  1. I'm so glad to hear that and very thankful you guys have listened to the suggestion. Can't wait for the update, and thanks again!
  2. Except that is inadequate. Why are two products needed just to separate between a monthly/renewable subscription, and a permanent one? Unfortunately, that will make no sense to the average consumer who has to click on two different product links. It's quite an inconvenience and I think the preference of attaching the lifetime option directly into the main product page is much more appropriate. Also - I have software that relies on the product ID; if we used your idea, my software will now have to account for two product IDs that are tied into the exact same product. It's senseless. 100% in agreement. I'm not a fan of "lifetime" purchases for anything either - by definition, they're absurd. The thing is, I've been constantly asked to add them in by customers, and not having the ability to elegantly add them into the product page without some ghetto workaround such as creating a "10 year subscription" is quite upsetting. Furthermore, I believe extending your product page or terms of service to construe what exactly a "lifetime" subscription is should be sufficient. Absolutely, I'm sure there is a better word for it. Most people do go by the term "lifetime" though. Anyways, I truly don't think this is a suggestion that requires arguments on the logicality. IPS does not currently support a method of adding a permanent subscription to a renewable product - my suggestion is to add it. I currently don't see any downfalls of adding this.
  3. 1: No, it's not. Because some people would like to pay a month for something, to try it out. If said person likes what they bought, they might come back and buy lifetime. I think you misunderstood the point of the post completely. 2: Doesn't really matter what they believe. If people are buying your product (especially for the amount that IPS costs), I'd hope they'd have the respect to listen to suggestions and potentially add them (it's a good idea anyway!?). Other forum softwares have integrated such functionality, and IPS is lacking. This isn't to undermine the software, this is just to show that people will appreciate more customization with some of the systems IPS has.
  4. Unfortunately, it's actually already off. I've added some bypass rules though, and I hope that it fixes it. The Stripe issue was unrelated to CloudFlare but I managed to get it working. I'm hoping PayPal is actually a CF problem and will fix itself. Waiting to test it. Thank you though.
  5. Hello. I have a suggestion I think IPS is in need of. While adding a product, you're given the flexibility of choosing any subscription term (renewal) you'd like - well, all except one. Lifetime purchases should be added a feature to the product feature instead of limiting it to only subscription plans. It's a huge flaw in my opinion. @bfarber suggested to make a new product that copies the main product, with the exception that it is appended with '(Lifetime)' - this won't work for me for many reasons, and it also seems like a band-aid fix; it'll look very out of place and hacky. I'd like to do this properly by having the lifetime option added natively into the product system instead. Thank you.
  6. Seems like any ticket you submit just prompts them to say "turn off CloudFlare" even if the issue seems completely unrelated. But alright, I appreciate the help and I'll submit my suggestion now. Thanks.
  7. I have and received very poor support. I managed to look into it and find the issue myself. It's fixed now thankfully, although I'm still having an issue with PayPal but I'm pretty sure that this is on PayPal's side and not Invision's. No disrespect, but that is a terrible band-aid solution, and would look just as funky as my current method.. This will also cause problems with other personal software I use to gauge if the person has a lifetime subscription.. I don't believe adding a native "Lifetime" option would be too hard.. Can this please be looked into in future IPS updates..? I mean no offense, but in terms of Commerce, I've seen better functionality in MyBB plugins. EDIT: PayPal has finally responded to me and this is the message they've sent. I know this software has a ton of issues with CloudFlare or something. I'll try to see if that is causing it, as that was what "support" assumed - which was actually not the case at all for Stripe.
  8. Hello, I'm making this thread in hope that someone is knowledgeable enough on this software to help me out. IPS has two product types, regular products, and subscription packages. There's a huge issue though, at least with what I'm experiencing. I can setup prices quite nicely with products, but the problem is I can't add a "lifetime" option. With subscriptions, you can add a lifetime option, but the pricing functionality is completely scuffed. Why am I only able to setup a initial price and renewal price? On my current product, I have options for a day, week, month, and "100 years" since there is no lifetime option, which looks absolutely ridiculous and out of place. It's either, have a layout with different prices for different time periods, or have a subscription package which only allows you to pick a initial and renewal term. I'd really appreciate some insight on how to achieve what I'm wanting here. I'm actually quite stunned by the lack of proper commerce functionality on this software, let alone the amount of bugs I experience. I just renewed my license in order to upgrade my forum to the latest version, hoping that it'd fix the bugs I was experiencing (and for the most part - this version did not fix most of the bugs I was experiencing). Honestly, for the price point, I was expecting something better. Thanks.
  9. Yeah I'm currently on 4.5.2. Just don't have the funds to renew at the moment, so I can't update. It's a kind of large fee for me currently. I guess I'll just ride this out until I can update. Weird thing is this didn't always used to happen. I've had Stripe payments that auto-captured, I only recall this issue starting after my license expired, or at least around that time. I don't have anything custom, Commerce related at least. Not to my knowledge. Really unsure why this happens. Do these users need to be verified members? Because right now I have it so that people need to purchase a product to register, maybe IPS isn't capturing if the member isn't a validated member? Or maybe I'm spouting non-sense. lol
  10. Doesn't manual insinuate that I'd have to capture all payments myself, which would be my problem? Also, sorry, not sure what you mean by the 2nd part? A lot of spam-service in the System Logs, and also some OutOfBoundsExceptions. The Error Logs are empty. Nothing directly related to the Stripe payment gateway it seems.
  11. Thanks but.. as far as I know, its set up perfectly.. Here is one of the payment_intents POST logs.. Pretty sure 'capture_method' should be "automatic." That's the issue and I'm not sure why IPS is sending a 'manual' capture_method.
  12. What Stripe settings? Stripe has already told me this isn't a problem on their end.. I don't have any anti-fraud rules setup either. Also, I'm unable to create a support ticket because my license expired, and I currently can't renew it.
  13. I can't for the life of me figure out why I have to manually capture each stripe payment. I tried to resolve it with Stripe and they said this is an Invision issue. I can't find the setting that the capture method (manual/automatic), so I'm assuming that invision defaults to manual. The problem is that whenever I capture it (also the problem is that I have to manually capture it in the first place), the payment STILL doesn't get verified by Invision. This is a HUGE problem for me so I'd like to see it fixed. If there already is a fix, sorry for making this topic, but please kindly provide it! Digging through the PHP files is a mess and I didn't want to risk messing up the whole payment system. Thank you.
  14. Hello. I've been trying to find any sort of method to allow specific pricing based on region. $10 in the US is not equivalent to 10 rubles in Russia, and I wouldn't want to charge someone 762 rubles for the product. So my question, or idea, is to allow custom pricing based on the customer's region, so that the payment scale is equally appointed - e.g, In the US, I'd have a product for $10 USD monthly, in Russia, the product would be for $6 USD monthly. OFF TOPIC: Also, does anyone know a payment gateway (plugin) that supports Russian bank cards that are compatible with a US card/bank? It would also be great if there were better default payment methods.. OFF TOPIC 2: I couldn't post or view in "Product Guidance" despite me having purchased IPS last year, so sorry if this is in the wrong section.. Thanks.
