doesn't exist, all sites with an active IPS temp admin account will get bounce notifications like the one below. I've had this account enabled for a couple weeks while IPS support was helping me (thanks a ton by the way!), and I've received many of these bounce emails. I go through all of them to keep my email server in good standing. Request: Can IPS create an email user with that address and just mak…

We can "help" Google Places to show more accurate results by giving Google some hints about what we want: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3MjU9E9buQ Would be nice to have on AdminCP fields to set this hints for better Google Places usage.

My users almost never add blog or blog entry images when they write articles. Without background images, the default theming for these is really ugly, to the point where I am considering removing this functionality from our site. It's very obvious looking at the official IPS blog, they put a lot of time into selecting blog entry photos from a common source of stock photos with a certain consistency in the theme. That's cool, but the current design of the blog system creates a big burden to select good images that look consistent. It's more suited to an official company blog than to a site with user-generated content where people sloppily post whatever comes to mind. …

I would like to have a widget or area, where it contains my moderators and their actions, through which they provide a control of team work managing content and my website - With that, as team will know if some moderators are investing time as moderators, and with related tasks assigned. - This main feature is to automatically collect our team work status and details. - Once a member is assigned to Moderators group, the account is immediately connected with that feature. - Maybe in that feature, you can create some criteria that automatically follow the moderator's actions... - Inclusive will be cool, if admin can create some tasks with assignment…

I'd like to see the ability to turn tags off when creating a blog. I used a closed tag system but don't have any tags defined so I get an error message when you click on the tags button in the create blog form. Thanks! RS

This is not something that is going to be relevant to 98% of clients, but for certain enterprise configurations this can be helpful. On load balanced setups, the database server can saturate a 1Gbps connection line on larger more active communities far before it's actually CPU constrained. Though I'm currently looking at getting this client set up with an upgraded 10Gbps network cable to accommodate for this as our NIC supports it, simply enabling network compression for TCP based database connections can significantly reduce the bandwidth overhead as long as you can afford expending a bit of extra CPU cycles for the compression/decompression. I looked into…

A very alarming situation. SendGrid has gone nose down from 10/10 to 0/10. Trust Pilot Review: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/sendgrid.com Would someone from IPS can elaborate why you guys are still providing SendGrid integration despite its poor service and ratings? This is end of 2020, we need some good email provider(s) API integration to the IPS software, like AWS SES API etc. Thanks

The color of links in posts and forum names on the main page is one CSS class, right? This is very bad. I want to highlight links in messages in color, but other links should remain black. Why are the classes the same?
