Hi @Rikki, I'm sorry to bother you… But I find your data-ipshover javascript functionality very exciting! It looks like it only works with internal URLs. I'm desperately looking to make it work with external URLs. Do you have any idea on how we could do that? Thank you so much

is there a way to copy a thread or a post to another location? we would like to be able to copy the original post (usually in English) to a language specific forum; where we can translate the original post and comments, any ideas how to do this (other than manual DB table copy)? TIA Chris

Adding code snippet with all the dependencies will crash the toolbar. The only thing to get it work again is to restore the Toolbar. Why is so difficult for the developers to fix the code colorisation with additional setup - no colorisation. As it is now the code tool build in is not very useful.

I plan on upgrading my old 3.4 boards to the latest IPB 4 version. Of course, before doing that on a live install, I tested it on a test installation. So I made a 1:1 copy of my site (only difference: subdomain and license key has -TESTINSTALL added) and ran the upgrade. The upgrade went without any issues - but IPB 4 seems to have issues. It has a LOT of slowdowns and often even times out. Hey guys ran into a bit of an issue the another night, I've tried to install a new theme file which is around 1.3mb, it wouldn't allow me to upload via upload section of themes. Giving me the error of: Something went wrong. Check the values provided on the marked tabs and try again. The file must be smaller than 1MB. Things I've tried (adjusted upload via server): .htaccess file, php5.ini & php.ini files, disabling cloudflare and cpanel php config (https://ban-hammer.net/forums/info.php) Is this an IPS restriction? Hey, im struggling now since 5 days with an 500 issue on my dev site. I tried to recover and fix all what is actually possible, but i didn't made it yet. May you have a suggestion for me. What I did was actually pressing by accident on a developed application and defined the module as default. Since this my whole site is directly throwing a 500 error. I also investigated changing it on the database to remove it as default module, but also this didn't work. The application is not the reason, since i build and downloaded it right before and installed it on my production system, where I'm not facing that issue. Does anyone has an idea where i wouldn…

So new to the IPS suite & I would like to make sure I keep the software up to date as much as possible. I already see there has been 1 software update released, and another 4.1 is coming very soon. So where/how do I download or install the updates for my website? Is there an easy way within the dashboard or do I need to download the updates through the directory inside of my cpanel?

In the old 3.X software we were able to manually create RSS feeds, including top-level forum RSS feeds. The new setup makes RSS feeds for each forum room as well as categories, but the category feed is wonky and shows posts from 2011 instead of the most recent. So I'm wondering if anyone knows how to possible fix the category RSS feed and even better yet, can we add a top-level forum RSS feed?

Hi, i'm a new user of the IPB Suite and currently only have the Forum. I have seen alot of fancy Hooks and Addons around the marketplace that I would find useful for my board, but after I upload the plugin as an XML file and it gets listed under "Plugins" it says it is Enabled. But I am not able to see the hooks or manage them anywhere on my site? Am I missing something? Plugins I cant get to work are : Latest Registered Members or New Members Today.I also hear alot of talk about widgets and blocks, where do I find this?

Hi guys I just got a report of my 3.4.8 board that doing links with google-maps isn't always working For example: https://www.google.at/maps/place/50°53'06.6"N+7°03'33.2"E/@50.8851662,7.0592222,15z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0 => this URL get's cut off after https://www.google.at/maps/place/50° when doing a link) Is there a possibility to fix this? (I remember something similar with youtube embeds as they changed something, we had to adapt the wildcards somewhere in BBcode - is there something like this for links and there is an escape happening where it shouldn't ? thanks in advance TOM

I know IP Content had the ability to bridge/link comments made on an article to a topic (and even the ability to automatically create a topic for an article), does IP Pages still have this option? if so, where can I turn it on??

So in the AdminCP>System<Security There are a few things to enable or address. Should I enable the two suggested settings now, even though I'm not done editing the website? I contacted my hosting company about the PHP elements suggested and they responded with this: Disable Dangerous PHP Functions Unfortunately I have no way to disable specific php functions, there is however mod_security rules in place to help protect against vulnerabilities that may happen for some of all of those cases. So I'm a bit rusty on HTML/CSS & new to this platform, so I apologize that this is going to seem extremely newbish of me But when I'm uploading images into my directory to then use in custom CSS, what folder do I want to upload them to inside of the IPS directory? And when I want to add custom CSS, for things such as adding an image to the Main body, which file should I edit/add this custom CSS to, or should I just create a new one for the custom things I'd like to customize? So basically my featured topic section should have a grid of images such as this: But its currently looking like this: It's also creating the same effect when I'm editing a post: Any idea whats causing this to happen or how i can fix it? Hello, I've sent in a support ticket outlining this in detail. However, it doesn't seem like the support staff really read my email so I'm posting it here. Hopefully I can get help faster here. I have an elearning course and use amember to protect it. They offer a plugin to integrate invision 3.0 with amember for SSO. I had asked if that would work with the cloud version and saw in the forums that you can make SSO work with cloud. So I bought a cloud package and spent about a day customizing it. Hello, I am using IPB 4x and Pages.. I am trying to create a custom form that will allow people to apply to join my gaming clan. I have created a recruitment database with the following fields. Battlelog NameAgeWhy do you want to joinDo you have Teamspeak?How would i compose a custom form that includes these various database fields and submits into the database.. also is it possible to setup any kind of workflow when the submission is approved, it adds the user to various groups?
