Hey! If I update an emoticon with the same "trigger" ( :s for example) but with a different filename. What happens to all posts that already have the old emoticon? If that old emoticon gets deleted?

Does anyone know if this is a system bug or if there's a fix but I ran into a curious problem when I was trying to conduct a simple search from within the ACP. I was trying to find the setting for "Member Titles" because I wanted to modify the length of the member title. But, after searching for "title", the search options lists "[System] Member Title". However, clicking on that directs me to the "members" listing within ACP and not to the setting. Has this glitch been reported or is there a fix for it? I just haven't been able to find the option to edit "Member Titles" and I think the ACP option to edit it has been removed, allowing users to enter unlimited characte…

I cannot seem to find a setting or option to allow this. In specific sections of our site we expect threads to have extra detail/information before allowing the public to view them. How we've done this in the past (previously using SMF) is by making all topics require approval and as our mods find the topics they can approve them or reply telling our members what information they need to add. Right now when members go to view this own (unapproved) threads, they are greeted with a not so nice permission error (see below). Is there an option or a plugin that will allow members to view their own unapproved threads?

For some reason, the converter can not reach my local mysql install, the installation of the forums software is fine, and everything else can reach it fine, but I get this when I'm trying to convert a phpbb3 database over.

Has anyone else experienced glitches with the tagging feature since upgrading to 4.2.3? I've noticed a lot of issues since upgrading to 4.2.3. We use tags extensively, and since upgrading, carriage returns will be automatically added to our tags (for example, when adding the tag "Tag One", it will actually link you to Tag%20One%0D). What this means is that it will no longer display all topics that were tagged with "Tag One" before the upgrade, which are correctly linked to Tag%20One, no carriage return included. Additionally, if you try to edit the tags, it will create duplicate tags for the item prefix. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what was the solut…

I kind of like the new fluid forum view, but when searching with this mode. It only search the forum, nothing else like files, gallery etc. This means many users and guests do not find what they are searching for, because they do not notice to switch search category. Can anyone help me with this when searching in Fluid forum view, The "All Content" is marked as default.

Few of my members have their profile pictures changed randomly and automatically with some image from the gallery. Has anyone else experienced something like this? It is pretty weird, because it happens only on a handful of them out of the thousands members, but it is on more then one user so it is definitely not user problem. Apparently it also happens not when they are logged in. Is there any log I can turn on to see what is going on?

I don't manage my own hosting, so don't claim to be anything of an expert, but before I raise a ticket for IPS I want to eliminate my hosting as the cause if I can do so. Occasionally my AdminCP does not render correctly and I'm left with a partially loaded AdminCP. This is accompanied by the error 'ERR_CONTENT_LENGTH_MISMATCH'. I use the Plesk control panel on my hosting so I do have the ability to tweak php.ini and to add additional NGINX directives, but that's about it. I am curious as to how the File Storage features works in IPB, specifically the FTP store. Everything at my site is stored locally at the moment, and when the Gallery or Download sections get hammered my site can slow down. I am on a dedicated server, but to just increase my monthly bandwidth by 1TB is $50 extra per month. However I can grab a seedbox for $13 per month and get 25TB worth of bandwidth which is more than I would ever need and since I have FTP access....I could just set my Gallery and Downloads sections to store data over there? This way if those sections are getting hammered by traffic, we wont feel it as badly. Is anyone running their site from one se…

I find the black banner at the top of the thumbnails in the Gallery- black box with "By Admin" or whoever posts - very distracting. Many of the photos are historical portraits and the banner blocks the top part of the face. Can I delete the banner or at least move it to the bottom of the photo. Is location controlled by CSS? If so, do you know how I can find it? My preference would be to omit it. Thanks

I'm trying to create a FAQ using the Articles system in Pages. I know there is a FAQ system app, but I have many different FAQ topics which coincide with article topics, and I need to keep evertything in the same place. I have everything set up but the anchors and links. I have linked questions at the top of a page, with answers below, on the same page. I want to have a link in each question, which takes the user down the page to an anchor next to the answer (typical FAQ setup). Hi all, i made the import of a large vbulletin community. It worked very well, all imported (attachments and emoticons too). But the user lost their avatar, i checked in the converter configuration but can't see any option about the avatar itself. The cron tasks are all finished too, have i mist something ? Hello, I already had the core IP Board and forum licence. I had just purchased Pages but I do not find any way to add this to my site. It does not show up on pages, doing an Upgrade gives no result, emptying cache, rechecking licence, etc.. all do not work. Can anyone tell me the correct way to add Pages to an already running IP Board forum? Thanks in advance!
