As per title What is purpose of this line in the html template <h2 class="ipsType_sectionTitle ipsHide ipsType_medium ipsType_reset ipsClear">5 topics in this forum</h2> If do not want it to show then why not remove it completely It just seems so silly, earlier versions it was showing but now you add the class .ipsHide If we alter the template to remove the .ipsHide then we have to revert template and remove the css from template with possibly every upgrade Unless someone can explain a good reason why it is now like that ?

I'm not sure if this a bug or by design, but when in a forum/sub-forum in fluid view, the breadcrumb at the top just shows: "Forums" instead of: "Forums>Category1>Forum1" Also, the title is just "Topics", as opposed to the title of the forum you're in, for example "Forum1... Bug or feature?

The imageproxy feature should resize/optimize images like the build image uploader does. We have many users that uploads images that are 4-5mb each, so we have topics with 200-500MB with images total. So the space is used up fast and its very slow to load.

It would be better if the user could only enter 0.99, 1.99, 4.99, 19.99 etc, or only choose from a list of preset prices. For some reason people love to get unique and start charging strange amounts.

It would be great if there was a built-in option for members to close their account. This function would need three permission settings and an option to delete or leave their content. Off Members can close Admin to approve It would be so useful and save a lot of time for administrators. If someone wants to leave, there is no point forcing them to stay as they are of very little use. Thanks, Si

Messages in private messenger are merged by the same rules as on forums. But they should not be merged. Each new personal message should be separate message. Please add ability to do that.

Hello. 1. Now there is one "Validating" tab in ACP for all validating members regardless of reason of getting that status and there is no way to filter only members which are must be approved manually. I suggest to create separate tab for them, "NOT APPROVED" for example. Or add a search filter which allows us to see only members which needs to be approved manually. 2. Also there is need for a way to get notifications about new members which needs to be approved manually.

Liking the new features, particularly Clubs, but thought I'd mention a couple of things that I'd really like to see improved... In Clubs, if you have your settings set so that all new clubs need to be approved by an admin, there doesn't seem to be any provision for sending out an email or notification that a new club is pending approval. At the moment, it's a case of just checking the clubs page to see if anything new has arrived. If I'm missing something, apologies, but I can't see where such a notification can be configured. In Commerce, if you set up a product as a non physical subscription, then it makes sense to have it set so that only one can be purchased…

If you log in as someone and they have not agreed to the change in TOS a simple notification should inform the admin of this, but preserve the users un-agreed state so the admin does not have to 'agree' for them.

I believe that first priority of any new software release should be backwards compatibility. Before introducing new features and improvements to existing features, you need to make sure that what worked in previous releases will continue working in a new release. This is the most basic principle of any software development. Unfortunately this is not what is happening with IPS. We have a custom theme, and after upgrade to 4.2, a lot of stuff does not work anymore, and some of the things look really ugly. Honestly, I had never thought of this before until one of my registered members flagged this for my attention. But, he noticed that he wasn't able to edit personal messages he has sent. This flagged my interest so I logged into my ACP and discovered, to my horror, that there are virtually no settings for the personal messaging system. I seem to recall that while there weren't detailed settings in previous versions there was at least some semblance of control over managing the system. Let me guess? With the cool new embeds I find that I need to be able to control this content more directly. I have some fields that I use together in the actual templates of both the record list and display template to create a single thing so when using the cool new embeds they look like a bit of a train wreck. Specifically for pages it would be awesome if there were a default "embed" template that you can set per database and use your custom fields and display however you want.

I noticed that in the native Admin Advertisements area there are choices to view: Pending, Disabled, Enabled and All. Disabled shows all ads both enabled and disabled, just like All. I'm viewing on iPad. Nothing earth shattering but looks like a little bug.

Not sure if this is the right subforum to ask this, but the question may apply to both, IPS and third party developers. I've seen some threads with robust discussion about the need or not of more privacy features in profiles. There was a hook for 3.4 that I used but it was based on the Friends system. With Friends gone, the way that third party hook worked is also gone. Would IPS consider incorporating something like "Approve Followers" on a per member basis? (like it was done with Friends on 3.4, where you had the option to manually approve each request or just let anyone befriend you). Hello, I would like to be able to optionally activate/deactivate a dialog window (via AdminCP) which pops up before a user can start a new topic in the forum. The idea behind such a feature is the fact that users usually do not read neither the FAQs nor the forum rules before a new post is started. As a result of this, the same questions are asked again and again. With such a feature (like at a ticket system) the user shall be forced to re-read the FAQs/Forum rules before a new thread can be started. The user must confirm with a button before he can proceed. Is anyone else having these issues accessing Client Area, as after entering my details (which are 100% correct) it tells me have been locked out for 29 minutes. This is really silly and annoying as have reported it but am getting absolutely no response Also, why should I have to enter my details when am already logged in on the forum, should they not work together ? Hello, As far as I can see, Public Clubs won't require anything. people can see them, enter and participate in their Contents. That feature means there is no need for in-clubs-restriction ... like create topic and ... So that doesn't make sense we have choose these type of club topics for Auto generated topics? Auto generation topics like in Pages categories, Files categories ... There is a Forum setting for these type of categories and Club Feature is not included in forum list. that make sense Clubs Topics are not included in these lists but for Public Clubs, I think it different and they might be included.
