I reached out to the author, but he could not really help me, as he just translated texts, he doesn't have the knowledge to understand what would screw with the application itself. The fact that the problem is limited only to the mobile view and doesn't happen in desktop view further underlines that you need intimate understanding of how the application works to understand why the problem is happening.

Thanks, I don't understand why I couldn't find this before, I really looked 🙂 So just the issue with the link to first unread post in mobile in Hebrew remains. Any idea how a translation can affect this functionality? Isn't it just texts for resources?

Hi, I recently upgraded my IPB forum from an ancient 3.X version to the latest and still facing some issues. 1. I installed a dark theme alongside the default. I personally as the administrator am seeing the Theme selection drop down at the bottom of the board and can switch between themes, but my users are reporting that they cannot see this drop down. I couldn't find any sort of setting whether themes are available to non-admin users. Am I missing some permission somewhere? 2. I purchased the Hebrew translation for the site. Only in the mobile version of the forum there seems to be an issue with clicking on the star icon that is supposed to take you to the first unread message in the post. It seems to take you to somewhere in the middle of the page, not to the first unread post. This issue does not occur in the desktop view and does not occur in the mobile view when on the English translation. Any idea how the translation could affect this functionality? Thanks! Alon Jacobi

I think I managed to fix the issue by going into the capcha settings and updating them. That seems to have reset the issue.

Yes, when I extracted I got a folder named ips_c4f41. I went into it, selected all and copied into my forum folder. Before doing that I did try the auto-upgrade from 4.7.6 in the admin CP so my forum did do the upgrade process from 4.7.6 to 4.7.7.

Ok here is exactly what I have done now step by step. 1. I downloaded a fresh copy of the files from my client area (version 4.7.7 now). 2. I copied the zip file over the public_html folder of my server. 3. I extracted the contents of the zip file 4. I entered the folder it created, selected all the files and folders within and copied them over to my forum directory. I refreshed my site and tried to log in, got the same error now.

I did a full file text search for "IPS\Helpers\Form\Captcha\Default" on the contents of all files in the 4.7.6 directory and I could not find any references to it. Can this be something coming from the DB? looking at the core_themes table I see the following: maybe this key "default" there is what it is looking for?

As far as I can tell I copied over the entire thing though, I am not sure what I should be doing differently. How can I know which file exactly is supposedly missing?

Which file? the capcha.php file seems to be there.

Thank you all for your advice. It has worked and I was able to bypass the conversion stage and finish the upgrade. However, after the upgrade I am not able to log in. When I try to click on sign in I get the following error I could not find in the admin CP support tool anything to restore the default theme or anything. removing Tapatalk -> delete the mobiquo folder and delete the two tapatalk tables from the DB? Also - would upgrade work if I just take the fresh code of 4.7.6 (not copy over the old folder) and just copy over the conf_global file for the configuration? I know I would lose any add-ons, smileys and such, but I would retain all the DB data?

Hi, I have a very old 3.X board I am desperately trying to upgrade to 4.7.6. I have followed the instructions in the upgrade guide, copied the new files over the old ones, changed the PHP version to 8.0 and attempted the upgrade. During the conversion to UTF8 phase it gets stuck on a table called "tapatalk_push_data" at 83.97% and get stuck there forever. if I try to refresh the page or resume the conversion, I get an error message saying "Error: Invalid default value for 'updated' File: /system/Db/Db.php Line: 198" Any help here would be appreciated.
