Hello, so.. how do i actually install a ckeditor plugin? Adding it via ACP does not work. Recached, cleared browser cache.. nothing. i tried uploading it manually to the server and i edited config.js and still nothing.. By the way, my toolbar editor section looks like this (is it a bug?) :

I distribute tickets for an organization, and many of those people are not connected to the forum and site, only loosely so. Since we are no longer shipping physical tickets, but emailing PDFs, I am toying with the idea of doing this inside IPB instead of email to drive people to the site. For people that have accounts PM them. For people that don't have accounts create them manually, PM them. All tickets, approximately 2000 (500mb of PDFs) would be waiting in their PM on profile. Is there a "hell no" don't do that reason waiting in the wind here I should consider? I would be using 4.0.8.1+ Thanks JM

I'm testing several login handlers, like Google+ and Facebook, and when I create an account with one of these services, there's no option in the account to set a password, thus it's not possible to disassociate all the services, you obviously have to have 1 at least otherwise you would lose access to the account. I went to the ACP and manually set a password for the account, only then it's possible to edit the password from the front-end as the user. Is this a bug? If not I really think this needs to be looked at.

Hi guys, First off let me start by saying i am not sure if this is the correct area to post this, if it isn't please move it. I am asking on behalf of a friend who has made a php form, he is trying to post the results of the form once filled out, into a specific forum as a post. He can't seem to find any documentation relating to ips 4. Found something that appeared helpful Topic Posting Library (classPost.php) but apparently that is for ipb 3.x. Wondering if anyone knows where there is some documentation for IPS 4 relating to making a form output a post to a specific forum, or if there isn't documentation whether someone can help?!

Has anyone had an issue upgrading from 3.4.7 to 4.0.0 or 4.0.1 and after uploading all the files I run http://website.com/admin/install and get a message Installer Locked? To upgrade all I did was delete everything under the root of the site except public uploads conf_global.php favicon.ico Then I uploaded everything included in the 4.0.0 also tried 4.0.1 package I cleared all cookies and cache in Firefox browser, tried another browser (safari) and still same thing. Any help is very appreciated.

I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on the workings of the posting limit for specific groups. I have been trying to understand how this works and I simply cannot do it. I purchased IPB as the whole site runs on the fact that user's posts are limited. However, the suite does not set my limitations to what I manually change it to. For example, I have a user in a group that is limited to one post a day, and he has just posted twice. I have a user who is in a group that can post 10 times a day, and he has just posted 13 times but no longer can. Please can anybody help me get better control of this?

I have moved from 3.4.8 to IPS 4.08 and my IP Content has substantial data in old version. All moved to new one partially OK, but I am unable to edit any old fields in all database. And I am unable to add new fields in new/old database. Anyone faced similar issue....? Support desk has no reply for me since 48 hours, I am hoping to hear something from users now. Please help. I haven't been able to find a setting anyway to either remove, or limit by group, the "Support" tab in the navigation UI. I know I can remove it from the HTML code, but I'd hate to do that, since it's not really what I am looking for. Anyone know how to accomplish this?

Currently I have a 3.4 IPB installation. There are a lot of hooks, a lot of skins. Most are just left over and things we don't use anymore. I would like to start as fresh as possible with 4.0. (especially seeing how different the file structure is in 4.0) Is it possible to install a fresh installation of 4.0, and import my 3.4 database (just the data like forums, members, etc....not skins,hooks,etc.)? Or is it recommended to just upgrade right from 3.4 by uploading the new files and going through the upgrader? (It should be noted that we plan on doing this in dev first before making it live to everyone.)

After enabling IP.Content it adds an extra "forum" word into forums in the url...instead of /forum/topic its becoming /forums/forum/topic. Anyone know how to fix?

In the previous version to this one (3.4.6), when you uploaded a picture to the gallery did it not either have an link you could share in a topic or when you posted that topic, gave you the option to choose gallery photos to display? The way it is currently, you would have to upload it into a topic as well as upload it in the gallery, you are then storing two versions of the same picture on your server. Am I missing something?
