Is it possible to allow the IPS 4 cookie to be read across the site? Currently it's only set to be read in the forum directory but I need it to be read in other folders for some custom scripts. By default the path of the cookies are set to "/forums/", can I change this to make them site wide? Best, Paul

I've created a calendar for admins only, the permissions is for admins only. But the events are not showing in the "Upcoming Events" widget (for admins). Does anyone know why? ------------------------ I did solve it! The Event calendar isn't showing "todays" events.

This has probably been mentioned before but if you load the type=core_members list on 4.0.8.1 you get a list of all member groups without respecting user permission. So even guests can view all groups. How can this be configured to respect user permission to view groups?

Hello. i hope I make myself clear on what I'm looking for. I'm wondering if there is a way to create a standard input form for clients to post to? For a select "client" group (not all our groups), I would like these clients, when they reply in their personal "journal", to have a standard input form come up automatically for them. We have communication issues with clients not providing us the details we need for our support program, so this form would provide them with the reminders for the information we require on a daily basis. If this cannot be done as is, I would like to find out if it's a feature that could be contracted for me?

Hello all, Just moved from IPB 3.x to 4.x and everything works fine except that the theme seems to sort of dissapear after browsing the forums for a bit. I tried clearing caches, changing cache between file and sql, but nothing makes a difference, the forums look ok and when you then browse through a few topics (and also in admin) the whole GUI is gone and it looks like just text without any gfx. Could someone pls tell me what this is? forums.gameconnect.net thank you

When you create a page template, you will want to be sure that you specify where the content should show within the page template. The template tag help window will show you the proper tag to use. We have just been notified that the thumbnails and cover image of a private album are still visible to the public. Clearly, 'private' or 'invite only' albums should not feature in any way, shape or form to the public. Anyone else come across this or is there a way to fix it. Our community is furious about it.

Okay firstly we run on a hosted server with not a lot of resource, no guaranteed CPU and 1.5Gb RAM. With IPS 3.4.7 we ran fine with no CPU overhead at all. Since uplifting to IPS4 we're running in burst mode most of the time and our host is recommending we move to a higher spec hosting plan which we can't afford and which will likely close us down. So far to reduce loads we've: Turned block refreshes from 5 to 7 minutesTurned off all blocks we can manage withoutTurned on Guest page caching 30 secondsEnsured we're using GZIP on the serverMod_defelate is being utilisedMod_expires is onBought a low resource using themeDisabled the Calendar module as we don't need it.Tried Me…

I am going to upgrade to 4.0, and I am a tad confused at the page containing the instructions, the instructions address new installations, and upgrade via ACP but that ACP upgrade option is only valid after 4.0 is already installed. So my big question of the day, do we treat the upgrade process like a new install? Do I just simply follow the instructions for new install as outlined below? Do I simply upload the 4.0 files to our home directory where our 3.4 exists, and let the 4.0 files overwrite and update? Thanks for any clarification on this folks! I'm having success with embedding most images into posts, but there are some images I'd like to embed that don't end with .png,.jpg and has the URL format like this: https://www.tradingview.com/x/ZOoGrmQ8/ As opposed to http://www.something.com/image.jpg type URLs. How can I modify IPB to allow these types of images that don't have a file and extension name? I've been able to embed these types of images in NodeBB. Thanks.

Is there any way to remove the website name from the title tages, and the category name also. I would prefer to have title tags made up of only the topic title. I am guessing we would need to edit the function that builds the title. Where would this be located?
