IPS Community Suite 4 does not appear to allow member management on a "per group" basis. Default notification settings currently apply to all users, and can override individual user settings. Useful improvements would be: 1) set default notification settings to be applied to all members of a particular group. 2) Admin option for whether individual notification settings are permitted override defaults, both globally and per-group. 3) set user permissions on a per-group basis If there's some way to accomplish any of that now, I sure can't find it -- maybe somebody can point me in the right direction.

Hello everyone , i need lil info or help. whenever i upload any status or comment in status those are not counting in my total content. is it by default or im missing something. suppose i have 10 total content including topic , post comments etc, and i submit new status or comment on any status it should count as a content but its not and i still have 10 content. is it a bug, or im missing some thing..

Could we have some default date ranges for the admincp statistics section? I'm not sure "everything" is a very useful range to start with, and some quick links for 'last month', 'last year', etc, would be useful. And maybe the ability to browse back and forth by month and year, etc...

default search is by display name - this would be good if it was email as well. without having to go to the advanced search.

IMO it would be a good idea to create some redirect from the topic that no longer exists to the newly formed merged topic upon merging topics. As it currently stands when you merge two topics, one just disappears and the link to it that users may have bookmarked or been indexed in searches just suddenly display an error saying it doesn't exist. If this would instead redirect them to the new topic it would be a much better operation situation.

In order for the activity stream to be useful for RSS posting, we really need the ability to sort by when the content was created, not updated. This would eliminate the issue of replies/comments bumping up items in the list and being posted to Twitter, Facebook, etc again.

I'm wanting to completely remove the SQL Toolbox and Download Member List features as I feel they are an unnecessary point of attack and not at all required. The tasks you would use these features for could and should be completed securely using a SQL client such as MySQL Workbench or the command line. With the increasing amount of site breaches both big and small having features that allows a user to dump the entire member table is just inviting exploitation. Yet the official line from IPS Support is too just remove the permission to use these features... well a compromised admin account could just re-enable the feature, so I fail to see how that sufficiently resolv…

The new mention functionality is excellent. How about extending this functionality to other apps - gallery or pages records? For example I have a travel based community, I can populate a pages database with recommended hotels and by using a special symbol, ~ for example, I can embed a hotel record in a post as a type. There are many more uses - calendar events, gallery albums, basically I want to use the functionality to embed all kinds of stuff in the editor, not just members. @Lindy (see how easy I did that!) has mentioned that the new focus of IPS is content discovery, I believe expanding the mentions feature could be a perfect enhancement in that direction.

Please consider allowing members to have a private galleries and notes. So when someone registers they can immediately start creating and drafting private content. It helps considerably to start an active community to give new members something to do and come back for.

You've done it again. Can you please group your queries against the same table? On a test database I set up your approach takes approximately 22 minutes. Reinstalling that database however, and then instead making two queries: one for the columns and one for the indexes, makes it take just 6 minutes. I have been using the IPS download system for many years. My members are happy with the download system except for a few things I am going to list. IPB has always been really good with the download system which is why I continue to use the product. In my opinion, no other product can deliver what IPB does with the download system. It seems that it is a forgotten thing with all companies. Anyway, let me post what I think and hear needs to be improved. The 1st is, although I have fixed it on my site the "Featured Files" on the main page needs to be fixed so the buttons fully show. The subject lines from IP.Commerce emails are .... confusing? When I send payment to purchase, the email subject: "Payment received for product" When I receive payment from purchase, the email subject: "You have earned $$!" This is from the IP.Commerce / Marketplace purchases here in the IPS community.

Here is example: First two images are big. So they "cover" state is well. But last three images is very small. See them: So they view is bad (and in post creating this view is bad too): Can you change layout from background-image to <img> tag? For tag we can set max-width: 100% and max-height: 100% and result will be as "contain", but with empty lines on some side.. But I think this is better, than bad resize of little. Or you can create you better solution) Thanks

I have ~100k users on my forum. I start Bulk Mail (70k Recipients), but it's fail's 502 error. I thought that the delivery goes through the tasks by CRON (as it was in previous versions of the forum), but very confused that in the 4.x forum is exhausted and there is even a setting (it was the number of recipients of letters per minute) Why?

Can we please get a pic rotation tool? I've put in tickets, I'm tired of asking people to send raw pics, they won't bother anymore. I see the same pics on facebook and they are fine. I'm not asking to fix the problem, just to give us the option to fix the pics. Thanks

As far as I can tell, in the "renew" , "manage purchases" & "download" screens there are no links leading back to the original file in the market place. Why have one? Because I want to go read the original description, find the support thread, see dates of updates etc. Without a link I have to back out and search for it. (hard) The original marketplace location is somewhat like the "profile" page for the item. no link to it Please add????

Hello! I had a request for a default sort order on forums. Previously in IPB 3 we were able to set the default as inverse, allowing forums to be sorted with the oldest on top and newest on bottom. This was great for "first in last out" style of content, which my community used in a few places. I saw that you can select "Ascending" as a personal sort order, but it is not an option as a default in the forum settings.
