I am hoping to get some input on my site's Robots.txt file. Some of the items in it are likely now outdated, and some may be overkill and possibly hurting my site's crawlability, so I am hoping to start a discussion about it here. Most of it was put together long before IPB offered a standard version of the Robots.txt file. Some of what I include was borrowed from past posts here, and some of it may even been poorly or incorrectly formatted, which is why I wanted to get some input on it. I've changed my site a bit regarding profiles, and have a custom plugin that has a noindex for profiles without "About Us" info, but allows indexing for those who have info there. …

Hi Guys, I just moved to a new server that's has much faster hardware, but is geographically much further from me. I noticed that when I click on the Notifications icon, the ensuing popup (see screenshot below) takes much longer to appear than it did on the old server. It takes a solid 4-5 seconds to appear. Does anyone know how to speed this up, or what cause this?

I’m trying to squeeze every ounce of performance out of my new server, and ran into this article. It suggest load balancing php-fpm by creating a second .sock / instance. Has anyone done this or does anyone have an opinion on this? performance tuning nginx and php-fpm “We created a second .sock2 file, /run/php/php7.2-fpm.sock2, which does not exist by default. Hello, we want to replace the user's message on the forum, so we want to make postbit horizontal, is it possible? We tried a few codes, but it didn't work out. The logic that works in other forums does not work here. Is there a different method or does invision not allow it at all? I put the picture of the figure I want to bring in the attachment. Hi, I'm including an affiliate script on all my forum content. Now I want to restrict it to the forum app only, so it is not included on pages added via the Pages app. How can I do that via an {{if … Statement? BTW: Does a full documentation of all template syntax options? TIA Andreas

I recently tried to do a Innodb conversion on a rather large table. I didn't' realize it was as large as it was - 1.5M rows. I used phpmyadmin to execute the query... which I now realize was a mistake. I got a timeout error after a min or so. Now I'm seeing extremely high CPU, and mysql is consuming 50%+ CPU and 35% + memory. What should I do? Just let this run out, or reboot and try again via the command line? I've placed the community into maintenance mode for now. Thanks!

Hi all, I have a small self-hosted community, and am trying to move from one hosting platform to another. I have followed the Moving to Another Server guide but I have encountered a problem I'm unsure how to get around. Everything is moved over and I can access the front page of my community, but when I try to login to the ACP, I get this error: [[Template core/admin/global/globalTemplate is throwing an error. I changed my database tables to InnoDB yesterday and had no issues this time. My site was running on php 8 when I began the upgrade and as soon as the upgrade completed my site went dead - ERROR 500. I contacted my host and revisited the .htaccess problem that occurs when I make changes or clear my caches. Bluehost support fixed the .htaccess concern and had to revert php back to 7.4.33 because I am getting errors when going to my gallery or going to forum posts and that is where we left it because they said I need to check my scripts. I realize that when I wanna add forum icon, the system only allows one icon for both read and unread forum.
