Wrapping the sub-forums in the ipsPageHeader doesn't look as good as say as ipsPageHeader when viewing a topic or looking at the calendar which are separated. Keeping the information separate from the sub-forums just looks better imo. Also all other apps are separated from the ipsPageHeader... Just a thought anyhow. Also... Don;'t know if this could be a bug since I couldn't find anywhere else like this even though one may be present

I'm not familiar with pathing using WAMP. Looking in the ACP under system-advanced-datastore I see the location listed as C:\wamp\www\ips_037cb/datastore Is that last forward slash kosher? I had to backtrack the zend call in php.ini for the ioncube loader when I had the slashes going the wrong way - just want to be sure any other errors I have going on with the upgrade aren't traceable to this.

Trying out the beta of Commerce the app still is missing a vital, and basic, field for products: an SKU or product code. I can't believe you can miss this out of a 'Commerce' module. How custom fields are handled is also a nightmare. For example I have two pairs of shoes; One pair in sizes 8, 9 and 10 and in colours blue and green. The other pair are in sizes 7, 8 and 9 and in colours grey and white. I have to add 4 different custom fields just for these two products. If you have another pair of shoes that have blue, grey and white colours, that's another field I need to add! It would be a LOT more productive to have per-product custom fields - a lot of commerce platform…

I was hoping to see a pre-release of IP. Chat along the Beta 4 release. It is not even mentioned in the Beta 4 announcement but I simply think Charles forgot to mention it. Is there any update on the progress on IP. Chat? I guess this delay has something to do with the backend...

I can't get this right, and I seem to be the only one, so I'm hoping that somebody can tell me what I'm doing wrong. I own a licence for Nexus, and so would like to see Commerce in my Beta. When I tried updating via the link in the dashboard, Commerce didn't appear. I suppose that's not a surprise, since there was no Commerce initially installed for it to update. So I downloaded Commerce from my client area, copied the files across, and then installed it in System > Applications. It seemed to go fine. Commerce appeared as an app, and the Store and Support items appeared in the nav bar. However, clicking them brings me a 404 that /store and /support aren't on the server…

The first thing you see are a lot of information you don't want, atleast not when you want to read the blog entry. It might be ok to see those information on the blog page itself (even there it looks extremly ugly), but the entry page should be much lighter. I think the simple version looks a lot better.

I'm feeling the follow feature is currently quite useless, because of the way it's setup as being focused on delivering notifications for example. Issue 1: It notifies me of EVERYTHING, no filtering It notifies me of any comment, reply and content items that these members publish. Which is not what I would really want to see in the follow feature. For example, I may want to follow the developers on here. But since I read every bug report and every comment on them, I wouldn't be interested in notifications every time they comment on bug reports. But I would be interested in knowing about their replies to topics or blog entries. For other members I may only be interested …

I think the display name (and maybe a small avatar) should come back in the mobile menu. I find myself unsure on which account I'm logged on with now. Someone else may have logged in without me knowing, it may be a tablet or mobile that someone else borrowed etc. Now it seems I'll have to post something or go to the messenger area to try and figure out which account I'm logged in on. This insecurity on which account I'm in may be seen as weird, but it really makes me unsure and wants me to log out and then in again, just to be sure... Which would be a waste in 90% of cases probably...

In 3.4 with IP.Content I have complete control over the menu. I 4.0 it seems, I can only “arrange apps” to control the order of the menu. If I add custom sub-menus through Pages, they will all be “bundled” together. This however totally breaks how my site is working now. For example: I have a sub-menu for additional functions of minor importance (members online/delete account/contact admin/ …) at the END of my 3.4 menu. In 4.0 (with Pages as default app) that sub-menu will be forced to the beginning of my menu after "articles” and before "forum". I get the usefulness of the way it is working as a default option, but there should still be a way to have truly customiza…

Product groups in Commerce can have a cover photo applied which is great but there are no methods for re-positioning the photo so you are stuck with whatever is in the middle of the image as the cover photo image. A hack around it would be to upload an image roughly in the aspect ratio of the displayed version but with re-positioning as a feature already existing in the suite maybe we can get some here?

I am not an admin or customer of IPS but I am an end user of a community that recently switched over to use your tools (http://community.battlefront.com). The admin suggested I come here to report an issue I am having but I do not see an obvious way to report a bug as an end user of a community power by IPS. Please direct me to the right place. Ian

Hi, I noticed on Beta4 that now when translating, instead of automatically saving the text strings when I changed the text box (happened on the previous betas and alpha), now it shows a save button for each text box. Hitting the save button EACH TIME I translate a string is not practical, and it slows down considerably the translation process. Was this intended or is a bug / problem with my installation perhaps ? Thanks
