Hi! Wondering if anyone else had similar problem. I moved from vB4 to IPB. Done everything pretty well, going through all the tips, trick and manual. First I moved to IPB 3.x and performed conversions. Everything was well, pages worked as should, no issues. After going with upgrade to IPB 4.x pages got messed up. I still don't quite get how the Pages works under the hood and thus don't have a clue what should I be looking to try to fix this. Hi! I purchased and installed Download app on my forum, trying to setup & test it. I added a few categories, then deleted them, then added one category again. When I'm trying to upload file here <forum>/files/ I select "submit file", then select category in popup dialog, "Continue" and then I get infinite loop on this URL: <forum>/files/submit/?_new=1 I select category, then Continue, then again the same. What is it and how it can be fixed? Thanks!

Ok, here is one of my first actual questions on howto. I normally nut these out myself, but this one has me stumped. When making a se submissions using the Pages addon, there is an option to post to a forum, however there is no option to take someone to that forum after the post is made. What I am doing is using the pages for the form, keeping the page submissions not viewable, instead having them viewable in the forum, where there are better viewing rules. Once someone submits a form though. What I would like is the ability to redirect them to the forum post of the form. To be honest I am surprised that this is not already an option. The main reason…

I have a custom profile field with option do not allow member to see and edit (I want only administrators can view and modify this custom field). How can I display this custom field under members avatar, next to content the user submits? I completed the field "Display format" with <strong>{title}:</strong> {content}, but if I disable the option "Allow member to see and edit?, the field does not appear. What should I do?

I thought I'd post here as support takes a week at best these days... I just moved servers, I ran the get ready for 4.0 test and all ok. Then moved everything over. The issue is the site kinda loads, but JavaScript isn't working, no JS menus etc and when you view a record in pages I get a something went wrong error. Any pointers appreciated.

Hello, I'm a bit new here bought the software not long ago to have a community for my application. I want my users to be able to login to my application through using their IPS usernames and passwords. I also would like to add these users to the online list and I'm not exactly sure exactly what approach to use since there's a couple of different ones. I'd like to use SSL for my whole IPB (4.1) installation. First I enabled the 'https for admin logins' option in the admin panel, but this resulted in a redirect loop. After disabling that option, I tried to replace http with https in 'base_url' in conf_global.php, but this also gave me a redirect loop. Is there something else that needs to be changed? Thanks!

I was getting tired of a slow shared server and moved to a VPS. Now I have at least two issues. Email does not send, none. Search returns an error. See below. I asked the host to look at this, they said ask the vendor, there's nothing wrong with the serer. I fear asking IPS because I'm on 4.0.13.1 and they'll say many errors have been fixed with the newest version and I need to upgrade before getting help. Both email and search worked before the move. I suspect this is something simple I just don't understand. Any help on this is appreciated.

I want to test all the features and html elements of the current theme in order to style them properly before making my forum live. But I can't see all the elements that need styling without pages and pages of topics and messages. For example, I want to see how different member ranks look, how hot topics look, how pagination looks, how banned users look, etc. Is there a way to fill up the forum with sample content, and then an easy way to delete all that content before I go live? Hi, I upgraded my Forum 3.4.8 to 4.1.3.2. In this update it was necessary make a conversion of MySQL to UTF-8, after that all my topics had a problem with accents. My doubt is, there's any way to fix this automatically or it will be necessary fix this manually ? Here is the example Regards

Hi all! Newbie el grande, so have patience plz Just locked myself out from the forum admin backend by uploading a .xml theme for 4.x: Fatal error: Call to undefined method IPS\Theme\class_core_admin_global::js_general() in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/system/Theme/Theme.php(627) : eval()'d code on line 1097 The only thing I did was to make it default. I am still having major issues with the Pages application. Most often the selectors to tailor content just don't work. I thought some of this was going to be part of the upgrades scheduled for September, but the selectors still work very infrequently. In this case, the Calendar block. I cannot select a calendar to draw the feed from. I have the community and one additional calendar that I created to test the feature. Trying to unselect "use all" in the edit block effort, I can unselect all, but nothing appears in the pull down. Is this just another known bug in the Pages application? How do I prevent that my testsite sends mails? I an trying to convert from vb to IPS so I first have to install IPS 3.x, so how do I disable all mail here? Then I need to upgrade to 4.x and I also have to be sure mail is not send from here. So how do I disable mail on IPS 4.x?
