Sheffielder reacted to rebraf in Instagram and Facebook oEmbed support topic
This plugin allows you to paste Instagram and/or Facebook links and have them embed automatically in your community. This functionality used to work out of the box, however Facebook (who also own Instagram) made changes on their end that makes this more complicated now.
I don't believe so, however I'll follow up with you in your PM.

Hi @Fosters - is there an ETA on this one? I really love it but not working with latest version 🙂

Sheffielder reacted to CoffeeCake in Can members pay recurring subscriptions with card?
Yes. You might want to explore all of the individual processors that IPS integrates with. Stripe is probably most along the lines of how you would expect it would work.

Sheffielder reacted to Dean_ in Subscriptions - Recurring payments - how do members pay?
Pay monthly you’ll have to setup PayPal Billing agreements. Go to product and under settings you’ll see 3 options, select billing agreements and follow any guides/links if needed to set up.

When you get to the last screen this is where you add products. You choose "Member Subscription"

Sheffielder reacted to Joy Rex in 4.5.2 WHY change default colors! Theme for Old Colors?
So if you never customized anything, what's the issue? You liked the old 4.4.x colors better? IPS had been saying for some time there was a new default theme coming, etc. - it's not as if this should be a big surprise to anyone...
I guess what you could do is find a site running 4.4.x and ask them to provide you the hex values, or maybe IPS could give you an old to new color mapping (doubtful they would have it)...

Probably rogue ads. I would look there first.
In theory, your site could also be hacked and the malicious code is delivered from your site directly.

As an aside to the app vs. PWA vs. crazy ranting aspect of this thread, I wanted to share the below link for those who are trying to get up to speed on what PWAs are and aren’t.

Sheffielder got a reaction from 13. in Mass Prune Spammers
Previously on that screen/section there would be a 'select all' option on the right, with tickboxes
You could then just go down the list, check the tickboxes and press delete
It's something that you could also use to mass approve registrations
I really miss it. It was so useful as a timesaver

Sheffielder reacted to RocketSMS in Assignment of Multiple Categories
I wish that that it was possible to assign multiple categories to items. This includes photos uploaded to a gallery, pages database items, and file downloads. This would be similar to the way members can be parts of separate groups.
What's the benefit of allowing assignment of material to multiple categories? I will use examples from my aviation related community.
Gallery - Someone uploads a picture that is a beautiful aerial shot of his Grob motorglider. He'd like to have it listed in his album, Grob gallery, and aerial photography gallery. To do that now, he'd have to upload it 3 times.
Pages & Files Database -- We have articles stored in a wiki format. Someone posts an article about slow flight. He'd like to have it listed in the safety and the training category. He could upload it twice, but if someone corrects one copy or adds material to it, they diverge.
I think it would make the software more flexible and powerful.
Thanks for building a great tool.
