Hi there, Since Google Stopped their paid Site Search services, what have you guys been using instead. I keep receiving complaint about the lousy search engine from IPB and I am looking at viable alternative to be used with IPB 4 Microsoft Azure isn't supported in Canada and seems complicated. What about CloudSearch. Thanks guys for letting me know how you managed to get around the tragic lost of Google Site Search

I had gotten a new iPhone and for some reason the Authenticator app didn't retain my setup, I went in to my account but can't setup the app because it requires a code, i see the link to reset the Authenticator app but its not accessible.

Hello ! I've just installed the last patch and I'm now having a problem with email notifications in Outlook and Mail. The sender used to be my board's name (Forums-enseignants-du-primaire). now it's : - Forums-enseignants-du-primaire@ns321456myserverIP.eu (Mail on my iphone). - "=?UTF-8?B?RW5zZWlnbmFudHMgRHUgUHJpbWFpcmU=?="@ns321456myserverIP.eu (in Outlook on my desktop) : This problem has something to do with the Site Name field in the ACP/General Configuration. Is there something I can do to fix this ? Thank you.

Hello everyone, I made two member groups, "Developer" and "Server Administrator," and placed members in these groups. How can I set it so when people look at the staff page, these members also show up in addition to the Administrators and Moderators? Edit: I apologize, I meant to post this in the Peer to Peer tech support forum. Can a moderator please move it?

Nevermind, I got it. There was originally an issue with the entire membergroup that was fixed through the permissions but the particular test account I was using to check it happened to have a moderation restriction applied at the account level that I'd forgotten about.

Since updating to 4.2, I've noticed that when deleting a Topic, the Topic isn't deleted but remains hidden until you once again choose to delete it permanently. I still haven't figured out exactly how to find those deleted Topcis to permanently trash them? Is there a way to edit that function? I'd like to turn it off so when I choose to delete a Topic it removes it the first time. It would seem to make sense for there to be a choice on first stab at deleting a Topic to choose whether to save it as hidden or to permanently delete it....

I'm having trouble migrating my members... I have no uploaded avatars folder, and no desire to move them, but I cannot get a valid value in this field nor find a way to skip it... Is there a file I can edit to skip this requirement? I'd like simply to migrate the users with no other data.

Hi All, Twitter does a pretty poor job of scraping content to boost the appearance of the Twitter Card in the tweet. Basically, if no og:image tag exists, Twitter shows a default thumbnail. Facebook at least crawls the page to grab an image. Is there a method or property in $topic that will give me the URL's of any images? Or maybe in another variable somewhere? I could then just add the URL to the og:image meta myself and at least have good looking thumbs in Twitter. Thanks guys, Christian

Hi there, I've been neglecting my forum for ages,really because all my members seem to prefer Facebook. Anyway, trying to get back into my forum, upgraded it a few days ago and puzzled why it looks different. At the top of my forums, in the area where the breadcrumb is, I can't see the text as the background is hiding it. I'm sure this used to be white or light grey before. I'm trawling tjrough the ACP and can't for the life of me work it out. Any suggestions?

Ive just done the update to v4.2.4 and I've hit major wall, the menu to your account details has stopped working.... the menu that appears under your username, located at the top right of every page. Any ideas?? before my members kick off??? Also I'm having reports that my members can't access the text editor in Private Messages, any ideas on this?? In fact its all the drop down menus which have vanished from the top bar, where the +Create, bell icon, PM icon are located!!

Hey guys, I tried to convert from vbulletin 4.x / 3.x into IPB 3.4, but I am getting this character issues what is the reason for that? ipb is not accepting some turkish characters like the letter "i" without a dot on it. ı I also installed a turkish language pack, but still the same.

I can create new pages but when I go to the site and open the Page Builder and the menu opens up, I can drag blocks over to the page but they do not load onto the page. This also happens with existing pages that were previously edited this way. I have disabled all plug-ins, checked my permissions and still no go.
