Just starting to explore the in-built referral system and wondering how we can set the discounts for new members referred by the referral system? If any of our existing members, refer there friends and family they will get certain commission set from the back end, its clear till that point. How we can offer certain percentage discounts for newly referred member by using the unique referral link?

The blog description, shows above each blog, but half of it is hidden behind a "read more" button than when clicked on, slides downwards, to reveal the rest of the description. Is there a way to have this description always be expanded?

Is there any plugin or way I can allow people to assign themselves secondary roles? I'd like to be able to just have a link that people can click, which would assign them x y or z secondary role depending on what role ID or what have you that I put, but I only want certain roles to be assignable like this for security purposes. The reason is that I run a Gaming Club at my University, and we have tons of communities (sub-clubs that focus on specific genres), because we have 400+ members. For the IPS Download addon, one can upload files and "upload" external url's (link to them in fact). Is there a way to restrict uploads to url's only? So they can't upload files to the file system but only upload url's?

So i want to make a blog, and let the "Pros" of the niche that that my site is about, post their news, projects, specials etc. I am pretty sure how to set the blog up, but i am in doubt of how to manage the users who have access to post to it. I have looked into letting a group manage a blog, but i only want them to be able to post in it, not manage it. How should i do this? Also, is there a cool way for users to apply to get access to post to the blog, or is the only way, to have them contact an admin or moderator, to get access?

1. SparkPost is Deprecating their FREE tier in August 2019. It is the one of the default option supported in IPB. 2. I need to find ways to "lower" my Email Digest blast to "save" money. 3. Appreciate pointers to how I set default Digest frequency to "Weekly" 4. Other reliable alternatives to SparkPost recommendation is also welcomed. Thanks.

Hello, I recall seeing a feature at some point that allowed a mod / admin to restrict a member account slightly different than the usual ban. From what I remember, it had various configuration settings that allowed you to make the pages / comment submission hand, 404's and just make it an overall miserable experience. Looked through the member and moderation settings and didnt see this, so assuming it was Invision that had this feature. Anyhow, just wanted to confirm that I didn't miss it and to also check with the community to see if there was any Applications / Plugins that does anything similar? (Didn't see much come up when I searched). Thank you.

Hi there, It seems IPS uses Pages for their blog here - https://invisioncommunity.com/news I was just wondering how I could effectively recreate the layout and looks of that page in that manner? It has pretty much everything I’m looking for to create for my site, I just am unsure as to how to design something of similar grade.

Good morning! My community is restricted to 13+ because I'm not prepared to deal with COPPA. Is there a way forum admins (or just me, maybe through phpAdmin) can see the date of birth entered at registration? There's not often a need for it, but every now and again we need to verify. Thanks!

I'm missing an option but maybe I'm not looking at the right place. I want to copy a single post from a thread to another forum section. But I miss the "copy" option. When trying the "split" option, I can only split the post, so the move option is not present under there either. I don't want to use copy and past into a new post because I want the name of the original poster on the post. It should be possible to copy a post. How can I copy a post?

Hi, so with my previous host, I was able to go into the file manager which looked like this: I was able to drop folders in public_html that contained my built webpages and it would be added to my site as www.example.com/(folder that was added name) Is there a way to do this with invisioncommunity? I currently own the cloud service and Ive been looking at the pages tab but don't really understand the layout.

hello, there is in IPB the option : it is possible to allow filters in all groups, so that each member can only see the people in his group. make invisible members who are not part of his group this will make it easier to find and see only members sharing the same interests for example or even make his profile accessible only to members of his group

Hi, I'm trying to set up a member (using a my test member account to try this currently) as a moderator in a restricted range of subforums - I'm using the moderators tool under staff - and then under forums I've chosen the ones they can moderate. However when I test this they can still moderate in forums I haven't given access to - any ideas on why this is happening or what else i should change? Thanks

This is very confusing. Firefox and Chrome have an easy way to fill in the date. Internet Explorer has it a bit different, but still easy because you see a calendar with date, month and the full year. Easy to choose. But when using Edge things get confusing a lot. At first Edge does not recognize I'm Dutch, so displayes mm/dd/jjjj instead of dd/mm/jjjj. Now I click on this date and suddenly, we get this kind of calender, but now in Dutch, with the day at the first position (which is confusing already because it first said month first).
