It seems that embedded youtube videos can not be currently be center aligned. There is also a bug when you embed a youtube video in a table, then cut and paste the table. The video will suddenly take up the entire post, however large the browser window may be, making it very difficult to repair. Youtube videos also can not be center aligned within a table. Hope this helps

Hello, For wordpress, joomla and other CMS many extensions and plugins imports profiles informations from connected social netwrks like linkedin or facebook, dont know why IPB "4" import only email and name, on the other hand we have custom fields, why we cant map profiles information with custom field !? here's a screenshot from a joomla extension called jfbconnect :

We're really pleased with 4.2 - It's a nice step forward particularly in terms of features and the revised AdminCP etc. Too early to tell about speed / improved SEO etc, obviously, but hopefully we'll see what others are reporting. One minor thing, though - The theme on this forum is subtly different to our new base theme. Is it available for all, or is it reserved for the IPS forum? There are some really nice features on here that we'd love to integrate.

Can i suggest that the list of Venue Names (when adding an event) be listed alphabetically? I notice at the moment, they're just listed by when they were added (I'm guessing by index number), but if they were listed alphabetically, it would make it easier for people to find their venue if/when there's alot of venues in that list.

There is no option to mark so called "Out of date" language strings as translated. For exmaple, If older .xml file is imported to the newer IPS CS version, all languge strings are marked as out of date and there is no option to mark most of them as translated. At least per page button "Mark translated" should be added. Or it should be the database record which is containing information with changed language strings per each IPS CS version. If you are importing xml file now, then all language strings are at once out of date and this is very strange and unprofessional. (<app key="core" version="101006">)

I'd like to see IPS add 2 clubs to this website: Admins Club Coders Club These 2 clubs would serve as examples of how to set up and run clubs on our own sites and give IPS4 developers a place to see first hand how the new clubs feature really functions on a site. Hopefully, the experience running these clubs will lead to more enhancements to this 4.2 feature. And, I could use more help making coding changes to IPS4 and a club might work better for me than the current forums (which have never helped me when posting coding questions since I hardly ever get any answers). Clubs may be a better solution than a couple of individual forums here for Admins and Dev…

Hello, We are looking for this option for years already. IPS, please bring built-in system that will allow adjust price of packages that must be assigned assigned to its parent package and that have its own renewal. E.g. Parent pack A has renewal 50 US$ every month. I renew in advance, 12 months. Now I purchase package B, that must be assigned to package A, it has its own renewal, 25 US$, so price so be adjusted to expiry date of the parent, as renewal dates are bundled to parent expiry date. Currently IPS supports the ability to change the owner of a file in Downloads. However, the ability to change the author of a blog post is not supported. A blog entry can be moved to a different blog but the author of the blog entry remains the same. The ability to change the author of a blog post will be greatly appreciated and be consistent with other functionality.

I'm setting up a simple site where only Grid View will be used for forums. I noticed that my forum rules text doesn't show in the create topic form so the user never sees my rules for that forum/category.

Multiple uploads to gallery from phone or tablet is so needed! We are missing out on 1000's of uploads because people give up after the hassle of uploading one image at a time. If there's a way and I'm missing it please let me know. I would love to make a screen-cast for our users.

In the AdminCP there is a block we can add here: AdminCP > System > Member Statistics which gives the total number of registered members on the front end of the web site. Request that you give a similar result in the following area: AdminCP > Members > Groups Somewhere on the page it would be nice to have a similar view of the total number of registered users there to differentiate the numbers in the different groups. The only way to know how many registered users is to leave the AdminCP and go to a page on the front end of the web site to view the total number of registered users if we have placed the block 'Member Statistics" on…

Themes should come with 26 default cover photos for profiles. These photos should be selected for a particular profile as the default depending on the first letter of the user's display name. This is like the new letter avatars in 4.2 except that it is for cover photos. As it is now, the default cover photo is a big black area that doesn't look very nice. Theme makers could override the stock IPS4 letter cover photos with their own to better match the theme.

I would love a way to see how many users uses each display mode (table, grid, fluid) - is it possible? I'm curious because I still keep the 'table' mode as default, but I consider changing the default mode to 'fluid' - but before I do that I wish to know how many users, if at all, even noticed that this option exist - and how many users uses it. If I'll see that a lot of people are using it already - it will make me more confident about setting it as default.

WIth the core IPS software as long as you have active license you have access to the last version of the software. It doesn't matter if you left your license expire for years, you can still renew and get access to the latest coolest stuff. Apparently 3rd party developers do not have to follow the same logic and while some are honoring the IPS approach we have seen many devs asking for customers to buy again when their apps were updated between 3.x and 4.x. Even though they are deviating from the IPS approach it is fair enough, all of the mods required complete rewrite and especially the skins were made from 0. Let me first say that I think anybody on any message forum who has the balls big enough to report the admin, the owner of the site, is just asking for trouble. What I'm curious about is why IPS ever included this in the software. By default, there should be no 'Report' feature attached to the admin's account because they are the ones who promote users to staff positions, install and configure the forum software, and work on administrative level things in relation to the forum software. Second, if it isn't possible to remove the 'report' feature from admin usergroups, howabout including an option to disable it? Sort of like how you can enable or disable the warning str…

I don't like IPS's handling of Stripe's payments, especially recurring payments. It is unreliable and buggy. Stripe's own subscription system handled payments flawlessly, and I would like an option to use that paygate instead of IPS's internal system.

The CKEditor has nicer defaults for article editing. I especially like the Styles and Format menus. IPS4 editor menu contains font color and font size. I had a user send me a message today that the color/size menus made the editor feel too complicated and she would rather have Styles/Format menus to pick from a list of IPS4 styles and whether the block was for a heading or normal text. Please consider changing the default editor menu to use an IPS4 supported Styles/Format menu rather than picking font color/size (which gives too much choice to be easy for some users).

I am trying to advertise some of my clubs in social networks, to get more members into my community. The problem is, when guests they click the "join button" they are shown the error screen "this page is not available, yada yada". They should be directed to the registration/login screen informing them they shoud register the community prior to joining the club.

I've lost count of the times I've accidentally pressed the forum icon on tablet/mobile and marked a forum read. Having an option to undo this or a pop up confirmation "are you sure you want to mark all forums read" would be very handy for my fat thumbs.

At the moment when setting up the social media section for Facebook in ACP you can only associate a personal Facebook account. This means that it would post on your timeline. When you have a community page on Facebook, linking to your personal FB is ok but you should have the option to post to a page that account manages. That way your personal FB feed is clear and the relevant posts get shared to the page instead.
