I noticed you can now upload an group icon when editing an user group. However, if I want to use an CSS icon, where I can specify: <span class="userManagement">Management</span>for the user group? I see no option to do that.

For a future upgrade would it be possible to expand the Forum statistics we can access such as:- - number of visitors - how they accessed Forum - geographical location of users - bandwidth usage I know that Google Analytics (or similar) can be installed by I would have thought that this was fairly basic information that most websites (let alone Forums) would find useful. I was trying to find the blogs that had the most views or could be the most entertaining and to no avail...only 3 blogs on that Blog page. I doubt there are only 3 blogs here so you probably should think about putting a way to read the most popular blogs so one could find them and subscribe to them my 2 cents

I own a forum of 8000+ members and 480K + posts which was built on SMF and been running for almost 8 years . The first 6 years were fine, but for the last two years I felt that the system was lacking and I had to reject several customization requests due to technical limits. It was about a month ago that I decided to move from SMF to something else. I have searched every option I had and when I had the short list, IP.Board was inside. On the AdminCP is possible to upload email templates. That's fine. But there is no option to download email templates. I guess that email templates should be related to themes and also downloadable.

Maybe I'm just confused, but ... I'm confused. :-) I've created two Category forums (each without a parent) - one called "Discussions" and the other called "Links." The "Discussions" forum has one child, a Discussions forum called "Discussion." The "Links" forum has one child, a Redirect called "Link," When I view the site, I only see the "Discussion" forum. If I set the permissions so that the "Discussions" and "Discussion" forums are not visible, then I see the "Link" forum. But, I can't figure out how to get both categories and both child forums to display. -- Roger

The other day I was looking (on these forums, since the upgrade) to add a signature. I clicked Edit Profile as that's where all the other public information about me, that appears next to my posts, is. There is no signature box there as it's actually in settings instead. Am I the only one who feels this is a strange usability choice? Cheers

Using the default category icons after a user logs in to a password protected forum we can see a un-lock icon appears however... when using a custom icon set that option is no where present. We can upload a lock icon but that's it, a user needs a way to know the areas un-locked after logging into it no matter if they're using a default or custom set of icons imo.. This imo is also a bug but I wont report it as such because I have a feeling it's wai Thanks

...solved the collapsing cover photo problem on the profile when switching between see my activity and view profile (button in the lower right of the cover photo)? When clicking to see my activity I suspect $small is getting passed and .cProfileHeaderMinimal is being applied, shrinking the height of the cover photo in half. Fine for tablet or phone views but this is happening in standard view. Damned if I can see where exactly this is going on. I think this was discussed on the preview site, either as a bug or a design choice. With the preview site gone now... EDIT: Maybe this button isn't supposed to be viewable in standard view? OK I haven't been able to purchase yet but I am looking into getting Nexus for my site. I thought it would be nice to allow those that submit files to create " Promo Codes" for sales for their own files if they would like. I think this would be a good thing to put into place here for days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Hey guys, I have a pre-existing Wordpress site and plan to make the move to IPS. So far, I've installed IPS with a new database into a domain subdirectory (mydomain.com/IPS) to start tooling with it. I've dug around for a bit, but I can't seem to find the best way to do this. 1. Am I to assume the database holds many of my changes, and I can simply move the contents of /IPS into my root directory (obviously changing a few URLs in ACP) when I'm ready to launch? 2. Should I have used the Wordpress database (for migration ease)? 3. Should I have immediately migrated (disabling Wordpress signup, etc. until IPS launch)? I'd like to figure this out before I waste a lot of d…

To install pages I uploaded the unzipped files into the applications folder on the server. Once this was done it recognized the app in System -> Applications. Hit the install button there and it seems to be installed in system. However when I attempt to create a new page, it will not process after hitting save. Are there other steps to installation or do you think it is a bug. Re-installed all Pages files once already.

In the settings there is the option to allow RSS imports, but when creating a blog or blog content, I see no feature allowing the option to create an RSS import into IP Blog. Is this a feature that will come with a future release, or am I missing something?

Hi everybody, I've upgraded my live site in a trial site, the upgrade process has worked correctly, but the problem comes when I want to work with the new v4 I don't know why but the site and the ACP appears in Text mode instead using a Theme. I don't know if this is caused with the upgrading of the old skins or which is the cause... Anybody knows de cause and the solution? Thanks in Advance

Hi, I'm wondering if there are any plans to add multi language support to the Content section in 4.0. In some CMS, for instance I remember Joomla, when you create articles you have text boxes to edit the text separately for each language you've added, and then the user could switch the site language and the site url would become /en/ for English, /es/ for Spanish, etc.

Has this happened to you? After setting up a full test board with forum and download categories all seems to work fine in the front. But going back in the acp to make a few corrections I seem to have lost all apps with the exception of the forum. The Blog, Downloads and Gallery are now gone... While under Forum, Settings produces a heavy line rather than settings themselves. If this happened to others and you were able to find the problem chime in I have spent a day trying to figure this one out.... Another question while I am at it. Has anyone successfully made a test upgrade?
