Hello, I'm getting ready for my grand opening of my site with a big media blitz but need help with a couple of tweaks 1st. Here's my current site: http://www.nwachat.com/ 1. I'd like to have my logo & text up top on left in a long white strip across the top 2. How can I change my forum icons so that they stay full color all the time and not faded? 3. I'd also like to insert an image across the top and be able to change it when I want. 4. By doing these changes, do I risk my license and future customer support? Below is what I mocked up in Photoshop

I have 2 different licenses which show different "update available" in Dashboard... In the license updated at v4.0.5.1 shows that version 4.0.6 is available But in license updated at v4.0.4 shows that version 4.0.5 and 4.0.5.1 are available, but nothing about v4.0.6 Happens the same to others?

Hi, I downloaded IP board and IP content and activated it to try it. Now I've found a web developer that need to download, install and activate the license locally ( I guess he's using WAMP ) or online. But when he tries to do that, it's not possible because the license already is activated. I guess it's because I have done that on my computer locally. How do I deal with this? Best, Stig

I've given a particular group on my suite the full set of permissions on a certain database, including the ability to edit records and the relevant fields. Since I'm mainly the person setting up these records (they're tasks which I'm delegating to them and which feature fields indicating whether the task is open or closed) my intention is that they'll be editing the content, if needed, and certainly the fields. However, if they haven't created the record themselves, then they're unable to edit them or the field; seemingly the permissions to edit records and fields are limited to one's own. Is that right? If it is, what could I do to make it possible for them to edit all r…

Can someone tell me how to restore a deleted member with their posts? One of my super mods somehow deleted her entire account. She claims that she was in the UCP and changed her name twice and her account was deleted. Which doesn't make sense to me really, because if that were true that is a HGUE and critical bug for IPB4 and one(unless I am blind) would've been made into a huge big deal much like the removal of Friends list and post numbering. But she claims that she wasn't in ACP/Mod cp and I don't see any reference to her logins....but somehow her account was deleted and I need to figure a way to fix her.

We use Nexus to handle the subscriptions to our forums. Unfortunately a notification only goes out after the subscription has expired. We would like to have a notification go out about a week before it expires. Can that be done?

I seem to be having a sitemap issue with google. Apparently this part of my sitemap: sitemap.php?file=sitemap_content_downloads_Category What is stated by google its an Error and warning "This required tag is missing. Please add it and resubmit." & "When we tested a sample of the URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs were not accessible to Googlebot due to an HTTP status error. All accessible URLs will still be submitted." Also apparently I have 109 URLs submitted... but only 1 is indexed... not sure why. Anyone know?

Is it just me or is there no longer an option to an expiration time for packages? For example, Premium Memberships. In 3.4.x we could do the following: Premium Member 30 day, non-recurring. After 30 days, the member is placed back in original member group.Premium Member 30 day, recurring. Member stays in Premium Member group until they cancel membership.The only options I am seeing in IP4 (4.0.5.1) are these: Premium Member - Permanent. Hi I have had complaints from a number of members of duplicate topics being created (My guess is they are hitting submit a second time as posts take a while) and an eternal progress bar on topic replies. I have noticed this myself twice when using the quick reply box. Is anyone else seeing this? Any ideas? After reports of this I re-uploaded all 3.4.8 files, rebuilt text and templates, and rebuilt cache. The problem did not disappear. Cheers John

I've upgraded my test site to 4.0.0 RC4 and having issues with SSL breaking pages. I have https set for logins and nexus checkouts but when urls switch to https I only get text no css or images or anything. Also, if I access the site as https://site I get the same behaviour - unformatted text. Help!

In 3.4, while creating a post you could select a portion of text, click and drag it to a new location. Kind of a nice feature. Can the 4.0 editor be configured to do the same with both text as well as pictures? This is especially good with pictures, because with 4.0, the only way to move a picture in your post is to delete and re-insert it (as far as I know).

I have noticed a couple of times that when I create a post with an attachment, *sometimes* my next post begins with my previous post, as though it was a saved draft. I can't find a reproducible sequence, and didn't see anyone having the same problem. Anyone else experience something like that? Also, when I attempt to install an application add-on I get a white screen. I am not sure where to look to see the error. The response from support was to upgrade, but 4.0.5 didn't fare well in my testing. (I am leaving this text in here because oddly I am beginning a new topic and this was ALREADY in my editor). I had even just replied to another post just a minute ago.

Hello, I use Innodb for my Database cause i get a lot more performance with it. But with the new table core_search_index that IPS4 uses for the Search Engine, im in doubt whether i choose MyISAM or Innodb. A search only requires read statments, and i think MyISAM is stronger than Innodb in that department... But what happens if many people makes posts at the same time? Will the board writes all of them immediately to the index table and it could cause Table Locks? Or it will only write to the posts tables, and later will write to the index table using the background process's?

Hi all! I have just upgraded my ipb from 3.4 to 4.0.5 and... is all messed up. The skin not showing and it's almost impossible to navigate. Analyzing with firefox i found out that all the css and js files have wrong src, doubling the part of the index of the forum. for example http://myforum/http://myforum/eejujiu.css Sadly i'm totally lost where to go to edit and solve this problem, from the admincp it doesnt show correctly all the general configurations and from the db can't find any field related. All the other links seems to work correctly.. if someone can help me, thank you very much in advance ^^

I've just upgraded a copy of our forum from 3.4.7 to 4.0.5 by doing the following Cloning DB and files to a new install (on a separate URL)Updating the DB and URL lines in the conf_global.php fileLogging into the clone and changing the forum URL and upload directoryCopying the files in the 4.0.5 zip over the top of the new forum,Going to /admin/upgrade and following all the promptsIt appears to run this all fine, no issues reported. Hi, I am using IPB 4, and I am making a request to the steam API to retrieve stats for a game. $playerData = \IPS\Http\Url::external("http://api.steampowered.com/ISteamUserStats/GetUserStatsForGame/v0002/?appid=221380&key=".$loginHandler->settings['st_api_key']."&steamid=".$this->member->st_id."&format=json")->request()->get()->decodeJson(); The only problem is that depending on the User it won't retrieve a valid Json file if there isn't any game data. How can I have this code catch an exception or check if it's a valid json file before decoding?
