Is it possible to allow all users to see that a particular post led to the user being warned? This is possible for mods/admin, but it would be useful for others to see that specific content resulted in a warn, even if they can't see the particulars noted by the moderator in the warn itself. I've looked for settings and anything on the marketplace to allow this, to no avail.

Hello, I have managed to configure my login handlers, and all of them were correctly configured and they were working fine on my apache server. When I moved my data on my nginx server, I started having redirecting and error request from nginx, is there a way to fix? Best regards Hassan

Is there any way to disable or modify the admin cp from logging out so quickly? I've had quite a few times now where I'm writing code, attempt to save and get taken back to the login screen. Once I reenter the login, all changes are lost.

So I already have a pretty large forum going, and my uploads folders has ballooned to over 18 Gigabytes! This is creating problems on the server with daily backups. Can I move the uploads folder elsewhere on my server, outside the /forum/ directory? If so, how? And can I do this without breaking all the existing images and uploads that my users have made? Thanks!

Hi, guys. How can I enable Gzip compression in IPB 4? I've tested my forum in Google Page Speed and I found out that js and CSS file don't compress. I turn on gzip compression in Nginx, and it works fine for static files from my web-site. But it doesn't work for files from a forum. I guess it's because of parameters "?v=", but could you tell me please, how can I fix this? Thanks you

I haven't used IPB in years. Just got it again. installed some plugins that are supposed to have settings, but i can't find them anywhere in the Admin CP and i've looked all over. Could someone please show me the way to the plugin settings? I'm sure it's in an obvious place, im just super tired. thanks edit: found my answer here

So put together a bulk email to members talking about the new shiny upgraded forums. It just emailed out 6 times to the same members - some of which are tweeting about it and asking to be removed from the site Not only that but the task was locking on bulk email too (why do so many tasks lock??) I honestly don't think this upgrade could have been any more buggy/damaging to my community Really regretting making the upgrade to V4

Hello, In your experience, is it possible to pre-authenticate a user when displaying the forum? Scenario, a user is in a mobile app and his or her credentials are valid within the app, we then open an in-app-browser and sign-in the user using these credentials into the forum. I think this was after installing an application, see below: Now all my text fields in the admin cp and some areas of the site are now invisible, and only the file upload box remains. At least that's what it looks like. On both the default theme and my own themes. As you can see in the screenshot below, the "About this file" text field has turned into a file upload area. This happens on both the default theme and my custom theme. Aside from reinstalling IP.Board, does anyone have any suggestions on where I can revert/fix this bug? Thanks so much PS: I have all my plugins disabled.

I seem to be missing something here, or there is a big missing feature. When uploading a file, you can chose what category it belongs in. However, what if a download belongs in two categories? Do I still have to upload and maintain two instances of the same files just because you can't seem to add the same file to multiple categories? I really hope i'm overlooking something here. Thanks

Is anyone using BS3 with the default IPS4 theme? When I try, it seems like certain values (line-height, for instance) create some *minor* visual glitches, but I'm not sure what the best method would be for comparing & verifying nothing's actually broken, given the number of pages & interface elements in IPS...

Your userbar at the top right stays fixed and follows the scrolling of your page, so you always have an eye on your notifications! To do this, add this in your custom.css: #elUserNav { position: fixed; z-index: 10; }

As you know, the IP.Downloads module supports uploading files from your computer. However, in some cases I need to link to a file on a server instead, for bandwidth reasons. Is this possible via an extension/plugin? I looked on the marketplace, but didn't find what I was looking for. Some example use cases would be: Linking to a file on Amazon S3, but allowing the user to go through the normal download flow (require login etc) Linking to file on another server, and the same as above.
