Morning all! I have the forum set to email the inbound address when a registration is ready for approval. By my read of things, since I have it set to require both email validation and admin approval, I should be getting that email as soon as the email address is verified. (Is that right?) The issue is, that email isn't getting sent. All other forum emails - registration email validation, admin approval confirmation, password resets, etc. - are going out as they should. I have confirmed I entered the inbound address correctly. If someone could guide me on what I might have missed here, I'll be most appreciative! -Dev

I get an error on my google maps integration that is as follows. What does this mean in normal English and where do I find these settings weather they belong to Google or my site? That API key is not valid or does not have the Google Maps JavaScript API and/or Google Static Maps API enabled and/or Google Maps Geocoding API enabled. Make sure you have followed all of the steps in the setup instructions. You may have to wait a few minutes after enabling the API for it to take effect.

For a few weeks a number of members have said they keep getting unable to connect errors on my forum. I didn’t use Firefox so wasn’t aware of the issue but after downloading, i get the same. I can view a number of pages but then it will get stuck on connecting to my site... then time out Ive asked my hosts and ad network but neither have found out why it’s happening. Invision yet to reply It also tried it on the default 4.2 theme with no edits or ads so it can’t be ad related Ive also tried a number of other IPS forums but neither have the same issue

I've upgraded a couple of sites to 4.3.1 from 4.2.9 and found the new Gallery layout is broken on both when viewed from an iPad, where you have the masonry style image layout in Featured and New Images. What I couldn't work out was why it's okay in the default theme but not my existing themes even when all templates and custom CSS were removed or reset to default. After a few hours of testing, I found out the reason why. It's related to whether the sidebar is active or not, not whether you can actually see it or not. Hi community, How can we add multiple keywords in search engine optimization section > Meta tags. IPB 4.3 I have added multiple "keywords" and entered single keyword in each but when save it, it only picks the last one so i presume all keywords needs to go in single text box, can some please confirm? I want to update my forum to 4.2.9 before I tackle the upgrade to 4.3.1, however I get an error when doing so: I assumed that since you have 4.2.9 available, I would be able to upgrade to this version before downloading 4.3.1 and upgrading to the latest version. I have copied all the correct files for 4.2.9 and I feel like I am being forced to upgrade to a version I do not want to just yet. Is this the case?

Hey guys, until 4.2.9 all automatic upgrades went fine but i just tried to update to 4.3.1 and.. the upgrader locked me out. "The upgrader uses PHP sessions to store data, however PHP sessions are currently not working correctly on your server. This is an issue you will need to contact your host about." That the heck is this Invision ? Also cannot login (and anyone else) because: [Template core/front/global/loginPopup is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Hi, after upgrade from 4.2.9 to 4.3.1 I have some "weird" login / registration methods in my list. All marked with login_method_[0-9] See attached screenshot. Clearing the cache didn't help. Has anyone else encountered this?

Is there any way - in the default - I can feature database entries in a nice way. I can only find the setting that says show only featured and then anything is gone. And sorting doesn't seem to offer this option of featured on the top neither does the order option. Turning them into a block didn't come out that appealing. So question remains how do my featured clients end up on top of the list/page. If the default settings cannot do it does i.e. Supergrid do this?

Hey, anybody run into this issue? I've added the guest signup widget to the top of my forum but when I visit as a Guest, it's nowhere to be seen. I've tried clearing my cache and testing in a different browser but to no avail. Registration is enabled with "standard, Facebook, Twitter" login enabled. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?

My website has several custom databases using Pages, and for organisational purposes I need one to have a list of links that goes through to another database. In one database I have a field that has the URL to the other database entry's thumbnail image. However, I have hit a snag where the thumbnail URL changes every time the database entry is edited, meaning I need to update both databases anyway so it doesn't save me the time that organising it this way would have in the first place. Two questions: Is it intended behaviour for the thumbnail URL to change every time an item is edited? Is there a better way to do this? For ref…

I'm currently on 4.2.7. I'm looking to upgrade to 4.3.1. I've copied both the FTP folder to a temporary test directory. I've copied the database to a new test one. I've edited the conf_global.php file to adjust the URL and newly copied database. However, something strange is happening. Even though the settings are adjusted to reflect the new temp URL and database, somehow when I'd go to update my test board my live forum would go offline (maintenance). I also noticed on my test board I copied, the theme had no images/css etc, I'd have to go to support to clear the cache, which would bring the theme back, but then mess up the theme on my live board. …

I currently have my forum set up so all articles automatically create a corresponding thread. My question is how does google view this as regards duplicate content and is it likely to be damaging in anyway? Further to that, I have seen on some IPS forums where they have a facebook comments plug in enabled on articles. How would this work with the corresponding topic, would facebook comments show in the topic? I have had some success with posting articles to facebook but the bounce rate is high and im more likely to get comments on the facebook post than the article itself so im looking at ways to increase engagement, Thanks!

Dear, After the upgrade to 4.3 the mysqld process hangs. It did work the day but this night it looks like there is a maintance job in 4.3 that kills the load of mysqld. I restarted the service root@h2530725:~# service mysql restart * Stopping MySQL database server mysqld [ OK ] * Starting MySQL database server mysqld [ OK ] * Checking for tables which need an upgrade, are corrupt or were No succes, i rebooted the server No succes. I'm not seeing the option anywhere in my admincp, modcp, or on the boards/threads themselves to reassign all posts from one user to another. (Say, from the 'admin' account that gets created on the cloud service, then importing from xenforo, then creating my own account I want to reassign them too) Is this possible? If not, it should be.

Hi, I'm using @opentype's supergrid and am having issues with teaser and body content on the article pages appearing on top of each other. e.g. https://yamahaclub.com/news/news/other/yamaha-enters-two-factory-teams-aiming-for-second-consecutive-suzuka-win-r849/ He mentioned it's how the custom fields are setup, how do I change this?
