I Admin/Moderate a large 15 yr. old "Community" (425 GB - almost all in the Forum) for an important customer, with important information and images. It is running V 4.4.10 on a dedicated server with Liquid Web. I wish to hire someone experienced to upgrade to the latest version. I don't want to take any chances. I previously paid Invision to do my upgrades via their "Premium Support" which I believe is no longer available. So, I have little confidence in my abilities in this area, or the "automatic" upgrade process when it comes to dealing with such an irreplaceable resource. Hi there In the last few days I found that my landing page is not as should be, like a glitch in the layout including the side blocks. They shifting to the right away from the main page layout. I clean the cache in ACP and emptied caches in my browser, I used default style and still this same. Sometimes its fine for a day, sometimes its happening every single time when Im reloading the page or using logo to come back to main page. I hosted my media on S3 and have Cloudflare as well, but am noticing the last month+ that Bingbot has become very aggressive in crawling historical data (I suspect given it isn't hitting the CF cache but rather pulling from S3 directly). Anyone else experience the same or have any idea what may be going on? I've been in S3 for a few months now and this spike just started last month from what I can tell from the AWS logging I'm doing and querying via Athena. Bingbot is running 43,186 S3 GetObject events per day ranging from 4-9GB in total per day from this bot. Amazonbot is also starting to increase recently (from what I understand for Alexa, so perhaps block…

I know the 'app' issue has been beaten to a pulp and the ability to connect Invision Community to an app is fraught with technical challenges. Perhaps there is a workaround for an online app? I was reading about the BuddyBopss app, a social plugin for Wordpress, and this Wordpress Oauth SSO, https://plugins.miniorange.com/invision-community-single-sign-on-wordpress-sso-oauth-openid-connect Important note: BuddyBoss is the successor to BuddyPress. Would it be possible to use Invision Community as your main base but with this SSO, and using a Wordpress installation as just a stepping stone, essentially create an app for the Invision users?

Hi, I have been running a 3.4.5 board for about 10 years now and I just ran into a big issue. Im on a shared hosting and all of the sudden I started to get this on my cpanel terminal: bash: fork: retry: No child processes following a huge load time every time I tried to browse my board. Then the server just crashed and my host told me my site was causing them a big server overload and that they would need to suspend my account. My board came back after a while but not for long, it went to overload again. My host found that index.php appears to be the problem, so I renamed it and placed an empty index.php instead. This is probably way too simple for most of you but just in case, I decided to post it. I had been trying to update from 7.4 to 8.0 for several days. Every time I tried, my home page would open as a blank page. I could refresh the page and it would come up but no links to anything else would work, just got blank pages. I found that the default memory limit for PHP 8.0 as installed was 32MB. Increased it to 128MB as specified by Invision and everything works properly now. I've seen several other posts with basically the same issue so just thought I would point this out.

So I've noticed recently that a small database in IP.Content that has a title field and two attachmentfields for images is loosing the files for the first field. The files are physically gone from the upload folder and I cannot figure out why. As of now i've lost about 6 images across 6 records. I've checked for breaches, everything seems to be in order and it does not really make sense, if there would be a breach, that those images would be deleted...

Hallo, I create a new article on the blog and set a time when it should be published. When the time comes, the article changes the indication to the specified time, but is not published, still has the "Unpublished" notice. Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong? Greetings from Christine

Hi all - I figured I better post here just to make sure I'm following protocol. I need to switch servers due to performance issues. I'm aware I must export database and import it over etc. I'm keeping the same domain name, however - I need to move the forum to the "main" state (domain.com) instead of domain.com/forum. How can I avoid errors to accomplish above?

In the ACP for nominal desktop Menu config, I can add "Clubs" as a menu Item. In the ACP for the Theme > Edit > Footer Menu I cannot add Clubs as a menu item. Is there some other flag to set that allows Clubs to be part of the Footer Menu for mobile?

I'm looking to add the following code to a template: {{$date = \IPS\DateTime::ts( strtotime( $movie->release_date ) );}} <div class="date1">{datetime="$date"}</div> The idea is to only show the release date of a movie on a specific page ID - in this instance it would be page-id='15' I'm presuming that this needs to be wrapped in an {{if}} statement, but the syntax goes above my level of understanding of IPS code. Since a forum update to 4.x our pip_images have shurnk quite strangely. They are all 120x30 pixels and used to look 120 wide, now they seem to be about 30 pixels wide. To be honest, I can't figureout where to edit to bring them back up to their correct width, any clues or advice please? Original image Forum result
