Where is the setting 'Can Access Admin CP' to be found in IPB4? We have a couple of user groups who aren't administrators but who have access to AdminCP for maintenance tasks. If I make a copy of the Administrators group and move users into it, they lose AdminCP permissions etc. In 3.4 there was a tickbox but I can't find it now...

Hi, I found on a Russian forum a plugin to hide links for non-registered members. I attached it. I translated it using Google Translate (text data) and installed it. It works (I actually modified a regular expression to work) BUT it crashes Private Messaging and some other stuff. Can someone help me? Can anyone see a problem? Hi ! I installed a 3x verison of IPB and performed a migration from SMF, next I upgrade to 4x. For any reason some of the topics I imported got stucked in the category forum instead of the forum. As they can be found by a simple search, when you want to access them you get this error: You dont have permission to view this: error code: 2F173/K any way of get this topics to life ? kind regards. Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find the topic. A few months ago there was a topic which suggested that Paypal subscriptions created in 3.4.x would no longer be compatible with 4.x due to new API's used by Paypal and Commerce. This is the main reason preventing me from upgrading my community, so I was wondering: a. has this been resolved? b. what steps should I follow to make sure my current customers don't experience any interruptions with their subscriptions? c. for those who have upgraded, have there been any benefits over the 3.x version (new features, etc)? In previous 3.x versions of the software, I used to be able to import RSS feeds and truncate the length of the imported posts. I need a way to do this again. I want to be able to import a RSS feed and have it post the articles from that feed as individual topics in a specific forum by a specific user account. The software still can do this...... Then I want the content posted to be truncated to just a few characters, specifically the title of the article, and have a link to view the full article on the author's website. When I add sidebar blocks to my main forums page, there is an overlap occurring to the top right corner. This is happening on the default IPS theme. I have tried disabling all third party applications and all plugins, but it hasn't helped. This happen in Firefox and Internet Explorer on my site, have tried several computers (IP by trade, have an entire office building full to try from)... Hi I need to mass delete members on a forum, for instance delete members registered since 1st january AND with 0 posts on another forum, i need to delete ALL members how can i do that ? i had a look at plugins and apps but found nothing, and in the ACP i would need to do it one by one... So.. a problem I've encountered recently is that in one of my support boards when a staff member responds to a thread, their post shows up in their post feed on their profile as well as the profiles of people who are following that member... Which kind of destroys the whole 'privacy' part of the section. Only people who are supposed to see those posts are the member who created the thread in the support section + staff members on my forum. I've gone over my permissions and nothing seems to fix the issue, How can I go about fixing this problem...?

Even though I have set it to keep me logged in, after a period of time I am logged out of my site and have to sign back in. Many of my members have reported the same issue. Is this a fault with IPB or is it a function of people's browser settings? Is there a setting to keep you logged in? Thanks in advance for any useful replies to this annoying problem.

When viewing on a mobile device, how do I control the fields which show up in the author pane for each post? Specifically how do I get their location to show up? In one of our forums, members trade stuff and since upgrading recently they constantly post asking "Where are you located?" if they are viewing on a mobile device in responsive. I have a demo account for IPS 4. I created a database and added some articles. I added the block to one of the pages with two column setup. I changed that page's setup to one column and now I'm stuck since the block is gone and the page editor tells me Pages are already using that database feed. Am I missing something or is this just overly complicated. If I use the database feed on one page, I can't use it on any others?

When I setup my database, I made the user milcol, and now I get all my board validation emails going out from milcol@militariacollectors.network I really want this to be admin@militariacollectors.network Is this as simple as changing the db user name in config.gobal.php and on my server? I'm presuming it may not be that simple?

When I try and share a forum post on Facebook, two weird things happen. Firstly, the link on FB always goes to the main forum page, not the linked forum or post. Secondly, the image that shows up next to the link on FB isn't the image I set in the Sharer options... the image that's there, is my very first profile pic on this board, I don't even use it anymore...

Hey everyone, I sorry to ask such a simple question, but for the life of me I can't find the setting which is stopping my regular forum users (users just in the Members group) from seeing the "insert other media" button when they attempt to reply to forum posts or create new forum posts. Funny, they can see it in PM's and that setting appears pretty obvious. I don't see it under group or forum permissions, group settings allow for unlimited uploads of attachments, and everything under forum settings and posting general looks fine (no limits - everything allowed.) I even tried the "default theme" and same issue. It's weird because admins can see the "insert …

I don't know whether I'm just missing something but is there anywhere on the Forum where 'normal' members can see who moderates what forums/sub-forums? I know you can search for Moderators but from what I can see it doesn't actually tell you what they moderate just that they ARE a moderator? We have lots of parent forums and sub-forums that have different moderators and it would be handy for the members to know who to approach if there is an issue?? Thanks

I placed a ticket already o this but I was wondering if this happened to anyone else or if you would know how to fix it? All I did was created a new forum and dragged it to place it where I wanted it. Next thing ya know, every forum was gone and in the admin panel forums says, no items to display. Morning, My problem: i have imported my Data from vb4 to ipb3. I can see my events. After upgrade to ipb4 my events will not be displayed in the calendar. I have two calendars now, the community and the imported one. I set the rights in the modul to display to all users. I see the birthdays, but no events. I checkd my SQL, and i see all events are imported. Any idea i forgot to edit ?
