Following this post, I bring it here to have your guys' opinion on the matter. If you're too lazy to click the link (which I totally get), I'll summarise here. In 4.5 we got the badges system, that shows a "management", "author" etc. badges on the upper-right corner of the post. However, this system only shows one badge, and only shows when the user is in a group that has the "highlighted replies" setting turned on. It got me thinking, why not have this system always up and show ALL the badges a member has. Plus, have "special" badges that you can give individually to members and have them collect and display them all, like FREAKING Pokemon gym badges! What d…

Hi, One feature that would improve a lot the moderation process would be the option to "quick edit" the topic title from inside the topic itself, i.e. by clicking and holding the title with the mouse. Thanks.

I just uploaded a new theme version in IPS marketplace and forgot to change the version number filed in IPS marketplace now i have to wait until its rejection by IP, getting a ridiculous email about it reminding me that the version number is not same and this whole process might now take more than 4 days because i forgot to change a version number this is a headache for both sides and takes so much time Please there should be a button to cancel the uploaded version that needs to be approved so we can fix mistakes.

Hi everybody, I am looking for the download of the old version 4.4.10 but cannot seem to find it. Can anybody tell me where it is located? I need it since I messed up some things and have a new computer with no backup of the original 4.4.10 download anymore... Thanks.

I do have a small observation or small critique on this; please don't take this the wrong way but it seems like this could be a big issue moving forward and I hope my voice will be heard here. I mean NO disrespect. --- ACP -> Community -> Forums -> Settings -> disable "Moderation events between posts" --- I feel this option should not be an 'On' or 'Off' option, but rather a "permission set" type of item or perhaps both one to turn it on and another to allow who can see these; allowing me to chose which groups can see it. I feel this particular item is a staff only sort of item and I wish there was a way to only allow my moderators or admin…

A case: User A posts status update User B comments on this status update User A makes another comment on the same status update User B receives a notification with the title "Reply to a comment on your status feed". Further, in the notification the link to the User's A profile can be found. The link is titled with "Go to your profile". In both cases is "your" false. It should be "Reply to User A's status feed" and the link should be "Go to User A's profile".

Why not apply condensed and expand mechanism for this tool form (by default condensed) ? If you need expand it, configure and Send post. But in case that you don't use it in each post, you have to scroll down to find the Send button. Specially for better mobile UI and UX reason.

I am using Clubs heavily, as IPS sell point, collaboration of team discussion. Please consider add ability to create clubs forums(by default it call Topics) with Members permission, I mean creating a forum where we can select which club members can see and participating in it, after that leader or moderators with permission can invite more club members or remove current members.

I always have problems with indentation in code inserted into a post. For us, the code box is a critical feature that is heavily used, since we have a programming forum. Would be nice if this worked correctly. It looks like there is a combination of space and tab characters, I'm not sure what is going on.

The idea would be to provide a way for our customers to download their respective invoices for organization purposes. Some of my clients have been asking me for this a way to be able to attach and or download: PDF all their respective transaction history. I didn't find anything in the marketplace that could be useful in this way.

I love Invision and their support is top-notch and I have been with them for years, but almost every time there is an issue, I am scolded and sometimes shamed for using plugins, applications, and themes. Almost always. There is rarely a reply of support that doesn't include a comment that is basically, "well, what did you expect since you are using plugins, applications, themes?" And often the support takes longer because the issue is immediately dismissed as a third-party issue. The irony is that in almost every case, it turns out it was not an issue with an application, plugin, or theme. I totally get that we have to troubleshoot and that it is practical to start with t…

I’m a Luddite...62 years old and retired from a career in Commercial Art; specifically graphic design. No industry went digital as fast and as completely as the graphic design field. We went from building mechanicals on drafting tables to using computers and Software overnight, starting in the mid 80’s. I developed a severe case of Upgrade PTSD. Back then every upgrade or update of OS, and design software, was wrought with issues. Files wouldn’t open, fonts wouldn’t work, it was always a cluster, and work flow was impacted. We learned to hate Upgrades, So, in addition to living in the woods of a Maine with extremely glitchy DSL “high speed” internet at a whopping 7 m…

Why can a user ignore messages from other users, but can't ignore their topics on the topic list pages? Such a function would be necessary.

I'm a bit surprised by how the VAT module has been created and how the rates are being displayed in the backend. Wouldn't it be easier to have a dropdown with all the countries and then simple number field on the right side to add the VAT % corresponding to the country selected? Currently, IPS has an enormous multiple country selection on the left side that fits in my 14 inches laptop, and that's only for one country selection. There is no way to know how many countries have been added with 20% VAT or 21% VAT. Europe has many countries with different VAT rates that need to be added. Once the rates have been added, there is not a place where I can see the countr…

Hey team! I really love this software. The experience is great for SO many things. The only thing I am having issues with is layout and UI. It seems redundant to have to always have a forum category, then a forum then a topic. I would love for my forums to be laid out in a grid based on FORUMS and not have to have top level categories. It just adds another block that I personally don't feel is needed. I like the way invision has their forums laid out on the home page: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/ However, when you look at mine, they do not look like this. I have a subforum section (https://geekslife.com/geeks) showing that pushes all the content down a…

A feature in the admin cp somewhere that lists all active widget blocks giving each a drop-down forums selector to check off which sub-forums the block would be visible on, would be very convenient. It would allow for completely custom block and page layouts per sub-forum, increasing the software's layout versatility substantially with a relatively small addition.

Hi there. I saw a two issues that could be fix with the next mid upgrade. 1> I realised that I cant fine anywhere option to do post editing by admin without a notice on the bottom" edited by....etc" visible to everyone_ Its just me or silent edit option is gone?? 2> I think its a bug with RSS stream - when my users trying to add RSS to they "news app" its showing them this message >> and making links with double hhtp. its not a problem to remove manually http: but for ordinary user its a error and they will simply abound the way to do it... Please let me know it sonly my side and Im doing something wrong or its a definitely a bug? Regards …

It would be great to have a new functionality that would allow us to disable the Grid View on certain forum categories. When the grid view is selected as default, every forum category will be in grid view, it just can't be disabled for specific forum categories. And that would be great. The grid view works great for many forums, but there are sometimes where certain forum categories look better, more accessible and user-friendly in normal view. Could this function be created? I found a plugin that enables the Grid View on certain categories when the forum is set in traditional mode. That functionality should also be built-in the backend of IPS because it would g…

I'm creating a site that will only use Grid View for browsing topics. The traditional Forum View will not be available. Because Grid View does not show forum descriptions, the user is left to figure out what kind of topics are contained in each forum listed in the sidebar. I suggest you add some place in the UX to show the forum descriptions in Grid View. Maybe the sidebar should contain an info button by each forum listed. Or, maybe just a hover popup over the forum link? Or, an info button displayed by each topic in the list where it says "in forum-name"? There has to be a good place to put forum descriptions in Grid View in such a way that it doesn't clu…

So this was more of a "it would have been nice" in the moment so I figured I'd see if anyone else liked it and if it could be implemented or not. So basically this idea is to allow for "Lock" or "Pin" or "Feature" actions to be performed when a moderator with permissions replies to a post. My use case was I was replying to a thread and intended to lock it as well. There are two ways to do this: Post then Lock Lock then post (if you have permission to reply to locked threads). It would remove having to do two actions if they were just a toggle like "Follow" or "Hide" (a feature that is available to mods now mind you) right above the sub…
