How can I make a topic feed without showing other people's topic listed Forum has Users can see topics posted by other users? turned off topic block feed has Honor permissions? turned off However? It still shows other people's topic. Clicking on them would give me You do not have permission to view this content. Error code: 2F173/H Wouldn't the topic block be saying there's no topic in this forum yet?

Hola! There's an option that's not yet created for Club creation permissions that I'd love to see. A combination of "Closed" and "Read Only" I would love this: Everyone can see the club and its posts, but only members can participate. Users need to ask a leader to join. I want everyone to be able to see Club topics on my homepage (including guests), but instead of needing to be invited my a club leader to join, they request to join (versus just automatically being able to join themselves). Thoughts?

Hello, I went to invisionpower board from phpbb3, and the topic links are very different. For example, this is phpbb3: http://www.sitename.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=21331 This is IPB: http://www.sitename.com/forum/index.php?/topic/21331-TOPIC_TITLE_HERE/ Can I find a certain topic by its id? I know the ID from phpbb3, but I can't just modify the link because I need the title too. Thank you.

I want to use certain tags only to easily classify certain resources. these tags are not useful for members and would like to make them invisible. It is a plus for me in certain classification. Like for example some widgets, impossible to put a link towards a resource to display a specific resource. I then wish to use a coded tag (01.02) and invisible to members allowing the widget to display the file or files that I want.

Hi! Like from object, can be a great feature add ability to change category icon in pages database via category settings. otherwise, atm, all category contain same icon and this isn't a great view. i hope this can be implemented in feature release - Edit: this can be a good feature also in forum category... - regards, S.N.

I know a mod was made to add Icons to Pages. I also saw a post about using CSS to do this, but has anyone added Icons to their Downloads Categories in a cleaner way than CSS? Or at least provide better detail on how to do it with CSS? Thank you.

It would be nice if you could provide a way for us to hide some advanced editor options behind a button (group them) or allow for a button to expand the list of editor tools for a user. My use case is that we have users who want a wide variety of advanced buttons to be present, like subscript and superscript, but I don't want to clutter the view too much for regular users.

Image board owners face a major struggle between forums for images and Gallery. They are disconnected. For those of us that run image boards IP4.x has some issues I've been thinking over. There is some disconnected logic regarding images. I have boards for posting images but I also want to use gallery. I am going to end up with fragmented content all over the place and no easy way to find content from a specific user. It's difficult to view IMAGE attachments per user in profile. You can see "posts" or "topics" but not attachments. If we have boards that are set up for posting images AND Gallery installed there is a logical disconnect. We end up with so…

In 4.5, there is a delicious option "Topic List View"! 👋 Is it possible to add a similar filter in the Activity>My Activity Streams>Create new stream? 🧑 So that I can select forums and other options and see the latest created topics with their first posts? This would also be convenient for moderators too. It would be ideal to make edits on the spot-correcting headers, moving, deleting, hiding, etc.

After much search, very confuse, such frustrate, wow, I have no other option besides asking/suggesting it here: Is there any way, or can you add a way, to change the default font size with which the forums are displayed? The fonts are just too small to be comfortably readable, especially on the mobile interface. this could be an ACP site-wide setting or a per-user-by-user choice. Ctrl+mouse wheel isn't a solution since it enlarges everything - including avatars, menus and everything else - which is actually properly sized. and also there's the issue of not having mouse wheels (or a Ctrl key) on phones nowadays... Hey team, I had an idea for an application... I would love for when a member logs in for the first time, or something is launched on your forum, to visually show some cues - literally pointing to important parts of the website. For example, a member logs in, and most of the screen darkens except for the "Create" button at the top and a message pops up saying "This is how to create a new topic." Or "This is where to view your profile" or "This is where to leave a comment," that kind of thing. They can click "Got it" and the mini tutorial disappears. The problem with hashtags for this feature is you have to have them all though out and added in the ACP, but hashtags happen organically in the moment and it's tedious to have go do this when you want to promote something. So keep the back end for 'default' hashtags ones you know you would like to use. From the front side some way to have a list of hashtags that will accumulate as you use them in any of the media, and perhaps a checkbox to remember these hashtags for future promotions. (permissions could retain or purge based on user or group?) If you start promoting content and then wish to promote it all using the same hashtag its best if you can tap existing …

Hiding/deleting posts is always a tricky issue. It's necessary, but it can create new discussions, because the users who's posts got hidden can get pretty mad. On Facebook Pages this is solved quite nicely. If you hide a post, no one will see it anymore BUT the author. So provoking posts will not cause any trouble, but the author won't get mad, because he/she will still see the post. This might be a nice option to have on IP.Board as well.

If a user posts a poll and sets it not to display the names of the people who voted for each option, members don't get warned that their vote will be public and they may wish to share their opinion anonymously. However, the author of the poll can just edit the poll to set it to public, and see the names and choices of everyone who has already voted. This defeats the point of having private polls. Either it shouldn't be possible to change a poll from private to public, or votes from when it was private should be anonymised.

Sometimes the server or Internet connection is slowed down. When answering or creating a topic, the person can't stand it and presses "Send" a second time. Duplicates are obtained. It would be good to solve this problem. And for one thing, the problem of cross-posting to deal with - this will help the moderators.

Please add a Check-in button that can be actived by moderators or who is invited in the event. I was use the event to register customer who have to come to my store to take out something, now in the page appear all customers in what time have to come to my store, what would like to do is a moderator or the user of the event invited can make a Check-in action. Then I will know who is invited and who is already come. Maybe ''Event completed'' instead Check-in Or add this ''ask user action'' feature as a moderator tool that can be used in all suite environments.

Good Day, I have two sites hosted by Invision (in-the-cloud) and, up to now, I have loved my sites and the service. However, I have to admit my recent experiences have made me a shade cranky. There needs to be a clear and easy to find guide for terminating a site. I put in support tickets which have gone unanswered. I tried doing a support ticket via the Manage your site option and keep getting a Something Went Wrong page. I have searched the current guides and done all that I can do think of to cancel one of my two sites. I finally had to removed my credit card information and cancel automatic payments. Hello, Since I allowed upload of images on my forum, more and more users with slow connections are getting this non-descriptive error. Thing that makes me mad from your side, dear Invision Community, is that you didn't bother to at least add a description to that error. My findings are that is a thing purely from your side, since my server settings as well as image settings are optimized to the core. Can someone shed some light on this issue?
