Updating a site to 4.0.8.1 from something... in the dark ages.... 4.0.5.1 I think. It's asking me run a query. I am on hosted cloud. Do we have access to PHPMyAdmin or any sort of panel server interface to do this? I've never noticed it before if we do. Thanks

Running version 4.0.8.1, and sometimes all the dropdownm menus and buttons from javascript do not respond whatsoever, but after a few refreshes it fixes itself. Nothing shows up in logs. And this behavior happens randomly. Could use some help.

Im testing new host. Upgrader says You do not have the cURL PHP extension loaded. While this is not required, it is recommended.How critical is that feature, what it does? If host doesnt have that, should i look another?

I'm about to do a fresh install and looking at ways to secure the ACP, after reading forum posts and tutorials I'm finding that in version 4.X the initdata.php has been re-imagined and I assume replaced with init.php? On line 52 of init.php, is this where I need to edit to change my ACP directory name? Thanks

Is there a way to see which posts are new in a thread, a small graphic per each new post not read or something would be really useful. It shows me which threads have new posts in them, and I can click on the circle to show me new posts in a thread, but the actual posts should be marked as well for longer threads where you are scrolling up and down. Examples attached. Tom

Hi all, I'm currently in the progress of updating from IPB 3.4 to IPS 4.0. We also attached a MediaWiki and our custom Portal Application to the Forums users table (directly). With this Major Update, I want to use the IPSConnect Interface in the future and I read the techdocs available... However, I have a problem with IPSConnect and I'm not sure if it's my fault or if something changed on IPSConnect too. According to this page there should be a cookie called ipsconnect_xxx this Cookie does not exist with IPS 4 anymore. Hello! I tried to put in FTP Data Storage and everything gets on another server, but the entire forum spoiled! I can not fix it constantly returns Internal Server Error, and the forum is security and it is important to be online. I do not know what happened, I got it again, but with the same SQL and works only with active Designer Mode, if you stop again returns internal error. I can not delete FTP from admin panel. Can you help me?

Hi there, In IPB3 I was able to rename an application's "Public" name so that it was called something different. I can't see how to do that in IPS4. I don't want it to say "Store", I want to call it something else. Does anyone know? Cheers

Updated from 3.4 to 4.0.8. Before the upgrade, the title of my homepage was "MySite.com", and now every time I access my site it shows "Forums - MySite.com". How can I remove the "Forums -" from the title? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, I've ran into some troubles. Anywhere that there is java-script of CSS on the webpage is failing to load properly. There used to be a way that you could toggle to see either the text with formatting or the code with a light switch toggle on 3.x. It's not in the editor for 4.x, anyway to get that back?

Hello, I've upgraded from 3.4.8 (in my localhost first because of a huge database) and trying to set everything up. When I converted the database it went smoothly, I choose "utf8mb4". When I log in to admin panel I see that the "background processes" are not done, and when I try to enable them manually, it starts at first but after a while I get this message: "Sorry, you do not have permission for that! 1S111/1 Data too long for column 'msg_post' at row 1" What could be the issue, where should I look to first?

In this thread there are a couple of XML templates available to download to do all of this but this seems to be problematic for some including myself. I am on 4.0.8, and after importing the template and creating a page I get a blank page, adding the database showed error. Is there a step-by-step guide to creating something similar from scratch for a Pages/Database newbie?

Attempting to either hide certain groups from advanced search or if that's not possible remove the option to search by group entirely - So far everything I've tried hasn't worked unfortunately, curious if anyone might know how to go about achieving this? Hoping to keep the admin user name(s) hidden, in addition some groups may not want their names publicly displayed. Thanks!
