Hi, this is new for me. I have set up social login with Twitter. Not tested it yet. Not sure if it is good or not. I wonder about when a new user sign in on my Forum with my Twitter account. Will this user details allso become a new member in my site? Can this user then log in without using the Twitter login?

Since Letsencrypt was announced I was interested in converting my site to HTTPS / SSL and today I have managed to do so for my test site. I am storing all other images in an S3 bucket, per the setup in Storage Settings. I noticed that the record image is still being stored on my server in the uploads directory. How do I get the record image to be stored on S3? I guessed it was the CMS Media setting, but that doesn't seem to be it. Anyone know this?

I am trying to create an activity stream for IP Downloads that just shows new and updated files. Currently all I can seem to do is create a stream that shows new files, comments and reviews. Do you think this is something that would have to be custom coded?

I'm customising my templates to a particular database and one of the things I want to do is make it possible to add a new record. Normally that's part of the template, but the catch here is that I want my button to add a record in another category. In fact, I'm placing it in the categoryIndex. OK, I could just insert a button and give it an href to the category in question, but I'd also like to respect permissions to do so. I notice in this community Board the list of Users on line is listed at bottom. On my board there is a link under masthead that when clicked shows you the Users, avatars etc. (the same thing you see when you click full list here) is there an Admin function to change how the User List is viewed?

Can anyone help me to finde where is in the control panel the option to add usernames that cannot be chosen to register an account? I have a website about cars and I would like to protect some brand names as Audi, Ford etc to be register by new users, but I have been looking everywhere in the control panel and I cannot find it. Hi Guys, I hope I'm not going to annoy anyone by asking a really silly question but where do I adjust the amount of likes a member gives on posts? I've spent the last hour and half searching and I can't find anywhere I can adjust the current 50 likes per member per day to a greater amount. Evening all, I'm looking to confirm the purpose of this switch on user group permissions. This option says, "The user will be able to: edit comments and entries, delete comments and entries, and lock entries from further comments." Am I correct in thinking that would give each user the ability to edit other users' comments on their blog entries? Thanks! -Dev

Hi Guys - Anyone have experience with responsive ad units? I'm running some tests before converting my entire site, and need to get responsive ads working. I'm having all kinds of trouble. I've read the DFP documents ( https://support.google.com/dfp_premium/answer/3423562?hl=en&ref_topic=4390040 ) but to no avail. I noticed a lot of people talking about selecting the ad unit size "responsive" when creating an ad unit. I don't even have this option. I have every size imaginable, just not responsive. Any help is appreciated.

Let me start off by saying, I don't know exactly what my problem is! So I can't get my head around the pop3 and smtp service on the IPB4, I mean I set it up, it works as it should BUT what I don't get or what I would like to understand is, lets say my site domain is "great.com" and the smtp is set to "vlad@great.com", the MX records are set up for IPB for that domain and I also have the ".co.uk" of the same domain Which the email doesn't work because the domains mx record is set up to run smtp on the ".com" (*) and when I try set up the email for the ".co.uk" I'm faced with a MX error "this can't be setup as the MX records are controlled by another app" etc. …

Hey there, I currently have a login handler for steam that assigns each user a steamID that's stored in the DB as steamid. What I'm looking to do is force the forum to make that a profile field for the user so it's accessible through the REST API. What's the best way to do this? In short: > Register through handler > Handler grabs steamid > Saves steamID under users DB - *What I want to do now* - > Create custom profile field for SteamID > grab steamid from DB > put into the members custom profile field

I am stuck at the moment, i've come to a grinding halt whilst changing a theme on my forum. I'm wanting a dark theme, i've managed to change a lot of the colours via the easy editor. But I'm stick, need to change the background of the actual postbit (The area where this text is). This is probably too much to ask, but how can I change the following colours, I guess I have to manually do these via HTML/CSS options. Hello All, I purchased & installed the IPS Download Add-On Successfully. I have added other file smaller than 2GB file with no problem. But when I upload a 2GB+ file I keep getting this "error -200 there was a problem with processing the uploaded file" I double checked my php config. I seem to have all of the settings correct. I just can't find whats making it fail. I keeps failing at 89%... Super Frustrating! Looked in error logs and didn't see anything. I have attached screen shots. Any Suggestions?
