In IPS3 , there was an option to track and recover deleted posts, In IPS4 items that are deleted are deleted instantly, recovery is no longer a feature Why is that ? we need that option back

Just because I know this will likely never be core I would love if someone made some sort of mod to be able to tag groups (with a setting to choose which groups can be tagged). That way an entire group can come to look at a post.

Hi, this subject has been occupying me for a while, but i got no final answers yet, so i will make this topic public. In 2015 (around the final release of 4.0) i uploaded my translationpack for IPS 4... This contained the IPS-Logo (The "V") and a german flag in the picture in the marketplace... I received a message from IPS, (from @Rhett ) requesting to remove the logo because of copyright, etc.Off course, i respected this and removed the logo. I replied and he told me, every "unofficial" / 3rd Party was requested to remove the logo... Ok, i was fine with this.... Today, 2 years later, 90% of the stuff still uses the logo and... Hey there, I have a litte question and notice this first last days, since I use a Windows PC. On the main Menu Bar from IPB with the default theme: When I'm using chrome on Mac I need only a single click to to enter the first category links and when I hover with the mouse over the first category I can see the subcategories. On Windows the first click open the subcategories and need to tap again to open the first category links. Is this a bug provided by chrome?

On our forum we support from different departments. To give support we use a ticket system from IP.commerce. The ticket system makes it possible to create tickets for different departments. The Pipe mail is responsible for delivering the mail at the proper department. Now when using the ticket system, we detect a problem. After I spoke with Invisionpower support, they say it isn’t a bug, but a feature. And that it would be better to share it in “Company Feedback” forum. Hi, i've been checking the function getReciprocalItems() and it return an array as {field_id} => array( object, object... ) The problem is, the objects are not ordered by anything (other by the order they are got from the cms_database_fields_reciprocal_map records order, which sucks. There is no easy solution for this. I suggest providing another function to return all the records as an array( object, object... ), as people can then test for what type of record it is. Hi. I recently updated my forums. I took the advice of the pre-upgrade checker to get PHP 7 installed on my server. Anyway, several weeks later I happened to click on the "security" link in the control panel and found 3 warnings. One of them in red and flagged as serious. The warnings are related to the new PHP and included disabling several commands in PHP. I had done this already in the past, but updating to PHP 7 had re-enabled these apparently dangerous commands. I'm disappointed that if IPS finds serious security issues it doesn't actually tell me. Why aren't those warnings on the dashboard with the other warnings about admins logging in and failed login attempt…

I like the drag and drop for attachments. But can we have just a little more control over managing them? Like maybe pushing them to an album, editing the filename or description? Also, while we are on the subject of images... Any chance we will see an album for cover and profile photos? Please?

I know it's just a graphical thing, but it would be nice to rearrange the member groups in the ACP. instead of just alphabetical. Allowing us to manually arrange how they are displayed (similar to how plugins and login handlers are displayed). Personally I would like to see Staff ranks on top and have the hierarchy top down but overall just allow manual sorting/placements.

Hello! When watching topics, inside a forum, the hover that shows first or last post, are genious. but, what is missing is a link to that latest post inside that box, at top of the scroll or at the end of it Also, the same hover should be added to the list of the stream results. ...!!! why not? wouldnt that be supercool? watching topic titles view , technically is the same as watching the stream results titles, right ?

Hey, is there any way to add css / javascript files to a new created application? I tried to add <css css_location="front" css_app="name_of_the_app" css_attributes="" css_name="application.css"></css> in my .phtml file but it does not work. I also tried {parse addtohead="file.css" type="css"} {parse addtohead="file.js" type="javascript"} My css / js files are stored in "application/myApplication/css/front/file.css" and "application/myApplication/js/front/file.js". They are not handled by the application automatically. What's the best way to do that? Is there a tutorial?

There is no way to reverse an action. What happens if one is given by mistake? Sure, you can deduct the point from the admin panel by editing the count, but then the action is still there, and that removes another point on expiry messing up the count. Have a button to reverse the action. This will remove the point and the action. A note function would be great as well, to comment on why it was reversed.

I was advised to post in here because my enquiry about this issue wasn't anything that could be resolved in a ticket. Since 2002 my forums installation has been in domain/forums/ and I'd like to keep it like that. I want links to other websites to open in a new tab (I have set it to force this in Posting/Links), but I want links inside the same domain to open in the same tab. Now with that setting if I link to anything outside the /forums/ on my same domain then it forces 'external' to be put into the link and thus such links open in a new tab/window. The AA stream auto updates, very cool. But it is kind of pointless... If the intent is for people that keep the stream open and like to read new results as they come in, why make them click every time? It should automatically load. Makes reading a stream much easier. Hands-free. Maybe it is not designed for that? Okay then... If the intent is to load new results as you are scrolling and viewing the stream, it is pointless because it is at the top and never seen, everything loads at the bottom. Maybe put it at the bottom (also?), or floating at the top of the window, so we know. Or similar to the alert at the bottom for topics. We don't know unless we scrol…

This one of those "for fun" blue sky suggestions that's maybe not so unrealistic. I was going to write a sassy post on how we're so afraid of everyone hitting delete and wiping out the community ... goodness gracious, we don't trust Members to delete their own content, we don't allow Club Owners to delete content, and now we don't trust Moderators or Admins to delete content with the new delayed deletes. Introducing the new Cloud Delete, a new service by IPS that will archive and store any deleted content for restoration.

Some users (including me actually) are facing random double posts ever since we moved to IPS 4. We submit a post ONLY ONCE (I am not an idiot, I pressed just once), but SOMETIMES the post got published twice and we get a double post with the exact same content. If the "merge double posts" option is enabled, then we get one post but with twice its content (so if I reply "hello world" the post will show "hello world hello world"). I couldn't find out why is this happening, especially because it if completely random. But there is a possible fix for this - simply don't allow double posts with the exact same content.
