Go to http://community.invisionpower.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=notifications. This page really needs one "check all" check box for each column....

It appears to me that time-of-posting does not display properly in Quote boxes. That is, a user posted at 8:34, but when the post made at 8:34 is Quoted, the quote box indicates that the original post was made at 12:34. Is this a bug or a feature? A minor kerfuffle ensued when one user accused another of somehow hacking the database to derange post display order.... We find no evidence of wrongdoing. Attached are two screenshots showing the discrepancy. Thanks!

Does the legacy subscription manager still work with 3.2?

As the webmaster (and also a Scout Leader) for 1st Ince and Elton Scout Group in England, I'd like to thank IPS for their fantastic suite of software, moreso with the latest version of IP.Board and related applications! When I first setup the website last year, I wanted to be able to update it quickly and easily, but without the hassle of a full blown CMS (the likes of Joomla or Drupal), I wanted something where I could still code custom HTML for my pages, but without having the hassle of editing every page to update the menu when adding new content - which is where IP.Content comes in extremely handy with it's tight integration with IP.Board and it's powerful inbuilt t…

I thought I'd make a thread to say thank you to those technical support guys who answer all our annoying support tickets - there isn't a way to really say "thank you" once they close the ticket so I thought I'd say so here. Countless times I have got myself into some serious trouble with apparently no hope of rectifying the mess I've caused, and yet they have always come back with simply: "your issue is now fixed". It is a mystery how this is always possible. Big up those hidden Tech Support gurus!!

I can't find how to make a forum "Read Only". I've had to use permission sets to mark a forum as read only. As such, This Tracker Topic is still fully active and not fixed at all. There is still not a use for any of those images, as they're not used anywhere on the board index. Not quite sure what's going on there, but was this feature removed for some reason?

At first i didn't like 3.2 as the structure had completely changed and i instantly missed the original layout but after tweaking the design/css for the past 2 days i can say i love 3.2! My Forums - http://forums.topmotors.com My members also say they prefer this version of IP.Board so thumbs up all round :) Keep up the good work Invision! <3

Where can i find the upload files for IP Chat that is compatible with 3.2.0? I was gonna send in a ticket and just wait but it appears not having chat working is affecting some of my apps from working.

I don't know if it was a software or configuration change but 3.2 seems to have greatly reduced the number of spammer sign-ups. With 3.1.x we had 10-12 spammers sign up per day (though they were instantly flagged so they couldn't post by the ipb spam software). Now they aren't even getting through the signup phase. Thanks for providing such a great software and service.

This is not a good idea. We already have support topic for categories... Now we need to reply to users in comments and topics. There will be more questions/support in there...

I saw several posts today and I thought I would ask; Are there any plans for IPB to remove built in features from the standard suite and later introduce 'improved' versions of that functionality as a premium feature (for a cost)? Thanks for the feedback.

I apologize in advance if this is answered elsewhere, but I could not find it. When we open a support ticket and the outcome of the ticket is "bug report has been generated - confirmed issue" etc. What are we supposed to do exactly? lol Does this mean that the issue will only be fixed in a future version update of the application? Will there be a "hotfix" released between versions? Will we be automatically notified when a fix is available? Is there any way to sign-up/follow the bug in order to be notified when a fix is available? I appreciate your guidance.

Humble request that there be some standard regarding permission settings Groups for all mods, apps, hooks. Should the list of groups be an INCLUSION list meaning you select the ones you WANT to include for access or an EXCLUSION LIST meaning groups that DO NOT have access to the feature. This would also be extended to the Forum List, as well - either the forum is INCLUDED in the feature or EXCLUDED. - Or for even more visual clarity - how about for each list two lists - by default all groups and forums are in the INCLUDED list and when selected they disappear from that list and are added to the EXCLUDED list.

Multi-moderation is a great feature that I love to use, but it's one of the most undeveloped features in the board (over time... it does a lot, but hasn't changed much). Could we have some codes added to multi-mod to make the auto-post bit more dynamic? Codes such as: #op (author of original post) #orig (forum a topic originated) #dest (forum a topic is being moved to) Also, multi-quote support would be nice for multi-mod setups where we only want to have an easy reply to a frequently brought up subject inside a thread, where we can click the Multi-Quote button, select the Multi-Mod, and submit. Then the Multi-Mod would quote the multi-quoted post (whether it wa…

I have sketched my idea of how i think the admin notification could be improved. As you can see the top admin area would have icons of each module indicating new items requiring attention/approval etc. Admins wouldn't have to search deep in the ACP structure for items requiring approval etc. All new modules would then be able to use this interface. I don't know how to program it but it would definitely make my life of an admin easier :)

A while back (few months) I remember hearing a staff member talking about a new feature in 3.2.0 that would re-size large images when uploading. I remember this clearly as it's a needed feature and I often get complaints that it doesn't exist. Is there any news on this feature as I don't see it in 3.2.0? Thank you

Facebook gets a lot of attention, but they account for only about 10% of www traffic. Which platform accounts for more? Wordpress, or about 15% of all www. Google loves blogs. Google loves WP. Not Wordpress related, but It's not all about text. Readers and advertisers expect a richer graphic experience. Most forum content has changed little since days. Gallery is making progress, but adding images has to be drop-dead simple. Want to find a successful forum? Find one with a lot of user generated images. Finally, reputation needs to be leveraged more. It ought to be displayed prominently in the user info pane of every post by default. It should be searchable and rankab…

Since you have now made the calendar a separate hook/application/download shouldn't there be a thread/forum dedicated to the calendar?

Hope someone will make a mod for this. It supports much more video providers than IPB's built-in system. Also works with pictures and rich media. http://embed.ly/

I posted a bug about this but wasn't considered as one by the staff. Currently, if you hit login and resize your browser, the login popup won't auto-adjust. That leaves the possibility of it going off screen. I saw a working demo of an auto-adjusting pop-up box on opencart, and I was wondering why something like that wasn't implemented on IPB? Demo: http://demo.opencart...ccount/register Click on privacy policy Now resize your browser --- Now try the same with the IPB login popup

Might be a stupid question and I know you can add them but should Twitter and Facebook not be added as "contact methods" by default? If not, why? I have never used ICQ or Jabber and neither has any of my members.

I previously used the Topic prefix/tags addon (third party) but had hopes that tags/prefixed in 3.2.0 would let me not have to use third party addons. My intentions are to have a prefix which marks a topic as "resolved". With the current implementation this makes it impossible. Yes you can use "use first tag as prefix" but the thing is that you cannot enter a tag before the other tags, toy can only enter is last.... So I start a topic and enter tags X, Y and Z. Fine. When my topic is resolved I would like to mark it as solved. I now have to delete X, Y and Z, enter "RESOLVED" as the first tag and then again apply X, Y and Z. Am I the only one wishing for more po…

The View new feedback is good, for members. However as a guest or as just looking to see what is new, before possibly logging in, accessing the view new content all I get is "nothing new". This is really no good. Might I suggest showing the new posts for the last X days when a user is not logged in and clicking the View new content? This change is also good for IP.Mobile as clicking the "new content" button there just gives you "nothing new" as long as you are not logged in.

I tried to use it a couple of times and abandoned. Mac firefox latest on lion and I am having tremendous difficulties in doing simple things like entering manually a rgb value under the eyedropper. The eyerdop also seems to turn into a cross/target when I need it to be a eyedrop... I tried about 4 times to play with it but abandoned the idea as it was too frustrating. It looks cool and must be really nice to use but I do not know if that is my browser/machine or if I need to read a howto before. I suspect there are still some hidden issues with the js and was wandering if that was just me or if others had had issues too? As quick feedback also I would make the wind…
