Hi all, I am looking for some guidance regarding the mysql (mariadb) config. I am on a cloud server with 4vCPUs and 16GB of ram. My IPS4 db is about 7gb and my members love to use the new content button Can someone please help with configuration sample for this type of server? Thank you

Hello. I added a CDN option to my dedicated server, like Cloudflare. I will use a DNS offered by my web host. As a cloudfare, but more suited to my need. And most importantly, I can handle what needs to be cached. I need to define cache rules. What extensions or files can I cache? All the "uploads" folder? Extensions in .ccs and .js? What can I create as cache rules please? Sincerly, Théo.

I run a forum for a small community, running Invision 3.4.7. (We can't update to 4 just yet, but will eventually). We've got a few hundred active members. Roughly only 15-40 members online at a time most of the time. On special occasions up to 100. Our database is pretty big: 2.8 gb (1.4 million posts, 9,000 total members). Our server is a VPS. Ram: "up to" 8gb (guaranteed 4gb). 200 gb space (we only use about 9). Linux w/Centos 6 and Plesk 12. Apache/Mysql/PHP. We've been on this one for about 2 years. I asked my hosts to install this but it didn't appear to be working correctly. See below and the hits / misses. I asked why that would happen and they said it is due to two possible things: A) Items not cachable B) As you are running CGI as your PHP handler opcache gets emptied on every request as each of them starts there own cache. The other PHP handler that can be used is "dso" - Would you like me to try enable that? How exactly should I be using this?

Hello, I have 3 months running IPS4 on Windows Azure, and fine... My environment are: Ubuntu 16,Nginx, php7, mariaDB, 30gb os premium storage disk. 1. I was wondering if I should do something more make it more secure and perfomance? 2. What happen if my site members upload many videos and many pictures? 30gb enough? 3. Is possible set up a structure, where IPS instalation running on a database, and when upload videos , pictures, or maybe all data(I do not clarify), those automatically saving in other data disk? thank to anyone can guide me in that way.....I would like offer a site secured and perfomanced permanently for my members...

Hi all. Since upgrading from IPB 3.4 to 4.x (10 days ago) my server response time (TTFB) is in the 1.5 to 2 second range. Yikes! Google webmaster tools has noticed as well (attached graph). Have others seen this and found any way to fix the issue? My original TTFB was around 400ms under 3.4. Server is dedicated 8 core xeon, 32GB RAM, SSD Drives.

A few months ago I tried out pagespeed but swiftly turned it off as I received the following error when viewing a topic. Does anyone know the cause of this? We've been having an ongoing issue for about the last month and a half: 1 ~ When you visit the home page, you appear to be logged out. Clicking on any other page from there will bring you to the page, logged in. 2 ~ If you check your cookies, you're still technically logged in on the homepage, even though it appears you're logged out. 3 ~ This bug pops up seemingly at random, but once it emerges it remains active until some temporary fix makes it go away. 4 ~ The temporary fix that worked in the past was rebuilding the search index. Tried and link my site to CloudFlare, but there was problems because I have SSL installed on my server. Run with Let's Encrypt with good results. Now that I had to point my name servers to cloudflare I got ssl error and connection error. Using VPS server and can turn Let's encrypt off or disable It. How does cloudfare shared ssl working? Do I get get https address there too? And what level should I choose, free, pro? Enterprise is too expensive for my needs.

I'm currently trying to address an issue I've been grappling with for awhile, namely that my IPS site is experiencing lengthy load times (3-5 seconds for a page usually, and primarily TTFB waiting). I've optimized the frontend to the best of my ability, use CloudFlare as a CDN, and the content itself snaps in almost immediately once it does connect. Hi, I'd like to setup interneational site. I have my main servers located in Germany. What would be better? DC in Germany and some Cloudront CDN? DC in Germany and Cloudflare? Hello InvisionPower users! I noticed I dont have any Caching Methods able to be selected. I currently host through GoDaddy.com and they offer WinCache as a method, however, it is grayed out for my website. Was hoping you would be able to assist in finding how to enable these options to help improve my website. My PHPInfo page does not show wincache as a selection but GoDaddy clearly states it is enabled on the website. Was hoping if anyone know how to enable this with GoDaddy or if anyone would be able to contact me directly to help with the issues. Thanks

I am testing out the REST api on my dev server, and for whatever reason i keep getting the error NO_API_KEY when I am definitely passing it. Hi I've googled this and havent really found any idiot proof instructions... although some say it takes a second, i seem to be flustered. I have cloudfront but i dont think its working on my site at all. I went ACP>files>configuration>addnew>filesystem>custom url> pasted in my custom url for cloudfront. Hello O'great allknowing IPB'ers! I am planning to create a site, including forum, IPcontent and so on..., on my private webhotel. When I'm finished I want to transfer all this to my Company that i work for, on its internal web.server. That is, "offline" and behind a firewall and only accessible through VPN or if one is logged in to that internal server.
