Aside from a template edit, will we be able to edit the color of mentions? As they are now I find them far too dark and distracting when reading a post.

Maybe it was there before, but I just noticed it this morning. I like that there is a way to view past purchases via the Marketplace (Marketplace > Manage Purchases). I think it would be helpful though after drilling down to an individual item, if you could somehow navigate to its location in the Marketplace. There are lots of plugins and apps I have purchased over the years and have for whatever reason deactivated or removed them all together. It would be nice if I could click over to the item in the Marketplace to see if there is a new/updated version available.

It's pushing my OCD is on overdrive! They should all be filled or all be open. Personally I think all filled looks better.

I'm not quite sure how the new browser notifications are supposed to work. I've got my Safari notifcations set up like this: If I'm browsing in another tab or something and someone replies to something I'm following then I get the "Banner" popup saying that it occurred and no noise plays (as configured above). But then if I switch to the tab with the forum in it I then instantly hear a "ding" sound. So the question is why is the ding playing at all? And why is it only playing too late when I switch back to the forum? I have already been notified of a reply so the ding seems pointless? I've not tried it in Chrome yet, maybe it works differently there?

Hello, the gallery https://community.invisionpower.com/gallery/ produces too much traffic. 5 MB with desktop and 4 MB with mobile is not acceptable. I know there are a lot of images but why are not using smaller thumbnails?

We rely heavily on the gallery in our community and there are some things that should be changed sooner rather then later in order to make it function better. First is captions. This is something I will be coding a fix for myself while we wait for an official solution. Basically right now the default caption is the filename. We need some way to remove the default caption and just leave it blank forcing people to put their own caption in. A lot of our members just upload photos and leave the filename so we end up from anything from IMG004.JPG to THIS-IS-MY-PHOTO-47493t-EDITED-VERSION-WITH-WATERMARK-3u4fn38.JPEG. So please allow an option to leave the caption blank. …

The new browser notifications are brilliant and I find myself clicking them as soon as I see them. The notifications at the top of the page are not marked as read though, so even though I have acknowledged a notification by clicking on it in the popup, I have to click it at the top of the page (under the bell) as well. They should be linked so clicking one marks the other as read/acknowledged. Thanks

Hello, I would suggest how about. TAKING YOUR BLOODY TIME WITH IT AND RELEASE A PROPER RELEASE. Instead of releasing 2 or 3 every month how about actually finishing it and releasing a proper release, Like seriously. I designed a theme for myself on IPS 4.0.10 or 11 and then it got destroyed when i upgraded to 4.0.13 and had to make it again. Now your about to release IPS 4.1, obviously since the community is running it. That's gonna need a completely new theme too. Like seriously. @Charles, due to the recent change on menu, Downloads it's not accessible via tablet/phone: When you click on Marketplace on a tablet/phone, it shows the next level: No link to the Downloads app there.

What do you think about adding an option for the user to suspend e-mail notifications for as long as they are active on the forum? In the past, I've utilized both inline and e-mail notifications. E-Mail notifications provide me instant feedback, as I have notifications set up on my desktop for whenever I get a new e-mail. Now, I end up getting a desktop notification and e-mail notification at the same time. But I naturally don't want to disable e-mail notifications for when I'm not active on the forum. It is really annoying that the notification counter does not decrease or go away when I already read the content. It was annoying in IPS 4.0 but with 4.1 it is a level higher. Now I directly click on the push notification to read content. I don't see the purpose of the counter after I read the content.

This list of items is either missing the parent application or other organizational pattern - the name used here is not descriptive enough - it would be tedious if the Admin had to go thru the language editor to change these labels. Should there be a field on the app settings for these as to what the "Content Type" name is for this filter? It's very confusing as there are three "Articles" sections here -

I have long needed a way to find posts that have NO replies or with fewer then 5 replies where the author only has a few posts (newbies) I would love to see a way to add filters based on total participation of the topic and the authors total post count (or group) of the content author. I think it would be better if the link "Go to first unread" under the dot wil be moved and can be accessed when the user click on the left icon. I think it would be easier and more intuitive for users. What do you think?

Looking through the admin CP I will have to say I am quite impressed with the IPS Staff and all their hard work that they have put into IPS 4.0! With that said I know you guys are still working on it and I would like to see something that you had in 3.4 put back in. When sending a bulk email we had the options to select less then or greater then posts so say I want to seen a post to my 0 Posters to inform them that if they do not make any posts there account will be removed. I can't do that in 4.0 and would love to see this feature put back in on alater release if at all possible.

Currently a database's RSS feed excludes the the record image for no apparent reason. Almost all blogs/news site use an article image, it's arguable almost as important as the title, and definitely the first thing a user pays attention to when they see a post. The reason it's so important to me is that we are developing a mobile app for our site that will allow users to read the latest articles, by fetching them from the RSS.
