Clickfinity
I noticed, when testing the Welcome mod, that when you validate a new user account - there is nothing on screen to tell you that you have validated. It just drops to the normal login screen and there's nothing to indicate to the new member that anything has happened or that they are clear to login and use the site now. I therefore propose a "You have successfully validated your account - thank you!" message be added to the login screen after validation. Cheers, Shaun :D
Michael
I'm pretty sure there is a message that tells you that you've validated when you click the link in your email, it's in the redirect screen if I recall. Maybe you turned those off?
Clickfinity
Yes, I turned the re-direct notices off. It would be good if the message appeared on the landing page as well - especially as there's likely to be quite a few people who turn off the redirect notices. Thanks, Shaun :D

Thanks, Shaun :D I agree, I have the redirect notices off too and when a new user clicks the validation email they just get directed to the log in screen - no notice that they've successfully validated the account. Automatic log in would be nice.
sunrisecc
Automatic log in would be nice. Not in the case where the admin must still approve the account.
