I have a chat room on my forum, but since my upgrade the font colours are grey on grey. Very hard to see unless you squint. Is there any way to alter these colours and if so how would I do it? Thanks for your time.

Anyone still have an old copy of the install checker? I currently don't have access to server logs to find out why the install is 500 erroring; and end user is currently on 3.x ; the 4.x checker gives me some information, but the 3.x checker would give greenlights in the areas needed imo.

I see that the Source button on the editor is available when I do an announcement, but I am not able to add the Source button to the general post editor. Do I still need a plugin for this? Our users are really wanting to be able to edit the source of their posts.

While the new mobile theme really rocks, it sometimes is not wished by the user. A lot of members have asked me where they can switch of the mobile theme. Is that yet possible? If not, could it be implemented in 4.1? It should still be the default for guests and first-time-visitors with smartphones, but it would be great if the user could choose whether the mobile theme should be used on his mobile devices or not (a simple configuration setting).

Hi, I run a boating forum in my spare time and have been using IPB software for the last 10 to 15 years. I was recently away on active military service (my real job) and unfortunately, while I was away and obviously "otherwise engaged, my site was hacked and crashed. I'm not very technical (web dev wise) - most of my experience in this area is with WP. However I did try re uploading the core IPB files via FTP but to no avail. My hosting company assure me that the data base is fine and suggested that a full IPB upgrade by IPB should see things right again. All my licences are current / active. Are there any freelancers here who would take a look for me? Delighted…

Previously, I had been able to edit my language files so that the email notifying a member of a PM did not contain the entire message. Can anyone help me with how to do that now? I've spent all morning on it and still can't figure it out. Many communities share sensitive and personal information so this needs to be taken into consideration as an option. I have been into the New private message notification setting and found the HTML and Plain text email template but am at a loss as to how to exclude only the PM content.

I used to use a script to pull back the last x topics posted (regardless of last reply) because this doesn't seem to be possible in the forum. On v4 the forum names seem to have moved. Anyone know which table they are in?

I want to add h2,h3,h4,h5 tags to the CKEditor used by IPS4. I found out how to do it here on the CKEditor website. You can set default hastag in to twitter share from ACP. If i use IPB button to share into Twitter, it is like this now TITLE #DEFAULTHASTAG URL It should be like this TITLE URL #DEFAULTHASTAG Hastags belongs end of tweet.

I put this is another thread but just in case it isn't the right I am re-posting here... Just did a clean install and now I am having trouble integrating the database. The install created new tables in the database but kept the old ones so I need to merge/integrate/convert the old tables into the new ones. Tried to do it through upgrade but that didn't work. Is there anything that I did wrong and is there a way to fix it?

I have created a database and i have fully customized the look and everything but there is one big issue with record ratings okay for example here in this picture you can see the rating stars on each article image right?you can rate any article on the page, BUT no matter what article you going to rate, when you refresh the page it always saves for the first article on top, the featured one, for example you rated 2 stars for the last article on that page and when you refresh the page the rate is saved for the featured article on top :/ im sure the problem has something to do with this in my database index template i have customized, while i …

hay all im having major issues with the search and the activity stream on one of my sites . it wont let us create new activity streams it just spins . if you run a search and it brings up articles from pages it takes almost 5 min to complete and will not let you go to the second page . the site is on the latest software with a db converted from wordpress to pages . running about 13000 articles

Where are the custom blocks that a member can set for his own blog? Are these deleted during the upgrade to 4.0? The Admin can add block widgets, but they are global, and do not relate to the current blog. For example the "Recent Entries" widget shows recent entries for all blogs, not the one you're currently viewing. Blogs 4.0 has gotten severely gimped, it doesn't look like a blog at all - where's the archives, the post calendar, the recent comments (to the current blog), etc etc. Can anyone at IPS confirm that these are coming?

Hey, I've also submitted a ticket, but posting here incase anyone else has an idea of why It's not working. I just cleared my cache and now all of a sudden there's a problem with my license. I've entered it again, tried to refresh. Nothing. I've tried disabling my servers firewall completely but still nothing.

I know this has been asked out...but I'm apparently missing something when trying to work on external logins. I have a WordPress page, and I simply want it and IPS to share accounts (not necessarily login everyone at one). I believe I have everything configured appropriately in the ACP, the MySQL data, etc. Actually, I've verified that IPS is seeing the users in the WP table (WP and IPS share the same database).
