Is there a way to write a forum post that will go out to all the invision community members? I know about the email blast, but I would like to have something that stays in the forum as well - so they can find it in their email and then have reference in the forum. Is that possible- to post in the forum that emails all members? Or is the only option to write the email blast and copy / paste into the forum? would love some suggestions or ideas on how you have handled this.

Hi, how many of Forums, and clubs can be created as suitable considering? Asking for this because I am planning use Forum or club as a client folder, so if I have 200 clients that mean I need create 200 forums or clubs... From the ips platform design perspective, is validated this use case?

Hi everyone! I did setup Facebook Login for my community, and everything has been working fine so far. This week, in order to satisfy to a request from Facebook regarding compliance issues, I tried creating a new account using a Facebook account, and I was quite puzzled regarding the behaviour I experienced. I would like to hear from something with more experience whether this is the intended behaviour or whether I misconfigured something (I could not find out what). Only the step 3 (below) is an issue to me. I went here to access more information about Facebook login in IPB, but this page only mentions the configuration part, not how we should expect …

@Jordan InvisionI dropped by the Release Notes page and noted that the 4.6.5.1 version had been released today. I went over to the client area and it shows that 4.6.5.1 was released yesterday. I looked at the date of the install files in my archive folder and noted I had already downloaded 4.6.5.1 on 7/28/2021. Why are you showing a new release date for a version you released two weeks ago? If you released an updated version why didn't you change the version number and alert the ACP that a new version is available to update to?

Hey there! I've seen this option under "Posting Settings" when I edit a forum and I was wondering what does the "Show as categories" mean. I went to edit someone's post and I was met with this error: I've noticed this has happened on a few random posts but not all. Nothing in the content of the post seems out of the ordinary, it's just basic text. Any insight on how to fix this? May be worth noting that we don't have the time limit for post edits enabled, it's set to unlimited.

Hi Guys - Just an FYI, I was getting the following message in AdminCP > System > Search Engine Optimization, after enabling "Rewrite URLs." I found an error in my hosts file that was causing this issue. I had the wrong IP address set for the server. Once I set it right, the message disappeared. The rewriting does not seem to be working. This may be because you have not configured your server correctly, but may be a false error if your community is not generally accessible. Check friendly URLs are working, and if they are not, ensure you have configured your server correctly or contact your hosting provider or server administrator for assistance.

Hello, there. In my country, the date format "Month, D, YYYY" from the lastest version is REALLY, REALLY unusual. Here we use DD/MM/YY (or YYYY). Using "relative dates" don't solve the problem for older posts. And changing the system locale neither. Is it possible to just change this without paying for a plugin? Thank you!

I can see the query running on my server but I have removed the widget everywhere that I can find. Hope I'm posting this in the right place! Not a critical issue, but something I've noticed on a couple of occasions: I've been viewing active/running tasks in my community suite (adminCP>System>Advanced Configuration>View Tasks), of which there are 3 pages. I click Frequency because I want to see the tasks which run the most frequently at the top, in descending order. Hello, I noticed this issue recently. From 1~2 months ago, when customer paid for One "Invoice", commerce system makes Two "Purchases" sometimes. Due to this, License Key delivery system (a.k.a plugin SULK) is delivering key two times. I already contacted to the SULK Plugin developer, and he said this duplicated "Purchase" issue is coming from IPS system itself. How can I fix this issue? Is it well known bug? Thanks. Hello, I'm considering purchasing Pages for our IPS community Forum and wondered if anyone could point us in the right direction. It's setup to use a free theme that we've customised a little to be "ours" and fit our niche gaming community. Hello, I prepared a new closed Club and inside it I placed a Page. Into that specific Page settings, I should be able to choose if the Page is visible to "Members not in this Club", "Club Members" or only to "Club Moderators". The thing is that if I choose "Members not in this Club", they don't see it. I already checked the Members Group permissions. Any advice? Thanks!

Dear All Is there a way to prevent a member using the PM system? I did try creating a new group with PM's set to ZERO, but on testing it, the ability to send a PM was STILL available. The background (in case you have another suggestion?) is that a member has sent a couple of objectionable PM and we want to stop him from sending PM's Any help gratefully received. Many thanks Bill

We had to move everything over to a new PayPal, and that meant cancelling all of the current PayPal billing agreements/subscriptions and creating new ones on the new account. Everything is working as intended except the old PayPal agreements we cancelled through PayPal are still showing up on the members account as active on the ACP, but when we try to view them we get an error. How can we fix this? I would assume it would know it was cancelled on PayPal's end and not have it appear as active still. Members aren't able to change their subscriptions themselves because it acts like they already have one even though it's cancelled.

Hi all, Since our upgrade to 4.6 series, the audio beep that was generated when we received a notification while online in our community is now gone. A few users confirmed that this is happening with them as well. The first question I need to ask is if this is something that is happening in all installs, or it is an issue specific to our install.
