I would like to have display templates for commerce products, along with actual custom fields that can display information in them. I want to have the general product description, and on the right side, a column with information that is stored in fields. Kinda like what you have here in the marketplace under File Information, but the information on the right would be pulled from custom fields that have different information for each product.

Hi, Came here today just to say a big "THANK YOU" to the IPS team for changing the layout of the settings page on the 4.1.9 version. The new layout is much better as we were having a problem of too many options and they didn't fit the layout, especially in lower resolutions, and now as the list goes down instead of sideways, everything fits and we have plenty of space for adding as many options (i.e., plugins) we want. Hi, On IPB 3.4.x, posts inside a topic were numbered as #1, #2, #3, etc. On IPS 4.1.x, they are not numbered anymore. Our users and moderators think the numbering helps them on their replies (E.g., "according to posts #3, #10, and #12"), and wanted the posts to be numbered again. I contacted the support team and they said this can't be done, however they think there is a plugin available for that, but I wasn't able to locate it. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. When I use the suite software I see many things which think are mandatory in a suite. (In my opinion of course :-).) You may point out that there is a marketplace where I can find all this stuff. That's true, but I don't want to pay for must-have plugins, more important, I don't want to be addicted to many other persons I don't know. Why? There is no quality control of these person within the software project and I don't know if this plugin will destroy my community. It's like shareware or open source. Try it and let's see. I don't know about the others here, but I preferred the old layout where the client support forums were positioned in the middle of the support forums and now it's located at the bottom of the board index? I'm hoping that IPS puts the client support forums back in the middle of the board index since those forums I was using mostly. Not everyone uses the Marketplace support forums. I'm referring to the "Community Engagement" section, it used to be placed above the "Community Led Resources" forum. IPS should be placing the support forums for IPS above the priority of the resources forums. Thanks.

I haven't been here in a long time, focusing on other things productive. I noticed that Gallery was missing and that you're deprived of all the artistic demo pictures that I felt needed to be shared with the world. Thankfully I hear it's coming back. But I'm unaware where we are with things like the Q&A forums and whether they have been made functional in a way that makes them worth using - don't see a demo. I noticed that the new navigation menu that IPS uses, and I assume that it's for IPS 4.1.9, doesn't feature the annoying mouse-over menu (which has become an increased annoyance for my community). I recently upgraded to IPS 4.1.9 but my upgrade is still using the same "mouse-over" navigation menu from 4.1.8. I'm wondering if this was included with the IPB 4.1.9 upgrade or if it's customized just for the IPS support forums.

It should be possible to turn off the ability for members to create they own streams. I don't see much use for it now with the new filter settings and I have already created custom links to the most used streams.

With IPB4 you've removed the function to add a comment on the status feed, however what doesn't make sense to me is that 1.) It's been removed 2.) Since that function has been removed.. What exactly is the point of seeing everyone's recent status updates as wouldn't it be better to only see status updates of people with whom you follow, since the friends list has been also changed to more twitter ish follower feed? - Also yes I understand the point of widgets & add ons that could help implement these things, but as current stock functions they don't integrate that well with each other as a seamless experience

Adding the Announcement block above the forums and clicking EDIT only provides a choice of # of announcements to show but I can t find anywhere in the ACP where these anouncements can be set. Shouldn t the announcement be writable as you edit the block? If someone knows where the announcements are set please let me know

Maybe I am missing something, but I don't think the new Filter Bar is intuitive when it comes to selecting different Content Types. I get that you can toggle on and off Content Types, but the only way you can get it to refresh is to click somewhere in the screen off the menu. There is NO way my members will figure this out!

This has been since IPB 3 but I suggest the following: 1. Group Discounts - I need to be able to set a percentage not a hard price please. Setting a hard price discount causes issues, #1, the discount does not apply to the overall price if they add options, only the base price. So let's say I have on my site "Premium Members get 25% off in our store." They go to buy a $20 shirt. In the cart it is $15. Now they select XXL which adds $5. Now it is $20 instead of adding $3.75. We want it to be 25% off the total, not set the base price of the product. Issue #2, if you constantly change pricing you have to constantly change the discount base pricing. If it was a percentag…

When editing a record in a Pages DB the only option at the bottom of the page is a single save button. I know enough to bail on the page by using the browser back button however the addition of a formal cancel button along side the save button would probably be for the best from a usability standpoint.

So as I theme and edit my sites theme and things like that I have found that there is something I'm in need of but must do manually which I think would be awesome to allow for some automation. I would like to be able to have a button when viewing/editing a template within a theme to "copy to other theme". Now this means something different then the standard child/parent relationship, I'm talking about editing a custom theme item (like for my statuses) adding a link to a activity stream. So myself and another client that I talk to we both have the same issue, then I got bored and tried it on other IPS sites and even this site; and all seem to have the same issue. We posted support tickets and even noticed the bug in the tracker. But has sat idle since last September; no updates, no comments. Was wondering whats going on, since for end user stand point. Doesn't look good to get redirected back to home page, when someone sent you a direct link to a page that gave you a login gate. @Wind0ws @LaCollision
