  1. I was disappointed when I first heard about this. After reading all the posts in this topic I understand the decision and I feel more hopeful. I'm glad developers will have more freedom. I didn't like the direction Invision was going with forcing installations from the MarketPlace in the AdminCP. I'd rather have the option of getting apps directly from the developers, but I didn't before because developers couldn't promote their websites within the Marketplace. It was hard to tell who actively supported products on their own website. I also like that developers will be able to make apps that more directly compete with other apps or restore removed features. I like that developers can quickly release bug fixes without waiting days for IPS to approve it. I would still like a way to quickly search for modifications without visiting dozens of websites, but I think an external website can work quite well. I used to use vBulletin before they tanked, and their modification directory was hosted on a separate domain. It was an active community before version 5. I think anyone who cared about modifying their software could easily find it if they tried. That one was a simple forum, but I imagine one using IPS applications will be more robust. As a customer, I'll continue to purchase and support apps from third-party devs. I hope that other customers will too and that the developers will be motivated enough to maintain their apps elsewhere.
  2. I have an achievement rule set to award 1 point when a member votes on a poll. I just noticed that my members haven't been getting points awarded for this, even though all the other rules are working as expected. What could cause this?
  3. Thanks, let me know and I'd be happy to give you the access you need. It might be relevant to mention that my forum was already 10 years old when I switched from vBulletin to Invision Community in 2017. I didn't use reputation back then anyway, but it might account for something "being weird" in my database.
  4. Yes. I blurred the topic titles, but below you can see they are all listed as "0". I checked and none of the listed threads have any reactions in them. My forum does use reactions though, and the other two columns on the page (most given and received reactions) look correct.
  5. On the reaction stats page, I see a column that says "Topics what accumulated the most reactions". 1. This seems to be a typo or poor English (what should be that). 2. All the topics listed have zero reactions in them. I know how to fix #1 myself, but not #2. Can this be fixed?

  8. Nevermind my post above. I figured it out. A comma needs to be entered before pushing the save button or the text won't submit as a tag.
  9. I installed the plugin and see the options to mass tag, but it isn't working. The window pops up, I enter my tags, click the save button, then the window closes after a few seconds without adding any tags to the selected threads. I tried this with both the "Change Prefix & Add Tags" and "Replace Prefix & Tags" options. I'm on Invision Community v4.7.11.1.
  10. I recently updated from IPS 4.4 to 4.7. I previously had your bookmark plugin on 4.4 and it was working fine. After upgrading to 4.7, I also upgraded your plugin to the latest version. The plugin is enabled and I see it in a tab on member profiles and options for it in notifications, but I can't find any buttons or links on content to add new bookmarks.
  11. Hi, I recently upgraded from Invision Community 4.4 to version 4.7. I'm aware the old member ranks were supposed to be moved to a new field and accessible under a section called "Retained". I believe my conversion didn't complete properly because I'm getting site errors and don't see what others have in the screenshots on this forum. My Retained section looks like this: The one on the left is in the profile section and the one on the right is what I see when I edit the profile. I'm also getting an error when I attempt to view group members in the ACP (Members > Groups > clicking the number in the Members column). When I look at the core_members table, there is still a members_title column with the old ranks. I know how to create a field_21 and populate it with the content of members_title, but I'm not sure if there might still be problems after doing this if there was a conversion error.

  13. I hope this is an incomplete in-progress version, because it's lacking basic features that make it extremely inconvenient to use. The main issue is it's difficult to find and install plugins I've already purchased. Currently, I have to open Marketplace in the ACP, open a second browser window, go to the website Marketplace, look at my list of purchases, copy the name of the one I want to find, paste it into the ACP marketplace, then I can install. I can't even search for plugins from memory most of the time. The Marketplace in the ACP seems to only be capable of searching for exact terms. For example, if my plugin has "Forums" in the title, it won't come up if I search for "Forum" instead. However, this wouldn't matter to me if I could easily access my purchased plugins in the first place. I don't mind going to the website for the full-featured experience, but I shouldn't have to have to constantly go back and forth between two browser windows. If I'm going to be required to use the ACP to install the plugins I've purchased, it should make it much easier to find them.

  15. I'd like to configure and test plugins on my authorized test url before putting them on the live server. I get this error when I try to connect to the Marketplace in the dashboard: "There was an error authenticating with the Marketplace. Please try again later or contact technical support for assistance." I've confirmed this is because I've password protected the site. I know it's the issue because it works when I remove the password. I saw in another thread I need to whitelist /index.php?app=core&module=system&controller=marketplace How do I do this? None of the instructions I've around found the internet have worked.   16. In this one, can you search for the member in the thread, or do you have to scroll through all the pages in a long thread to manually find a post by them first?
  17. What I'm looking for is a plugin that will list all members who posted in the topic and help me quickly get to all their posts within the thread. Will this plugin also take me to their posts, or is it display only?
  18. Yeah, looks like a caching issue. Topics created after a forum is ignored don't show up; only the older ones. Suppose we just have to wait for it to refresh. Thanks.
  19. I just installed the plugin. I have all the boxes checked to ignore content from the forums from as many places as possible. They are gone from the index, search and activity streams. However, topics from those forums still appear in the Topic feed widgets. Honor permissions is checked on the widgets and users don't see other forums they don't have permissions to view. Do you know what might be going wrong?
  20. This button is missing for my member usergroup: But available to my administrator usergroup Any idea why? Both groups can still remove bookmarks directly from the post. I can't find a per usergroup permission for the "remove bookmark" option. EDIT: Sorry @Fosters, nevermind. This has been resolved. I found the permission. Instead of deleting this post I'll post what I missed in case anyone else has this issue. I got confused because when I tried to edit the permissions for "Bookmarks" in the Applications section, I got a message that said: "You can control which groups have access to the application by changing the permissions on the modules within the application." I didn't see that from here, there was an additional dropdown with the bookmark module inside where I could edit the permissions. I created a new usergroup since I initially installed the application, and I didn't realize I needed to grant access there as well as in the main usergroup section.
  21. I'd need it to hide them altogether so they can lurk threads without being exposed. Admin don't actually need to see them in these blocks. Is it possible to make it a global and not record them at all? I understand if this is an unusual feature you don't want to put in your main plugin - I might be willing to pay extra for it. I'm requesting this because some of my members care enough about having it to pay as part of their subscription, but I'm trying to be careful about not breaching privacy with it by giving members an option to opt out of being recorded.

It hasn't been an issue yet and maybe it never will be, but I'm concerned some members might complain if they feel exposed if they thought "browse anonymously" would keep their browsing private. Changing the popup isn't necessary for me since I'm content with only showing the widget to the usergroup I'm giving access, which already hides the date. It's just that it's still possible to extrapolate that someone is currently online if their name wasn't there and then appears when the page is refreshed.
  23. @All Astronauts is there any way to have an option to make these plugins respect the "browse anonymously" option and not list members who check that when they log in? Seems like the default software goes out of its way to hide their last login date on their profiles, but this plugin gives them away.
