Hello, I recently purchased IP suite with no extra applications and later that day decided I wanted IP.Content aswell. So I bought IP.Content and now I have no idea what to do. I cannot find the link to download IP.Content and install it to IPB. I contaceds support and they have not gotten back to me... How do I install IP.Content? I did a test upgrade for my community and overall it is ok. I'm planning in the next couple of days to do the live upgrade to 4.0.2. However, the background tasks for the test upgrade are still running. I used the manual option to start them: Now, obviously I want to stop the background processes on the test upgrade, so I do not overload the server with background processes running on 2 sites in the same time - for the test upgrade and for the live upgrade. How I can do that? How do I stop all background processes for my test site (without deleting/crashing the test site obviously)?

The filter option has moved under Sort By -> Custom. But there is apparently no option to retain a filter; it must be recreated each time a user visits the site. Is there another way to retain filter settings?

I have purchased and installed IPB 4.0 yesterday, it is awesome I am selfhosted. I have made an directory inside my domain on FTP. I called the directory "forum", when installing I have given the information "mydomain.de/forum". So everything worked. It installed, I am in full control of the board. In my client area it shows "mydomain.de/forum" as my licensed URL. Perfect. But in my board, when I click on "calander" for example. I am getting this link: http://mydomain.de/forum/index.php?/calendar/ Why is there that "index.php?". How can I remove it? Is it because forum is the same URL name as "forum" from the board? Ever since installing 4.01 I keep getting this EX126 error on the homepage of the forum. Also is there a way to restart all the reputation to zero? When I try to do it to individual profiles it won't save because I had some custom fields in the profiles before and I can't delete them.

I'm trying to make some changes to CKEditor through the config file but struggling a bit. In 3.x IP.Content, I had a custom field for my articles where I stored a topic ID, and then in the article's display template, I set a link to the topic simply adding the ID and a dash, like so "www.site.com/topic/666-", and it would automatically find the topic. That doesn't work in 4.x, so with the topic ID I have stored, I'm looking for a way to generate the full URL to the topic in the article's display template. Edit, I found that I can use ?showtopic=ID... but that doesn't look pretty, how can I generate the actual friendly URL?

Does anyone have a script they are using to register a user outside of the /forum folder. I have a php registration form I would like to use outside of the forum as it matches the rest of my main site. I know there is a lot of checks and balances that go into registering a new member. I tried to use the compatibility checker on https://www.invisionpower.com/support/faqs and it says it's for version 3.4 (see http://beta.theclanrs.com/check_requirements.php). Is there a checker for version 4 or are the requirements the same? Update: Found that the installer for IP.Board 4 has the requirement checks on the first step. Issue resolved.

I followed all the guides and still it says "error connection, timed out after 20 seconds" something along those lines, I even checked the information dozens of times to make sure it's correct because it would connect and then say "retrieving directory" and end up disconnecting and saying inactivity after 20 seconds, I will leave a screencast (jing) to show what happens, please help this is delaying the vision I have for my forums. I have been looking through the user groups options, etc and I can't figure out where to turn on the the other abilities for moderators. I logged in as a mod and they are missing the option to Lock Threads and other things. Where do you adjust this so that they have all of their abilities back? I just found it down in the staff area of the members sections
