Hi, can someone help me to correct the issue below? I have added an image in post and aligned it to the left. The list beside the image has now wrong padding. The list item markers are not in one line with the paragraphs above and below, but have an negative indent. How do I correct it via CSS? Thank you, Sonya

I have a backup of a 10 year old IPS community forum. The backup file is ips_ab4a7.7z After I expanded the backup, ips_ab4a7, the following appeared in the root directory. Folders: admin, api, applications, datastore, plugins, system, uploads Files: 404error.php, conf_global, Credits.txt, error.php, index.php, init.php, sitemap.php Will any of this allow me to view the forum in a browser. Or what must I do to see the old topics. My intention is to see the general format that I use to to display the general format and the flow of the site in general. Bob

I know this version is no longer supported and we are working on upgrading our applications to support IPB 4. No emails are being sent out so trying to update from PHP to SMTP but anytime I click save it goes back to the original.. it doesn't save any settings. I have also tried to update someones password and it won't let me. I have tried to use Chrome and Safari, I have cleared all cookies and cache and tried and really just out of ideas. We do not use friendly URLs (so no .htaccess file)..... Anyone have any ideas to help me out?

Hi Guys, So... about a year or so ago we upgraded our forum (finally!) from a very very old version of IPB (10 years old or so), to the latest. In the old version we had a forum that we call Purgatory. We would send people there if they got suspended from posting in the public area or for just being a dick, rather than outright banning them. To prevent people from seeing the content in Purgatory (and the sub-forums under it) we password protected it and made the password public, allowing just about anyone to opt-in to viewing the content in there if they wanted. I have a need to include the ability to create tables and manage them in the editor. I have found the plugins for it on the ckeditor site however there are so many buttons needed that it takes up an entire large editor toolbar width. What I was hoping is that someone could tell me how I could create 1 button for Tables that when clicked drops down showing all the table buttons . This is what I have now and I would much prefer to have all those buttons on the 3rd toolbar as a drop down from a single button on the 2nd toolbar:

Hello, I wanted to check if anyone used Revive Adserver to display a banner with advertising on any forum they have with invision pb. I know since I have Revive Adserver raised and created a campaign, I insert the code between <head> </head> and then copy the js that gives you revive, but still it does not look, until I tried with <Iframe> does can you guide me?

Hi all, We have some fixed search links in our menu bar, mainly to show several user groups. Something like: https://www.dummysite.com/search/?&type=core_members&joinedDate=any&group[8]=1&group[4]=1&group[26]=1&group[20]=1&group[6]=1&group[3]=1&group[25]=1&group[7]=1&group[21]=1 Since recently they are not working anymore and just refer to https://www.dummysite.com/search/ Tried it with several other searches, the actual live search works, but once you paste the URL it just goes to above default URL. Can somebody confirm this behavior and/or has a solution?

Hello! After a long time wanting to switch to IPS I finally did it! And thankfully when converting all members, posts and everything else moved over. The only issue I am having is that the thread links on the homepage (Like on here, there are the categories and on the right it shows who wrote the last post and which one) are broken. When I open a thread from the homepage it doesn't go anywhere. But if I open it from inside one of the categories it works fine. Also if I post something new it also updates the link. It's fixable if I update ALL forum threads but there are so many, I was wondering if there was a way of fixing this. It looks like this myforum.…

Hi, I switched from VBulletin to Invision in the summer (as a football forum) in time for the new UK football season. I have a couple of specific questions about blocks: 1. Is there any ability to schedule blocks? As a football site I'd really like the ability to schedule blocks on set days (e.g. a match preview block on Fridays, a live match centre on Saturdays etc). This would be better than multiple blocks being always open which take up space and which are not always relevant (e.g. you don't want to see a live match centre block if there is no live match to see). 2. Hi there, I purchased the SSO from @stoo2000 (I also messaged you Stoo) plugin over a year ago and it was all working fine. About 6 weeks ago, I *admin/owner* was no longer automatically logged into the community area. I have created test accounts and they are automatically able to login to the community area ok. So the IP software is working fine. I updated my discussion boards to the latest version 4.4.5 and purchased the pages feature. Downloaded the files from client area and copied the applications/cms directory to my live server and when I go to System -> Applications in the admin panel I do not see the Pages application appear for me to click "Install" I have checked file permissions and they match every other file in the applications directory so I know it's not that... Anything else I need to do in order to install it?

In the last week or so I have been getting dozens of New users accounts that appear to be spambots. I have setup reCAPTCHA 2 and it appears they bounce right through it. Appears to be multiple machines infected because these accounts are coming from different email addresses and different IP addresses. About 8 out of 10 are actually getting validated. Is there a way to stop this?

I've always thought this was weird about IPB but you can access the registration page while logged in? Shouldnt it check to see if your already logged in and restrict access?

Anyone have anything in place whereas when users upload MOV files (common from mobile devices) to the forum topics that it is automatically converted to MP4 (and therefore embedded in all browsers)?
