Okay firstly we run on a hosted server with not a lot of resource, no guaranteed CPU and 1.5Gb RAM. With IPS 3.4.7 we ran fine with no CPU overhead at all. Since uplifting to IPS4 we're running in burst mode most of the time and our host is recommending we move to a higher spec hosting plan which we can't afford and which will likely close us down. So far to reduce loads we've: Turned block refreshes from 5 to 7 minutesTurned off all blocks we can manage withoutTurned on Guest page caching 30 secondsEnsured we're using GZIP on the serverMod_defelate is being utilisedMod_expires is onBought a low resource using themeDisabled the Calendar module as we don't need it.Tried Me…

I am going to upgrade to 4.0, and I am a tad confused at the page containing the instructions, the instructions address new installations, and upgrade via ACP but that ACP upgrade option is only valid after 4.0 is already installed. So my big question of the day, do we treat the upgrade process like a new install? Do I just simply follow the instructions for new install as outlined below? Do I simply upload the 4.0 files to our home directory where our 3.4 exists, and let the 4.0 files overwrite and update? Thanks for any clarification on this folks! I'm having success with embedding most images into posts, but there are some images I'd like to embed that don't end with .png,.jpg and has the URL format like this: https://www.tradingview.com/x/ZOoGrmQ8/ As opposed to http://www.something.com/image.jpg type URLs. How can I modify IPB to allow these types of images that don't have a file and extension name? I've been able to embed these types of images in NodeBB. Thanks.

Is there any way to remove the website name from the title tages, and the category name also. I would prefer to have title tags made up of only the topic title. I am guessing we would need to edit the function that builds the title. Where would this be located?

is it possible to enable signatures in certain groups only? My site will be made up of business owners and general members so I was hoping to only allow biz members to have signatures. I cannot see this anywhere if it is already possible so perhaps I need to pay somebody to help with this if possible to do thnx ooooh I think I just found out how. It's in the member groups to allow/dont allow signatures etc sorry about this but anyway it might help somebody else

Hello, today i needed RSS feed from my forum. I checked it and i saw that it returns a 404 not found error. For example: http://pctroubleshooting.ro/forum/124-hardware.xml On IPB 3.x.x RSS works fine. I didn't changed anything. Can anyone tell me why now, on IPB 4.x.x, it returns 404? Thank you!

When someone comes to my board and isn't registered (as what I'm calling a "member") they see this text next to the member area and it's VERY misleading. If I was NOT a member and saw this I'd think: "There's nothing here, why become a member..." Am I missing something here? Alternative question: How do I change that message. When a moderator delete posts at my forum, the post going be lost. Is it not possible for when admins and/or moderators delete posts it comes in a "trashcan forum"? For example: A page of forum section what only teammembers can see en where al deleted posts and topics are to find. Is this possible?

When we try to set a recurring event every 6 weeks it displays as weekly. Below are the settings. Don't know why the summary dates are different. We can set an event every 28 days and it displays every 28 days. Has anyone any ideas please. Thanks.
