Been trying to update my IPS software from 10.10 to 10.11, but it fails at this step Yes I uploaded the files into the root folder already, I've been upgrading fine until then. Any ideas guys? Any help is much appreciated I have quite a few plugins, could this be related to that?

I have not yet upgraded to v4, and have a question I currently have a rotating banner ad system I wrote in my header. it randomly selects three of my merchants from my own database tables and displays their image and link. I added this to the code and it has worked great. In moving to v4 I know would rather using existing features instead of coding this to work with the new systems. Is there a system native to v4 that can do this without having to muck with coding? the site is www.kiltsrock.com thanks! KT

Can someone else who has "Rewrite URLs" enabled and IPS is installed in a subdirectory just double-check that you can still access System -> Search Engine Optimization after upgrading to 4.0.12.1? I now get an EX0 error (no entry in error log). I can reproduce on a clean install. As soon as I enable Rewrite Urls (and install the htaccess) that page starts to error. The settings is still working, my URLs are working ok, but the ACP page is now inaccessible.

Members are unable to login with email address. When the proper email address is used in lieu of display name log in, and when the proper password is entered, and the log in attempt is made, an error message of : (The password you entered is incorrect. Please try again (make sure your caps lock is off). I have tried the email login method with two of my test profiles and my own profile and I am having the same issues as our members. The log in by display name method works fine using the same password. any help is greatly appreciated

How do I make the articles page display a list of articles instead of having to drill down though the menu? With a standard install you view them home page then click records >> article I just want the articles displayed by default.

Hi guys, I am using this: {expression="$member->pp_reputation_points/$member->member_posts"} to calculate the average "likes" per post, but it shows an exact number, such as for example 12,9984725374. Is there any way to round this number to a more readable format?

Support is taking way too long, and I've had my hopes up to upgrade for the past week, and finally got a chance to (long weekend for Canadians), but I ended up having to make my board go down for way too long. Hello. My community was on 4.0.11 and I think when I've updated to 4.0.12, my /uploads folder was emptied : avatars, cover pictures, attached files, emoticons, etc... Since this morning, I sending a backup folder of "/uploads" on the ftp... What's happened? It will happen again? Thanks.

I am running 4.0.11 and have two questions. First, when I try to embed a video link, it doesn't show up. Not sure that I using the right tools though. Guys we've got the situation where we want to move all the posts from a couple of forums (which we will be closing) into another (current parent) forum. With the old IP.Board I'm sure I remember having a 'move' post facility in the ACP. Now all I can see are: So what is the right methodology? If I use 'Empty' does it prompt you with the option to move the posts into another forum? Hopefully some kind soul can advise ,you can appreciate me being cautious!

So a couple of my members are getting Fatal Error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted tried to allocate 89963 bytes in /home/maulingi/plic_html/init/php and I'm getting this error (but only on some threads) Please can you give me any advice on how to fix? Hi, I just installed IPS 4 but when I try to install 3rd party apps, namedly Collaborations and Chatbox, they give me this error. I'm using an old upgraded install and for some strange reason, I do not have the ability to use the front-end widget manager. From what I can see in the database, my account has super mod & admin privileges so I'm a little puzzled as to why I don't see this feature. Is there a switch somewhere to enable this? Thanks
