Here is an example (add it to custom.css file of your theme):
    /*** Attach Mobile Nav to Bottom ***/ #elMobileNav { position: fixed; bottom: 0; width: 100%; z-index: 5049; border-top: 1px solid #808080; } /* Increase body length in order to not overlap footer elements */ body.ipsApp_front { padding-bottom: 50px; } /* Prevent from overlapping by lang switcher */ ul#elNavLang_menu, ul#elNavTheme_menu { z-index: 5048 !important; } /* Prevent from overlapping by notification popups */ #elFlashMessage.ipsFlashMsg_bottom { bottom:50px; } #elFlashMessage.ipsFlashMsg_dismissable [data-action='dismissFlashMessage'] { right: 10px; } It may also require some additional cosmetic tuning for your theme.
It shouldn't be hard but i don't plan to implement this because in my experience this behaviour could be unobvious and annoying for inexperienced users.

Fixed docking is enough in my opinion.

I'd rather suggest to dock it to the bottom of the screen on mobile, as many mobile apps does.
Here is an example how i implemented this on one of my websites a while ago.
This way you can access breadcrumb button, quick links and notifications right under your finger even while holding a big mobile with one hand.

A "topic-level" sorting option might be nice, so you can soft by oldest/newest or even top rated posts.

This is at the forum level to sort topics. This can be done from admin too that in what ordering you want the topics.
Looking for this option within a topic so posts are shown by the last reply. So the functionality you are showing is what we need, but within a topic. Will be great if can set parameter in forum settings (in admin) for the sort order for posts within a topic, similar to setting ordering of topics within a forum.

kmk reacted to zyx in 'Random' gallery image... not so random
Just some quick feedback  - I have a site with many 1000's of images, and yet if I add the 'random' gallery feed sidebar block, it will pull from the same 20 or so images always (for all users, despite clearing cache etc). Settings are definitely correct to allow 'any' image regardless of rating/author. There would literally be tens of thousands of possibilities with this criteria, so it's too coincidental for every user to 'randomly' get the same tiny sample every time. And they then never change. (For example, one time you'll get one set of 10, the next time the other set of 10. then repeat).
Is this a known bug, or a setting I'm missing to ensure random truly is completely random from the entire available images?
    Thanks.

    Solution :
Make the quote as a link, something like embed, maybe in this moment don't call it quote, I mean avoiding repeat the same content, and it will only show defined mount of letters, but with a corner icon if touch it will expand all quoted content.
    So
1, will reduce the length of topic that contain many replies,
2, Avoid information repeating (because only is a embed),
3, Will be easy if user want to read more about what is the content of reply.

    you can't
There is a big thing missing on Classified apps :
    1) the possibility to filter the results : by price, by brand etc
    2) A real search box with multiple criterias like you can see on various marketplaces :
i want to see the adverts with price less than $100, belonging to a category in particular etc
This is the major improvement we need for Classifieds

the next update is going to be 2.0, redesigned and better moderator permissions, the only way you will able to add the Q&A'a are on the front end, there will be no more adding from the ACP, the only thing you do via the ACP is add categories what can have sub categories etc,
The front end landing page will show a list of the FAQ categories and you will also be able to add F.A.Q's to clubs, it is 90% finished so hopefully if all goes well it will be released today, and it also has widgets what you can place all over the site, example if you have a forums category, you can place a block in the forums with all the Q&A's from that

You can already do this via your theme - click 'Manage Resources', find the 'logo.png' file and replace it.

I'm not sure honestly. I've been busy with other things (as I've just posted in another topic). I haven't checked all my mods with 4.2, and I haven't used fluid view myself.
I do plan on checking that all my mods are working on 4.3 once it goes final. At that time I'll try to look into fluid view, but I make no promises to get it working there.

    Hey there,
Is it possible to have the following kind of setup:
Public read access to Blog and member list and private access to topics.
or Public access to post on topics, but only allow members/moderators of the club to post on blog.
The purpose of this is from a gaming clan perspective: The clan can announce their things in the blog, but are able to discuss their strategies and schedules in private. I'm actually quite surprised that this hasn't been taken into account and that you have to apply the same rules to everything.
On the other hand, maybe you want to have a club where there are specific members who are mentioned as a part of that club, but anyone can write into the topics section. You still wouldn't want anyone to be able to post blog posts on behalf of your club.

Either I'm confused or neither Club out of the box, nor this otherwise great plugin seem to allow what I'm describing.
Thank you in advance for your help! ?

Invitation - Allow club leaders to send invitations to external (non-community) users.  My club leader has an extremely active membership that exists on another platform, but he doesn't have a way of sending email invitations to them via my site and directly inviting them to join his new club.
Join - This is probably the #1 pain point and I don't know why I didn't bring it up before.  External (non-community) users don't understand they need to register on my site and join the club.  It consistently causes a lot of confusion to new users.  I'm envisioning a streamlined join process that both registers on my site and joins the club in a single process.
Club Marketing - This is consistently requested by my Club Leader to be able to send out bulk mail to the members within his club, as email is the preferred way of communicating with his group.

I also want to reiterate existing pain points of clubs, especially:
Node Control - I don't have full access to all category settings, which continues to be a problem.  This means I can't toggle "albums only" for gallery, which means users are spraying their pics all over the category and not organizing into albums.  Default Follow - Users don't auto-follow the club when they join, which means they don't get club updates even though that's the sole reason why they joined.  I had to send out a lengthy tutorial that explained how to follow the club AND how to adjust their notification settings, although I'm resigned to the fact that most of those users will never be able to figure out those settings.

Currently working on round robin tournaments

it will more than likely have a league table with it and the ability to add points per win / draw etc and it will calculate them all to display in order of most points the league table can go in another tab

The team page has had a makeover too to make it more nicer to look at ( with a tab for the teams match history )

I am also thinking of changing the original tournament view to have tabs in

with the tabs it will be a lot easier and nicer on the eyes for more teams to be entered in tournaments we can have them split into tabs if there is say 8 - 16 rounds etc it can be 2 - 4 tabs of 4 rows etc

Hi! This application looks great and I'm interested in getting it as it is, but it doesn't quite fit what I would fully want, so I want to gauge interest from my fellow admins and from site users before purchase.
I run a forum for competitive debate and I would like to be able to host online tournaments simply, but a simple single elimination bracket isn't quite sufficient. I have a few different suggestions and they're definitely not too debate-specific to be generally applicable to anyone who wants to host tournaments.
The way debate tournaments are typically structured involve a set of preliminary matches (usually 4-8) that are used to determine seeding and only a set number of teams move into single elimination matches (ex. the top half of prelim performers, only a set number of competitors, only people with winning records, etc.). Usually after each preliminary match or every 2, competitors are re-seeded and placed in appropriate skill brackets. So it's functionally a Swiss format with a single elimination bracket added on to it. Seeding usually happens by win record with the first tiebreaker being "speaker points" given by judges on quality of speaking, but there is a shift toward using "opponent wins" as the first tiebreaker, which cumulatively adds the wins of opponents in order to weigh the difficulty their preliminary matches.
Other tournament structure options that would be interesting to add:
    - Loser brackets: Allowing teams to compete after losing helps determine overall placing in a single elimination bracket.
    - Double elimination: requiring 2 losses to be fully eliminated
    - Round robin: everyone has a match against one another and then either the best record wins the tournament OR the best 2 teams have a finals match.
    - Tournament series: setting up a series of qualifying tournaments that result in a championship tournament among the top performer

Other features that would be interesting to see:
    - Integration with commerce - Both for charging tournament entry fees and paying out tournament prizes (being a percentage of the entry fee total). I understand the desire to require people to purchase members shop for this kind of function, but that's not quite what I'm looking for and I think a lot of site owners would probably be willing to pay a higher price for this application with commerce integrated.
    - Integration with calendar - Being able to schedule tournament events automatically.
    - Creation of "Leagues" - Allow users to create their own leagues who then administer tournaments to participating teams. Integrating with commerce could mean leagues require membership fees that the site can take commission off of and league owners can charge entry fees for their tournaments that the site can get commission off of as well. Kind of steps up user involvement and investment in participating while allowing site owners to step back from needing to be too heavily involved in constant moderation. Permissions on who can create leagues and requiring league approval would clearly be necessary. Maybe allow for non-league tournaments but attach different commission settings to them.
    - Since my site is about debate, adding an extra layer to teams would be useful. Schools operate as squads with multiple teams who compete individually in a tournament, BUT teams from the same school can't compete against one another. I think that this would also be attractive to users if there was the possibility of winning a prize as it ups their odds. That said, I think it would be ideal to have tournament settings involve allowing teams in the same squad to compete against one another or not. (I'm not sure if this is included when you say "Create unlimited categories and sub categories for members to create teams.")
    - Show teams on user profiles.
    - Expand stats to also include history of tournament placing, not just W/L and ELO.
    - Ability to set start times for rounds of matches to keep it on schedule as well as notifications for start times/notifications for when pairings are released
I do have some more debate-specific ideas I may ask to have done custom (if you're willing) after purchase and after some other things have been updated with this application.

Responsive design is already outdated simply because most users are accessing the sites through the smartphone.  The web has changed to mobile, it's that simple and there's no turning back! If a software has a "mobile version" it is because it is working with the audience of the past. We are already coming at the time that the sites will have "desktop version".
The focus is the mobile and this will only intensify in the next few years. See the poll. Everyone is losing audience because of that. That simple.
