Adding google code to <head>

Hi all, my website has disappeared from Google overnight. :-( (10 years of being at the top with my PHP bb site)

Its asking me to verify my new site by adding code to the <head> of the site.

Please can someone advise how I am to do this? I have added the tracking code via the SEO tab but google says it needs to be in the Head of the site.

Just go to the GlobalTemplate and put it in the header.
