Hi all! I want to create questionnaire for my member in order to collect some statistics. Since I don't want to use a third party plugin, I am trying to create it with the Pages/Database. Is there any way to ensure that each member will be able to only one entry?

I just discovered Announcements in the ModCP but my sidebox Announcement is missing some formatting and/or icon! It just looks really plain! I don't see any way to add a FA icon or format the title? Any one have any ideas or suggestions to make it look better and grab attention?

Hi everyone, I am using the Database feature within invison community's admin panel. Can anyone tell me the pro's and con's of when to make something a category vs. a separate database which can link to information. I am holding data such as: An entry that represents each child of a user (they may have 2 or three) Various "profiles" for each child (e.g. behaviors, strengths, incidents, etc.) I am inclined to put all of this into one database and simply use categories. Permissions seem to be working (only me and the user can see entries, not community as a whole). Any advice on when it is good to use a different database? Does this sl…

It seems Banned and Spammers are one in the same at least from what i can see. I think currently I have more banned then marked as spammers but i believe this is due to how features were introduced, over the years. When someone is a spammer that does a little extra in the sense that it also signals IPS of spammer and potentially removes all content. To just ban if a member one day just went berserk and you just had enough of that person so you banned them ( retain all content ) and potentially after some therapy or penance they redeem approval you could restore them (possibly after you have retired any offending content) In this scenario i don't even …

I must be missing something obvious. With some of my sites, I can create a local version using WAMP, which is handy for testing and trying out upgrades. With other sites, however, the local installation doesn't work. Instead, attempting to access the local version downloads a copy of index.php. I thought the .htaccess file might be the cause, so deleted that but I still have the same problem. I deliberately put incorrect database credentials into conf_global.php to try to get an error message but nothing changed. If I try to access the site by adding /index.php to the address, then it does load if I remove .htaccess... but I can't log in because /login produces …

I'm currently demo-ing IPS4. I'm considering making the switch and renewing my license.... However, how would I make a custom user title for myself? such as "Founder/C.E.O" for myself, but just for me, not a rank or a separate group, just a user/member title? Is this possible in IPS4? Also while i'm here, how would I go about making my group color appear in topics as well?

Yet permissions for guests are set to See forum yes read topics yes post new topics no reply to topics no (and have been set this way for years and years) But now I have spammers posting to sell fake passports without an account. When i logout of the forum and try to create a new post it says "You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account." That's wrong. Upgrade from 3.4.9 to 4.4.10 is really horrible. I had board at forum.domain.tld But I wanted board in root, so I copied 4.4.10 files to root and ran upgrade script. When it finished it's upgraded, but all images and maybe css too are loaded from forum.domain.tld/uploads when I manually move /uploads/ to root of new installation, after refreshing all pages (admin including) are without any images and css. Where everywhere are saved settings from old board? I need get rid of all forum.domain.tld settings.

I need to add an upsell button to an invoice. When a person is in the invoice at https://tealswan.com/checkout/{invoiceID}/ i would like to add a button that adds an item to the invoice. I found this function, but I don't know how to generate the \Item. IPS\nexus\Invoice::addItem( \IPS\nexus\Invoice\Item $item, $cartKey = NULL ) To generate the Item I also need to generate a currency but if I do \IPS\nexus\Money::__construct ( $amount, $currency ) as $money = IPS\nexus\Money::__construct( 199, 'USD' ) it just shows error. Any place I can see some examples? Or someone can help?

I'm trying to understand what people think the right amount of plugins are for an IPS Board? I suppose the same goes for Applications. I can only imagine the worlds your oyster, however I've already learned the issue of having too many is that when a problem arises there is many plugins to disable and check through. There's some great developers on here and they've created some amazing applications and plugins that are so useful that you would hope that some become a core piece of software. Hi, would anyone know what happens when I discontinue Facebook login? I have been using it for some time now and some of my users have access created that way. What happens if I discontinue the FB login/registration? I assume they won't be able to access their account. Activity streams are super useful for my community, and I've got a whole bunch of streams created for my users and organised nicely in a series of menus. However, I'd like users to still be able to save their own custom streams too, but their custom streams all end up at the bottom of a now very long list of Default Streams in the My Activity Streams Menu, which makes them difficult to access. Is it possible to remove the Default Streams from the My Activity Streams Menu? Alternatively, is there another way to manage custom streams (i.e. not through the My Activity Streams Menu)? A member of my community has a Samsung S10 and gets a -200 message when he tries to upload a photo. I have not been able to find any documentation that details what this message means. We are using S3 to store the images. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
