Hello, I have some flat images for my forum icons and I would like for them to show up in full color when viewing them as a guest. Right now it seems all icons when I am logged out are marked as read. In ipb3.x guests always saw the full color. http://www.plusevgaming.com/forums/ Any help with this is greatly appreciated!

How do I make the view content available to guests? Can anyone explain how I can do this? For me, I don't think guests should be restricted from seeing content - especially in the easiest formats possible because they encourage activity. Also, it's weird. The activity stream is available but this isn't? I don't get that.

How would I link to logout in IPB 4? I see the URL now has csrfKey... logout/?csrfKey=84cdb6ae2e156b212c1ae94cf921e555 Without this... "The CSRF protection key did not match." How do I get that csrf variable? I don't see it in IPS\Member Object. I just want to make a simple link that can be placed outside of IPB to log members out.

As these days it's good to have SSL encryption, I tried to set IPB4 to https-only. However, I ran into some issues... 1. Some stuff doesn't work anymore. Liking posts doesn't work, the popup when hovering over a profile pic isn't showing, etc. 2. IPB4 seems to load some internal ressources (pictures, etc.) from http://. That seems to be fixed somewhere. Has anyone solved these issues already? Can IPB4 fully run with SSL or does only the login dialogue load properly?

I used the color editor in v4 to change my forums color. After making it default my categories are all messed up. Not the standard forum setup. When I log off it goes back to normal. The new color theme goes to ibp default color when logged out. Any ideas whats going on?

So, I'm fairly new to IPB 4 and I've been slowly building my forum up with the help of my members to get exactly what they want and now I want to add a few novelty features, because we are primarily a writing forum. I've been reading up on the Doing-Away with BBCode, which really makes me sad because the concept was stupid-simple. Now there's this CKEditor and I feel not only totally lost, but somewhat baffled by the technicalities that it requires, so I'm asking for some guidance, explanations, and help here. I've been trying to go through the documentation, but the hitch that comes up is when it says to make an HTML page to call the script... but I'm not sure what…

I was just wondering if it mught be possible to stop somebody following you. I know you can check to stop "everyone" following you but can it be done with just one member? I guess its a bit of a strange question really becasue if you block a person on twitter or facebook they cannot see any of your posts. Whereas on a forum they can still see all of your posts. hmm any thought on the matter would be helpful thanks

In IPB 4.0.13.1 -- where is the setting for this and can I have the notification email go to more than one person (i.e. a group or multiple emails) so my admin team can all be notified when a new user registers and not just me getting the notification? Thanks in advance. Jason

Hi there. I have a game database. And I wanted players to use their game credentials to login to Forums. So, I setup an External Database in the Login Handlers. This is what happens.. 1. Player register on game website. 2. They login to Forums using their game info. 3. In the Forums, tho, creates 2 of the same identical ...like the image below: How do I fix this?

I'm started to normalise our database into several more appropriate ones now we're on 4.x; we've run for too many years on one database only and certainly one size does not fit all. The problem I've got is that the view counts of existing published articles are being reset when manually rewriting them in a new database. Is there a simple way of manually altering the view count of a record? I understand that it is $num_view however I can't immediately see any facility to alter this value. The only other option would be to add a new field to the database for "additional views" and manually adding this to everywhere that uses $num_views; very clumsy and backwards.

I've looked everywhere and i can't seem to find the settings for IP Chat anymore. I need to edit the rules it displays when people enter the chat, and I also want to check the rest of the settings. Can someone tell me where it is? I feel like a lot of settings are simply missing in 4.0.

I've been searching for the Cache Management in IPB 4 and haven't come across anything. I found a thread saying that they were doing away with the Rebuilding of Post Counts for 4, so now the question is :: how do I rebuild the forum posts to account for recently changed categories and forums that don't allow posts to count toward the total? Oo. Nevermind, just found the Recount button when trying to manually change a member's post count. When you click it, it asks to Recount All. Ha.

I have recently upgraded my community to IPB4.x and I can't seem to figure out how to edit the main navigation. I have read documenation such as https://community.invisionpower.com/4docs/administration/pages/the-menu-manager-in-pages-r164/ but it seems that IPB4.x is lacking the functionalities that IPB3.x had with being able to move around the positions of custom navigation items and the IPS Apps. Is this true? This is how the main menu looks for me I would like to move Forums to be in between Home and Deals however it seems impossible. When I disable the Forums application from showing up in the navigation, and making the URL link…

I am trying to set Maximum cover photo size for a group. But no matter what I set I am getting an error "please select a value that is no less than 0." It doesn't matter what value i enter or of i select unlimited.
