I understood that and took that into account. I am still saying it is usually useful to create a custom version of the core block first and then call it with the custom key. That’s also gives easy access to the settings that these core blocks might have. You could even add small customizations easily without touching the original widgets.

I’m just seeing this. All my products are shown as free. 😱 I hope IPS can push out a patch quickly. Very bad for business and bad in regards to the customer’s trust.

IPS should probably change the ACP search. Searching for “manifest” still points to Icons & Logos, where it has been removed from.

No. Every section has its own template and its own variables. There is no easy way to move templates between sections. It needs manual recreation with knowledge of every detail.

    Not, that’s not possible.
I am actually using Pages database to run my ads, but it requires a lot of customization and has to run independently from the built-in advertising system.

opentype got a reaction from Fernando Mercês in Commerce: Custom block in manual payment method?
The “Manual” option is not meant for a payment gateway. It’s meant for a manual payment by the customer. The shop owner would (for example) put their bank account details in that editor field and then the customer pays using that option.

I have a custom field with numerical values:

    Looks fine in the database:

Looks fine on the product page:

But once the product is put into the cart, the product in the cart will always use the next value in the set and continue to use the false value throughout the checkout.
If I select “1" on the product page, the cart says “2”.
If I select “2“ on the product page, the cart says “3” and so on.

You can easily replicate it as a guest on my site. It happens for all products which use this field.

Ideally there should be a “staging mode” with settings to turn off payments, emails and things like that.

Yeah, this seems to work. Seems to also require regenerator on the user side.

I would rather see the existing Wiki functionality improved. I used MediaWiki(-like) software for years, but it remans niche software with a very weird approach (stuffing content and structure into one big article field) that editors first need to learn. The way that IPS does it, is actually superior for most communities. You aren’t collection any sort of content. You collect specific content around your community topic. So you just set up databases for each type of content. Then you set up custom fields and then users just fill them in. If it’s a date, you use a date picker. It’s an URL, you use an URL field. And so on. And you create templates to style the custom fields however you like it. Ever since I switched from MediaWiki-like software to IPS’ implementation, people actually started to create and improve records. And I stay in full control of how it works and looks. It’s extremely powerful in that regard. Just the options to track and approve edits are lacking in comparison to MediaWiki.
I once had a vBulletin site with a third-party solution to implement a MediaWiki functionality and it was so annoying to maintain. Two independent pieces of software with their own code, their own updates, their own CSS, all crammed into one. Yes, it can be done, but can it be done well? And would IPS or anyone want to maintain that for many years to come?

Pretty sure it is not related to moving things around but to the number of entries, which defines the layout that is chosen. And in turn, this also affects which images are shown. Currently, the main entry would be the blog entry 4, which doesn’t have a title image at the moment. Before you added that entry, it would have been a different layout with 3 images in one row.
If you want to force a specific layout, set the number of entries in the block settings and then make sure to have at least this many entries in the feed. That way, there won’t be any surprises when you add new entries.

What’s your score when you send an email to Mail Tester? https://www.mail-tester.com
If you got a perfect score, you could try to contact Apple. I had delivery problems with Apple accounts a while ago. I first made sure to meet all their standards https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204137 and then I contacted them with details about my communities and my mail server IPs. They made some adjustments and I never had problems since.

opentype got a reaction from Afrodude in Pages feature request: database relationship field pagination and ordering
The use of the Pages database relationship field creates a comma-separated list for outgoing and incoming links. This is usually fine when there are just a couple of entries.
But there can also be hundreds of entries and then the field becomes way too limited. Suggestion:
Ordering becomes an issue. With 100+ entries, there needs to be admin-defined ordering based on fields (e.g. title or custom fields) or something like record ID, publishing date et cetera. Just like it exists for the database itself. In fact, taking over the ordering from the specific database being linked would probably solve it for most cases.  Pagination becomes necessary when there are lots of entries.  Template. Make the field output part of the Pages template system, so it can be customized on a database level. (So far, we had to hack the theme templates, but that won’t be easily possible anymore in 5.x).

Yes, it is possible with the database relationship field. It creates a comma-separated list of the other articles in a specific database.

It would relate to the window size. If you set it to 50%, it gets too small on a phone, but get huuuuuge (and blurry again) when someone reads the email on a desktop computer on 30 inch screen.

Just to get all the possible views: I see no problem with it at all. It’s not the early days of the internet or the personal computer where sticking to ASCII was necessary or recommended to avoid technical problems. It’s the Unicode era now. If my user’s names are François, Käthe, Zoë, Carmiña, Åbjørn and so on, I am happy to have them use their correct spelling. The software can deal with it, search engines can deal with it. It’s really not a problem.
