On this board, at the bottom of the topic we have IP.Board | IPB 3.1.5 ever coming? → replacing ← Previous Topic | IP.Board | Next Topic → When was that put into place? Looks a bit rubbish when its the newest topic, like something is missing. Is the preview topic hover going to be default in 3.2? I'm not a fan and it annoys me a bit on here, prefer the old one. Looking forward to hearing more about 3.2 but bring back the PM notification from 3.0 please. :shifty:

HI As some of you may be aware i have been trying for days trying to move my forum from one server to another, nobody's fault, just my knowledge of mysql, any how i figured it all out and got it done last night..Apache Server uis much faster now than a Windows one..:) Thank you to anyone here and from IPB who assisted..

Hey, I have an question about de Admin CP (sorry if this topic not in the good forum is). Is it possible to get the Dutch language in the Admin CP? Beacase i'm forum the Netherlands and I will understand the text of the Admin CP better when it's in Dutch language. As you can see, I cán speak English, but for me is it easier to have an Dutch version of the Admin CP. Greets, Tom

Hello, I've been using my forums for gaming related boards (Founder of gaming clan) but at the same time i'm also looking to have a 'Bikers' area. Gamers aren't really interested in bikes and bikers in most cases of which I know, don't really want to come on the forums and have gamers ruining their message boards about bikes. I know you can setup the forums and have permissions on so gamers only see games area and bikers see the biker forums BUT, what i'm after is abit complex but should be possible! As the title says, IP board needs a tool to compare language pack with the default one and see everything is same or missing or corrupted. There should be an easy way to compare language packs... Every so often I'll get a PM from a user saying they want to delete there account and I usually just ignore it. I would like to give users the option to "remove" themselfs from the community, yet I would like to keep the content they made and have a record of the users info. Could there be an option for the user to sudo-delete themselves. There would be an option in the user cp "close account". Clicking this the user would have to re-enter there PW, read some text about how there posted content will say but there name avatar and other identifying markers will be removed (names will be changed to something like "deleted user" ) and they will no longer be able to acces…

Hi maybe I missed it, but is there a rough estimate as to when 3.2 may be released? Are we talking a matter of days, weeks, or months? I know "it's done when it's done", but I was hoping for something a little more enlightening as I'm waiting for the new release before I begin skinning and heavily modding etc.. one of my boards. A rough idea of the time-line will help me (and others I'm sure) plan. I held off on another project because I thought the release of Galley 4 was imminent, and that was in September/October. I understand that IPB is working diligently on this, but I feel like I'm in Limbo here. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Please and thanks.

Hi, in the standard IP.Board-design there is a lot of unecessary space to the right of the names of logged in users, todays birthdays etc. how about improving it a little? Make the stats float to the right or move it back down like it was in the original. Or you could for example move "todays birthdays", "calendar events" etc. to the right section together with the stats or just make the stat-box float so the left area will expand to the right when it can. That way it would be like today on small forums but would make use of the extra space available further down so the list wouldn't take up so much height-space. I added to my site an additional registration question to help me detect spam registrations. Since my site is a fan site for a musical artist, I simply ask potential registrars what their favorite song is. It's simple, and easy to tell who is a valid registration and who isn't. Except..... Whenever there is a time that the spammers are hitting hard (like right now) it is not easy to check this information. I have to pull up the validating users list, click on a name to view their profile, select the profile information tab, then scroll to see if it is valid. I then have to go back and either approve or delete/block/mark as spam. This takes a good bit of time for somethin…

I think if the topic preview is officially the mouseover type in 3.2 there should be a member setting for each member to turn it on or off. Or maybe even to select whether it's the old way, new way, or not available. In my own browsing I soemtimes like it, but at the same time I hate how it's forced when I don't always want it getting in my way. I would probably have it off or the current 3.1 way for myself.

Is there any way that IPS can help users like me ? I am based in Pakistan and payapl does not accept credit card from my country hence I am not able to buy anything from the IPS market is there a way IPS uses the same payment gateway which it uses for its products.... like IP Board for the marketplace as well. So I can buy products in IPs Marketplace as well. Please suggest !

I remember reading some time ago that the report centre was in line for an overhaul... when is this going to be looked at? In my opinion the RC is fine if you have a small forum with not much activity but if you have a large forum with 15-20+ reports every 24 hours it becomes a nightmare to administer. One major thing is missing IMO - there needs to be some sort of notification when a report is replied to. So... could one of the grown ups shed any light on the overhaul that was talked about?

Hi there, IP.Board seems to have every app except for something for important - a way to invite email addresses from your email provider such as gmail, aol, etc...like what openinviter does (Ip.board not available with this service). I think this would be a great addition to the IP.Board app family. Hoping to see this in the near future!!

In the current Facebook Connect version, users who have their facebook avatar synched with the IP.Board avatar experience a small forums avatar, because the facebook thumbnail size is retrieved. The suggestion is to have IPB resize the facebook avatar, to fit the specifically identified IPB avatar sizes as designated in the ACP. This will help the avatars imported from facebook to be more a reasonable size versus the tiny default size. Thanks!

There are four issues we have come across: We're trying to cut down on elevated staff-status moderators in favour of community-based peer moderation among known/established/trusted users. Hello everyone! So, as stated [url=", for IP.Board 3.2 there will be a major revamp of the style/skin/template/design (whatever else you wanna call it) I'm now asking and/or suggesting that for the new style you make use of HTML5-markup that is backwards compatible! What do I mean? Well, we don't know how long it will take for HTML5 to become the real standard of web. IE7 and 8 don't support it, but many admins of different forums/projects say that IE7 and 8 are really important for them. So instead of using HTML5 and locking out those users of older and outdated browsers one could use HTML5 for the markup and HTML4.1 for the older browser within one template! …

I noticed, when testing the Welcome mod, that when you validate a new user account - there is nothing on screen to tell you that you have validated. It just drops to the normal login screen and there's nothing to indicate to the new member that anything has happened or that they are clear to login and use the site now. I therefore propose a "You have successfully validated your account - thank you!" message be added to the login screen after validation. Cheers, Shaun :D

Last year there has been a topic floating around about Topic Prefixes. Opinions were different about this subject so now i've decided to open up a public Poll.
