  1. Speaking logically, the first thing anyone would ask is: is the user's password unique to just that website, as in they have not ever used that password before, anywhere? Some forums also have 2 factor enabled, as well as sending emails the first time someone logs in with a browser (as a normal security precaution) If I were you. I'd get a screenshot from the user, ask them the questions above, and post someplace where you're likely to get a reply, such as the Invision Community here: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/ Hope that helped! Keith
  2. May I presume that this doesn't work in the IPS hosted cloud version? Honestly, I can tell you're a decent person, you like what you do, etc - if you're ok with constructive comments......most people will not even consider using your software until we see a much higher number of downloads and purchases. Would classify it as very high risk. And it would be helpful if promo videos were shorter 🙂 🙂 Don't get me wrong - we're dying to have chat on our site. But only if it's reliable, tried and true. Hoping you and others will be successful in current and future attempts to imitate fun
  3. Correct, everyone is spinning their wheels, it is not ready for prime time yet. We got published, but have same issues you mentioned. App is very stripped down, some things don't load, and others are very slow. Your community can be found listed in the "communities by invision" app AFTER you've submitted it from within cp panel and waited a few days to a week. For mobile issues contact the email they give you in the mobile app. They're still working on it. Best for most to just wait until its out of beta testing. Keith
  4. I have the same question and sent ticket to Invision Support today. I only want trusted user groups to be able to "Upload" to the "Downloads" section. They should still have the ability to upload to forums, and download from anywhere. Just dont want all users to have the ability to upload to that section only. Keith
  5. I'm hosting it with IPS in their cloud. I did inquire, and no there is no scanning. Hence, my feature request! 🙂 Thanks, Keith
  6. Link above is broken. Wonder if anything has changed since them. I'm going to try to embed live streams both YouTube and audio into forum now. 🙂 Keith
  7. Yes, I need it to be by group. Not going to let regular users upload god knows what and then when something happens I'm responsible. Invision support confirms there is no virus protection built in. Only trusted people should be able to upload all extensions. K
  8. Hello everyone, my first post, or feature request to the community! Requesting consideration of the following: Limit File Extensions Type Uploads by User Group Reasons Viruses can be packed in .exe, .zip, heck even word docs! How about limiting file types by group (adding that functionality to the group page) This way, only trusted groups could upload, for example a nice big .zip file. Because they're a trusted user that you've elevated to that group, their limitations would allow them to do that. Allowing any user to submit any type of file they want is completely unsafe
