So, I enabled friendly_urls again to reproduce the error for ips support, though, they stopped replying to my support ticket. I need a way to disable this asap as it's causing my acp access to be blocked. http://i.imgur.com/zkikH97.png

I just installed ipBoard 4.1 Beta 8 on my forum. One of the first things I did was change the default editor line break to be a single space instead of a paragraph. I noticed now that when a user hits reply to a topic the height of the editor is one line as opposed to multiple lines. Is there any way to adjust/tweak this? Did I miss a setting?

Hello, I have a few questions about upgrading from V3 to V4 and migration from cloud to self hosted: 1 - Currently my board is running version 3.4.8 on cloud service. Do you recommend upgrading to IPS4 on the cloud and then migrate to self-hosted, or first migrate using version 3.4.8 and then upgrading to IPS4? 2- I understand that the upgrade to IPS4 resets my board customization (themes and stuff). What happens to pluggins? My board accepts login using Facebook, Tweeter, Microsoft Live.... will it work? What will happen to users that use those tools to login? 3- What about other plugins like sidebars, extra blocks, reputation system, etc. Will it be …

Sorry another one. I am using <if> to hide custom fields in my template if the fields are left empty which works fine {{if count( $record->customFieldDisplayByKey('county','display') )}} {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('county', 'display')|raw} {{endif}} But if I add list items <li> or breaks <br />they are visible {{if count( $record->customFieldDisplayByKey('county','display') )}} <li> {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('county', 'display')|raw} </li> {{endif}} Is there away to hide not just the content of the field but formatting as well?

Hello, Here, the problem encountered on my site is that of BBCode Dailymotion. I can not set it up properly! There are of two add-ons available on the website of CKEditor, but they do not satisfy me at all. Some errors when installed! That's why I thought it was better to have a custom button, in other words to have a good BBCode Dailymotion. Do any of you can help me implement this code in the admin panel of my editor? Just posted this as a Bug but wanted to share as well in-case anyone else has experience with this. On our forum we have sub-forums that are only visible to specific user groups and protected by a Password. However, we just discovered that regular users who do not have rights to the forum are able to see the names of topics created in the forum when they click on a users profile. Specifically this shows under currently in a users profile. This has proven to be a security vulnerability for our forum since it means users can see topic names from a protected forum. i use the default "Post Feed" on my forum sidebar and sometimes the topic texts are crossing the borders like this i thought there might be something wrong with my skin but turns out it only happens when there is an image link posted in the topic :/ there is no problem if i put the link inside a quote or code or link it with a text but when its posted directly the "post feed" side bar is fked up - any ways is there any different recent posts for sidebar? the default one is not really good

Hi! When I insert the field into your template like so: {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('education_speaker')|raw} The site field value is substituted between the quotes signs. Here it is: "<a>Speaker</a>" From these quotes code on the page is not compiled. How fixed it?

Hi, My colleague and I are working on a website and our goal is to make the site and the forum share the users and login by using the forum database as the user database. We want our users to be able to login to the website using a login form. The login form then communicates with the forum and logs the user in to the forum and thus also the website. We have been studying the documentation and believe the key is to communicate with IPS Connect. After countless bad attempts at this we have been able to somewhat connect and we get a status-report SUCCESS and some user info (user name, email, id). Where do we go from here though? I am facing some strange issue when I am using google responsive advert, everywhere ads work fine as expected but while creating a new topic it loads tall banner in place of horizontal leader board. Anyone else experiencing same....? Support asked me to use stock blue color theme and it's showing same problem in that as well.

Hi, I'm looking for a way to make it so URLs do not show the actual topic title only the topic id, people keep looking through the id's of the topics and finding topic names that we don't want them to see. Is there any way to easily change this? or even a plugin? Thanks

Hello, is there a way to truncate or limit to a certain amount of words or characters (a short intro) of posts on the forum? I am having them imported onto another site, but the site will pull the entire entry, I don't have any options there to truncate. Any ideas? I think the old IPBOARD 3 had some settings to control the RSS export but I can't find anything in IPBOARD 4.

I am running a test upgrade on my board and so far everything is looking good but I do not undertsand the ACP here... What are all these processes? Are they upgrade routines that continue to run on a new upgrade until they are complete? Does the new board fully function during this time? They do not seem to be progressing, with many still at 0% a few days later. I'm showing a script trying to run on the front page of my forum from domain anera.eu. I haven't placed any scripts from this page and have no ad scripts enabled. i've checked other areas such as subforums, member list, cp, etc and the script is not present. please help me to figure out how it is there and how to get rid of it? Is there an option to remove the edit logs so that "last edited by" does not show up? I remember in my old vbull forum there was a mod for this option, which even allowed for hiding admin edits.

Hello! Currently I'm trying to get the theme over ride function to work. I go to the forums then click on the topic "edit" then scroll down and click on the theme I want it to over ride. Click save! then go check and see if this works! But it dose not! Any ideas why this would not work? or what can I do to make this Theme Override work correctly?
