I have a mod who gets this error every time he tries to create a private message to another user. What can I do to fix this? Oddly, he can receive messages and reply to them with no problem but cannot initiate a conversation. There is almost nothing in his inbox. Just a couple of prior message threads with 1 or 2 replies and no attachments that I'm aware of.

We just started moving class content from forum posts to pages - so much cleaner and easier to style 🙂 My question though is: Is there a way to add a block at the bottom of all pages with the latest update of the page? Obviously we could type it in, but it seems it would be easier to have it pulling from the database to save us bothering? Thanks - sorry if this seems obvious, pages are new to us, but we're slowly learning.

I have an RSS feed for a custom database that does not seem to be populating with anything. I have turned on the RSS feed in the database setup. Even tried turning it on and turning it off(that always works right?), but still nothing is populating. I have another custom database that everything works fine with. Is there anything else I can do to get the feed to populate? Thanks

I have found a bug that occurs when trying to merge duplicate forum topics with a topic created from an existing article/record from the Pages CMS. Setup 'Articles' Database has been created in Pages CMS Under 'Forums' tab in Database settings, 'Post Topic' and 'Use Forum For Comments' is checked, and a destination forum specified Steps to Duplicate 1. Create a record in the 'Articles' database, then post a comment on the resulting article page. Hello, I wanted to test to make sure everything is working before I officially repoint the nameservers to my current server. I went to change the conf_global.php to the temp domain in the multiple places in the file to see if it is working ... but it keeps going to my domain. How can I check to make sure everything is working on a temp domain before I repoint my nameservers? Thanks!

hi there, i wiped out my server including the forums, i've restored the dastbase from a backup, but the forums code doesn't want to run although i have successfully got /forums//admin/install to run and which logged into the database ok as well. i can't get /forums or /forums/admin to run tho. anyone got any ideas please? thanks.

Is there anything you can do for a large traffic spike? I expect somewhere between 2500-4000 people to be all logging in at the same time tomorrow. Thousands more just hitting the site. Maybe that is nothing these days and I am just out of touch...lol If they only need to log in and see one page, is it worth shutting down the forum/store/gallery ect...? JM

This morning I started getting this error, no changes have been made to the site. [[Template core/front/global/announcementContentTop is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. I'm trying to figure out an issue on my site. Support always says to disable 3rd party plugins when troubleshooting to determine if it's a 3rd party causing it or IPS. So, I disabled all plugins and immediately the site went down. Checking the logs show 300k+ hits in a very short time causing 503 site errors. Contacted my host; they ae monitoring it and says that the traffic is from IPS. Is it normal that this would happen when disabling all 3rd party plugins?

Hi, Today I found out that writing a new PM or replying to one also triggers the "comment/reply is posted" rule. I don't want to reward members for PMs in the background. I just want to reward them for posting topics and replies. How can I exclude PMs from this rule? No PN option is being shown when using the location filter. Thanks in advance and best regards, Roland

Hi, Two questions regarding the search option: 1. Is there a way to change the order of the Pages database in the list of avaliable places to do a search? See below. It seems the databases are listed based on their ID (primary_id_field). We want to change the order, to place the most popular databases on top and the least popular at the bottom of the list. 2. Is there a way to disable the "Pages" option(Páginas in our translation, see above) from being listed? Because it is the first option and for us it doesn't make sense to leave this option available, as our static pages has little to none value for searches. I know that we can disable each database…

Hello, in 4.6.9 the template of the related content widget has been changed. Now it shows hidden topics also to guests - of course marked as hidden. --- Update: Now it's gone because maybe a guest triggered the widget rebuild and replaced it in cache. But is this intended that if a mod triggers the rebuild the normal people see those kind of "insights" unless the cache is being deleted again?

Hello, I have several categories with hundreds of topics and deleting them page by page is time-consuming. Is there a way to delete all the topics from a forum category? Is there a way to delete ALL pages in the DELETED CONTENT in the MODERATOR CP? I have dozens of pages to delete and it's also VERY time consuming Can anyone tell me how to do that? Thanks
