Currently I am seeing within Akamai (the CDN & Web Application Firewall in use for www.zero88.com/forum) some blocked POST requests when end users are trying reply to an item on the forum. Something that spikes my interest is that it looks like that there are some values stored in a cookie which are being send together with the POST request which are classified by our WAF as a XSS attempt. When people clear their cache or visit the website incognito it seems that the issue does not happen which does somewhat confirm my initial thought it could be due to some string which is being sent with the POST request stored in a cookie (or something else which is hap…

I didn't catch this until now, but a bunch of users were marked as Spam on October 17th. The log only says "{"spammer":"1"} " under account activity with no mention of whodunnit. Some of them are users that I know personally, so I know for a fact that I didn't mark them as spam, and there is no way I did that many spam tags on the same day without remembering it. Unfortunately, my Spam Defense logs prune at 30 days. Also, unfortunately, I don't recall when I did the last IPS update, but it sounds to be around the right time. I know it's probably not fixable on my site, but I at least wanted to make you aware of it and hear your thoughts.

Hi all, I've just installed a test version of 4.7.6 as my community is using 4.4, so I want to make sure everything works but I noticed when I add content it no longer gives the option to set a date to publish, so everything is immediate. Is this a feature which was removed? Or now a setting to be enabled? Thanks all

Hi All, We sometimes use Invision for our corporate customers. They log in to read private articles, blogs and reports that we've created for them. These are all big organisations. We've just been asked by one about Invision's security information, i.e. How secure is it, etc? I'm not a security expert so I don't know the words to search for in the forums and help areas. I've been trying to find some documentation on Info Security and things like that. Does anyone have a link to a document that I could share with the customer, please? Thanks, Nigel

BUG?: I had the image ordering set to Caption. The image scrolling arrows would then bump the user off at the end of any image row to land on the front page of the forum. BUG?: I then set the image ordering to Recently Updated. In one of the Albums, the scrolling arrows skipped over a particular image repeatedly. I couldn't figure out why. So I now have the image ordering set to Start Date and scrolling works OK so far. No bumps out of the gallery and no skips over some image. When a person pays for a product on our site, and chooses not to save the credit card information on the checkout page, "Guest" is passed to our payment gateway, Stripe, as the payer's name. Also, the payer's email address information is missing. This causes additional work for our accountant, who must look up the payer's name, for our accounting system. While upgrading my 3.4.x site, I noticed my other forums are on UTF8. Doing some research it seems UTF8MB4 is required for Emoji's. I didn't knew that while back. How can I convert my IPS 4.7.6 site DB which is using UTF8 to UTF8MB4? I tried to search in market place and nothing comes up under IPS Community Extras. Thanks.

Hi IPS, I've been looking at the RSS Feeds (with the aim of importing Blogs into Pages) and I noticed there are variations in the formatting of the feeds created from various places in the suite. Is there any particular reasoning behind this? I see it here on your offical site, so I'm assuming its by design or something to do with extracts vs full content. For example, if I click on your RSS icon at the bottom of the page, select Invision Community News, the feed contains no HTML, its been stripped and no optional GUIDs. I have the latest version but I cannot setup thread prefixes in the ACP. I want to setup multiple prefixes that say [COMPLETED] or [NOT COMPLETED] with colors. Where can I find this? Or do I need an application/plugin?
