0xMerlin Posted March 8, 2016 Share Posted March 8, 2016 It seems the ability to disable gif's in avatars was removed in 4.x. We had this feature in 3.x. Please add it back in. Plenty of niches do not allow animated avatars at all (animated gifs is fine, mods can police that kind of stuff if it gets excessive) for example as a writing forum that gets a 10k+ posts per day, it gets super obnoxious to see animated avatars, something that plagues the software we are coming from to IPS pretty bad. On the recent upgrade from 3.x avatars have come to life and we had decided to turn them off years ago as multiple animations on a topic get quite irritating.
