See above - (3.4 although curious if this is in 4 too). I have users who tend to spam multiple subforums with the same question .Is there a way to limit how many threads new users can start? I can't find the setting but I seem to recall maybe seeing it.

Hi All, I created 2 custom template bits : postContainerCustom postCustom Now, I am calling this postContainerCustom template bit from topic template bit. But it just gives Page not loaded error when trying to view a topic in a browser. Am I missing something ? Does these custom template bits need to be included somewhere ?

I have just upgraded a 3.4.9 site to V4.x and am using the external Pages index.php. Everything seems to be working fine except that no-one can login because the login URL keeps redirecting back to the home page: http://www.ybn.org.uk http://www.ybn.org.uk/community/login/ I can't see anything in the settings, conf_global or htaccess that might be causing it, all of the FURLs are set correctly and the background tasks have all completed. There are no php errors. Site is set off-line at the moment until I can check all of the settings, but although the admin side is fine, even admins can't log into the front. Another day, another question! [ Thanks for the help so far btw ]. Is it possible to completely redesign the page that carries the message : 'The page you are trying to access is not available to guests, but may be available if you sign in. 2S100/2' I've looked at the Language settings and made alterations to no_module_permission_guest ... but that route is limited and still shows the exclamation logo etc. Can I completely redesign a 'sorry, you are only a guest page'? I'd like to do this with blocks and a page template etc if possible. Or perhaps I could set a script inside this page to redirect the guest to …

1. The IPB Forum (v4.1.7) comes with sitemap generation. 2. Question: What Program triggers the sitemap generation. 3. I realised my last sitemap generated was based on info ONE month ago. Not sure what I may have accidentally removed/patched such that it is NOT triggering. Want to check. Or any logs I can check whether the task is producing error hence not updating ? 4. I have the task running in crontab every minute. Thanks.

Hi, We are looking to move our site over to IPS4, but we would need the pages to get tracked on our Hatchbuck system with a source code. There is a google analytics plugin but we can find anything for Hatchbuck, does anyone use webtracking with other software and what did you do to make it work. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello, I wanted to delete validating users, so i sorted them by validating and went to delete the first one. Then without noticing it went back to the regular "latest user" sort, and i started spam deleting newly created users. I ended up deleting 4 users (which i all got contact to now). I wish to get these users back. Okay, so I have been trying to get google to stop crawling and returning errors on everything from images to uploads to javascript_global and javascript_forums. I'm still working on lessening the errors. I'm trying to figure out why my robots.txt looks like this with the red X's. Can someone tell me what is wrong? This is only the first half of the robots.txt in the Google Webmaster tools/robots tester.

Is there a way to edit when tasks are run? I have the birthday mod installed and it is sending the birthday post out at the end of the day, it used to send it at the beginning of the day. I can see the task, I can run it manually, but I can see how to change when it runs.

Can someone provide a demonstration link of how the legacy [Page] [Next Page] tags render and display in IPS4 articles (Pages)? I'm trying to decide whether to convert numerous multipage articles as a single page with these tags, or create a separate page for each. Hopefully I've missed something easy. I've set up group permissions for my menus and page access, but does anyone know if it's possible to set the default index page, based on group membership? I'd like to show one home page for guests, encouraging them to sign up, listing reasons... and then another for members, once signed in (hopefully a redirect too once signing in) Any help would be really appreciated here. Is there a way to display category index pages as we do for databases? Under Database options you can set the style under Home Page Options. It'd be useful to do the same for categories, with thumbnails etc. Any help appreciated, thanks

Hello all, I am currently using IP.Content (Pages) to display a list of records from a database using the 2 Column Image Feature template. I am trying to figure out how to always make the second record being displayed to be a Google Ad. I have already created a new template called entryGoogleAd. Hello, After some generous help, I was able to get the footnotes plugin installed for CKeditor 4.5.8 (the current version; I'm running IPB 4.1.11). Footnotes are generated properly in forums posts and articles, however, for some strange reason every link I click opens in either a new tab or a new window! I've tried turning off the browser options to open new links in new tabs/windows (which I shouldn't have to do anyway, but what the hell), and that doesn't work. I've tried editing the source code in the test forums posts with footnotes, but soon discovered that any changes you make to the generated HTML (i.e. adding a "target="_parent" attribute) are not save…
